roof top beer garden, cooool idea, I'll have a Corona with a lime wedge, thanks. Although we have a public holiday for Australia Day tomorrow, the 26th January was actually yesterday of course.Personally, I had a lovely day outdoors for a BBQ with friends - it was great catching up with them. What did everyone else do yesterday?

Well, love the new upstairs establishment Ms Foxy, great views, breezy, should be a success. I'll be at the table over there under the umbrella, gin and tonic thanks, surprise me with the gin, better make it a pitcher, who knows how long I'll be here. My dear wife, Mrs. urn., will be along shortly and who knows who will join us for a chat. .. Koko, great photo. .. I can see some distance up here, so why can't I see Any cool weather coming? Somewhat over this summer. Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable non-cohesive multi-grouped states with different laws, regulations, imaginary lines make a ridiculous difference Day yesterday. Hill top vineyard winery Greetings from Gapstead Winery , 20 mins from Beechworth in the great alpine region. We enjoyed a wine tasting followed by a delicious lunch, with views across the vineyards and valley below. Australia truly is a beautiful country.

Can I be a guest brewer from time to time? I'm in the process of getting a small scale full mash brewery made up. I'm a qualified brewer and it's beyond obvious I won't get paid employment as a brewer, so I'll be needing some tasters. A number of people I know both from here and real life - friends and family - who are being significantly impacted by the torrid weather conditions around Australia. In particular, I'm concerned about three in Vic and two in Tassie are dodging fires, and two in Qld dodging floods, or waiting them out. I hope they all are okay still and my thoughts are with them; its hard not to pick up the phone and contact them every 5 minutes. A couple of them have lost mobile contact with us, but from last reports were heading to safe grounds. They are all sensible people who will make sure they are safe, but conditions can change so quickly 😕 Anyone else who is being impacted by these events - stay safe, stay out of floods, don't try to save your house.... just be safe!!

pretty crazy here in Townsville. With no sign of the rain going anywhere, it eases off for awhile then comes back with a vengeance. We're lucky being on higher ground but I am starting to worry a bit about our area, the streets outside are starting to look like rivers. Thousands of homes have been flooded. The dam is at 250% capacity, latest is they are going to have to fully open the floodgates tonight which will release about 2000 cubic metres of water per second. That will impact a lot of houses as well.

I have been watching on the news. I'm blown away at the people who are ignoring all warnings and are well informed NOT to drive through sweeping floodways. Yet, they continue and make a deliberate choice to do it and with family\children in the vehicles. It is unsafe and dangerous! My thoughts go out to all the volunteers, without them people would not be safe. Ms Foxy

I hate that pervasive humidity and dampness that is everywhere now, it's almost a physically oppressive feeling and seems to seep right into your bones. Then when the sun finally comes out we'll have a few days of it being like a sauna on overdrive. Fun.

In between this and calling Head Office with updates, she has her own home to worry about. Mrs Vincent is a shining example of how we can pull together to help others. AWWQ is collecting donations to help those in the worst affected areas. The funds will be used to help the ladies purchase cleaning products, make urgent repairs and access items they need while displaced from their homes."
