There is a catch, if the provider turns out ti be that of a certain USA based company the US govco has access, via court order to the metadata. Another potential catch is for iphone users who, even if they delete the app don't actually know if they have deleted it or just suspended it.

Not ignoring your covid check message..just cant reply anymore (unless I upgrade ) I have sent off a message to RHP (took quite some time to find their Customer Support link now ) and waiting to hear back. Given that I've received some nice replies weeks, months or even a year after the original message, I don't think that's going to do anything except encourage men to have to continue to send messages to the same people even more regularly. Encouraging the immediacy factor, or the swipe idea, makes it more like Tinder or the way OkCupid tried to go down, and including myself some regulars left that site, which has since apparently changed a little back. Essentially just making it even more difficult to get a reply, you just give up entirely...

Is doing my head in. I really don't care about success stories, RHP blogs, erotic stories or on the ground videos. I wish there was an opt out button for these. I have always enjoyed the forums and over the years have learnt a huge amount through them. But they have died an almost instant death. Lost a number of messages in the upgrade; about 3 days worth of messages just don't appear in the message history. But what is really doing my head in atm is the typo from the work experience kid.... its spelt "Adult FORUMS" not 'Adult Fourms'. 😨

People used to delete their profiles and all their posts would go with them. I was here the day all the posts from deleted profiles were resurrected! The desktop choice has been removed when logging in via mobile or Tablet. You have to change it to "desktop", once logged in. It is a pain in the Arss to do everytime and when a new tab is opened. Ms Foxy

Looks like the new regime is tightening the screws on guests, if you don’t have a pic you can’t view others pics, time limit on replying, I’m sure more will be revealed. Can’t say I blame them, the pic one is very clever as it gives the females an incentive to pony up too. Gotta love an equal playing field !

On the mobile, the app has no enter button for me and nor does Chrome (Google) until I follow up on Foxy's lead where I use the Google settings to tick the desktop selection. Try that to access desktop. There are no dates on the app as your post implies, only the number of days, months, and um, years since the the post was added. Geez, we don't want to do grammar let alone having to bone up on arithmetic. xo Peachy

Anyway if that's the case I won't be renewing a membership (back to guest now). Generally you send a few messages to likely hopefuls (women are mostly guests) and hope that one of them "eventually" gets back to you. If the "eventually" option is gone, why bother? Because of the various rates of time people take to reply normally, it will also make it very difficult to organise a social via messaging.

It's at the bottom of the message I did receive, that I have 3 days left to reply to. I'm bummed I have messages I had planned to reply to and now, without any warning, I can't. It would have been good to see the 7 days applied to those messages in the change over. My suggestion is to contact the site about how you feel and if they get enough of that sort of response, they might rethink it. I did a bit of testing with a friend who has a paid membership and the 7 day limit came up every time they sent a new message after I replied. I personally think it sucks a bit that if a message is deleted by one, it disappears for both. That could well make it hard to send reports with copies of of what you were sent. Peachy

[Rant] I don't know if they'd listen to feedback after the fact, having just gone through all these structural changes to the site, the idea is to get suggestions *before making changes. Or like the Undercover Boss show, try actually using the site for themselves as if they had no other real life contacts, and try to make a date. In any case I've taken another look at POF, the desktop site seems to have changed, now you can no longer see how recently a profile has been active except for those currently online. So you're not sure how far to go back in the search pages, whether you're messaging someone who hasn't been online for months. And without mentioning changes to other dating sites I've used, it just seems everyone is conspiring to make online dating harder. [/End rant]

I have existing conversations I can no longer reply to. It doubles the income, when both the sender AND receiver of messages essentially have to pay. In a week a premium member will probably be able to send messages to all women in his area likely to respond. A week after they are all sent, you'll have to keep on sending each of them messages every 7 days to give them more time, or just give up, and wait 6 months maybe for a bunch of new members to join. So paying for a membership, is only a benefit for about a week or so. We all know it's hard for women to keep up with reading messages and replying even when they have unlimited time to reply. That you haven't received a reply in 7 days, is hardly an indication of someone not being interested.

All up, I disagree with the time-limit in it's current form regardless of the reasoning for it as well as the fact I can't find anything about it in the help menu which would go a long way to transparency. I can't push the idea more that saying something is better than nothing. The update was promoted for a fair while and we were asked for our suggestions. I sent a few in because of that and received replies that they would be looked at in the upcoming update. I asked for things like getting rid of that fantasy at the bottom of my profile, to be able to choose who contacts me and to be able to set my message page to all instead of matching. I got it all. There was probably more but I can't remember off the top of my head. This is a Beta version and there is no beta time than now if you want to make a difference, haha! I wonder how much difference it will make that we have choices to select who contacts us now. Anyone, Matches what I'm looking for, People you like or favourite, No one. The language is a bit funny though, Anyone says "Anyone that matches what you're looking for"... Anyway, as a message I didn't take the chance to reply to mentioned he didn't match the 99 year old lesbian he was looking for! My biggest concern after the lack of transparency is that I don't see this move supporting the security of staying on the site to exchange messages safely though admittedly I can't see those warnings on my "messenger" page anymore either.

I have to agree, one new member who messaged me has only blurry dick pics on his profile. Who in their right minds would be attracted to that?
