so I signed up to do a swim event with a twist a nudist swim...cos I love swimming...I Did the event 2years ago and was absolutely fine with it - it was well organized, relaxed, no stress..perfect... Signed up for it for this year and booked my starting time at a time convenient for me - months ago! pretty much as soon as they announced the date.. I get an email last night from the organizers saying that I have to change the wave I enrolled on as it has now been made a "men's only " and as a female I cannot join in that one..Now..aside from the fact that I wanted to swim in that wave with 2 of my (male ) friends who now have to decide whether they still go ahead or pull out themselves and rejoin me in a wave that is sill co-ed, I was also told that this change of announcing male or female only waves was with the reasoning "We felt that the addition of men and women seperate waves was important to accomodate for participants who may feel more comfortable in a wave that is exclusive to just men or women - one of our biggest goals for the %%%%%%%%is to ensure that everyone who wants to participate has the biggest opportunity to be comfortable, given the nature of the event. " And I cannot help but wonder----what the is going on????? This is a NUDIST SWIM! If someone is not comfortable with the fact that members of the OTHER GENDER might look at them when they are NUDE then why on earth would they want to go for NUDIST SWIM? I get there are female and male only sport events (eg. female triathlons, or female only obstacle courses) they are separate primarly because of difficulty - they are not as difficult as the men's races...I have no issues with that...but this is a nudist swim where now there is male and female only waves to "accommodate those who feel more comfortable in non co-ed environment"....IN A NUDIST event....

Lol. So If i received say 10-11 flirts from same guy at a short period of time, (different flirt messages), same day, does it mean he wants my attention? Lol Is it to ensure that if I did miss his first flirt, I may not proceed forward without acknowledging the succeeding flirts. The number of flirts does make a tough mudder course seem like a walk in the park. Like running thru a gauntlet of mind numbing flirts with no proper response to choose from. On Guard!

Quoting 'lilybethyname' Do they even have time to perve while swimming across the harbour? Lol. When I swim, I just focus on not drowning and dog paddle my way from A to B. I have no time to perve whilst swimming in the harbour! I am focusing on the waves and making sure my breathing is in line with the rhythm I am doing....that is not to say I would not want to finish early so that I can spend some time taking in the view whilst the rest of the swimmers in my wave finish :) And I get the point about being comfortable and some people might prefer this extra amount of reassurance that they are in a same sex group but seriously....this is a nudist swim!...if one is not comfortable with being nude in their own skin -cos that is what matters- then don't go! I just dont get it....:(

Being on the receiving end of mates standing up for each other, it's not always very attractive, particularly when that person has acted like an asshole, has me on the ground bleeding 😂 then the mates come riding in with their spears to finish you off lol very high school and not my thing. I will comment sometimes if it's still on topic (most times, i'm only human) but If everyone had a mind of their own instead of running around like little puppies following the pack, the weak of the litter lol firstly they would do themselves a favour, grow some self respect and self worth, there are some tragic cases in here, people who think so little of themselves, are so unhappy, who use this as a way of trying to make you look bad, so they look better. It doesn't work of course, people aren't stupid, but they think it has. We just have a giggle and move on, so much fun. I love it 😁 Now watch this post vanish 😯

Quoting 'SYDnobarbie' I get an email last night from the organizers saying that I have to change the wave I enrolled on as it has now been made a "men's only " and as a female I cannot join in that one.. oops, I keep forgetting to register... though the first year I did it I didn't even know that the swim was on, since I always take the path down by the oval through the rocks and not the gentle trail. It was only when I was on the sand that I saw the flags and realised what was on. I agree with you, though I do give them credit for creating a "men's only" to go along with a "women's only", though I'm not really a fan of creating the segregated waves at all and all the nonsense that goes with it. Do they also switch marshalling staff to be all one gender for those waves, and do all the on-water safety crew who are the wrong gender get sent away? IIRC you had one wave swimming while the next was waiting 'above' the beach in order to move through quicker - so this further slows that down if you have to wait for everyone from the 'mixed' wave beforehand to clear, then bring down the single sex, wait for that to swim and clear, then bring down the next wave. (It just sucks to have your beach taken over and unable to use it for a day)

So I have to be careful how I word things,as I had a post removed last night, but I have commented when I read someones post attacking another persons personality or life style choice. Someone having a public dig with nothing to with the topic. Yeah I will say something at times. If its said about me, I dont bother replying or acknowledging it, but I will step in for others if its uncalled for. Some people just enjoy ruffling feathers on here and getting attention by saying negative things.

I wont back someone up if I think they are wrong, even if they are a friend. What is the point in that? You are just short changing yourself. My dad told me, Dont be what someone else wants you to be or say what someone else wants you to say. Be true to yourself first. I love my friends but we have some healthy debates. Likewise, here on the forums, there are some extremely healthy debates! Theres no use crying that you are being picked on..... ride above it and move on. If you are looking for an answer to a problem, then yes, ask the forums, But if you are looking for sympathy, you might not get what you expect. Anyway, its Friday evening....pours a chilled SSB

Quoting 'PeachyPearL' I sent a message asking why the Mindfulness thread would have just been deleted when it had only wandered slightly off track with a couple of posts. And those couple of posts could have just been deleted. .The answer in a nutshell (no, I didn't ask if I could share) after a thanks for the message, is that. "If the topic was reported for having gone off topic or containing too many problematic responses, it may have been deleted entirely". .My reply sent a few minutes ago was along the lines of asking for a more specific reply from RHP. Commenting that surely the staff have a look at the thread before just deleting it on someone's whinge. Also, that I would have liked to have been a part of the decision regarding my thread..Giving the OP some control over their thread has been mentioned by RHP in the past. I wouldn't mind the idea of having decisions passed by the OP before completely deleting a thread on a random complaint. My thoughts anyway. Thank you RHP representative, I will take my angst as having been somewhat acknowledged. :-). Quoting 'lilybethyname' Threads should only be.deleted or closed when the OP request it to.the mods. The OP, in theory and by right, own the thread and have right to request some post deletions or closing the.thread when it gets way off topic. I saw that after the deleted posts there was a push to resume discussion on the topic. You have taken away her right and control to see other outcomes she may seek. If a thread or the forum topic.and subsequent discussion offends you, do as most of us do, skip the thread and open up your own discussion. I am not a fan of censorship unless it vilifies a person. In the aforementioned deleted thread, as willow said, you did not even post a single comment on it. So I wonder what was the impetus to your action? Will you request this post to be deleted too? I agree

I would rather call a person out publicly and ask what they mean by that,if they were being rude or a bit annoying, than sneak off to the mods and complain. Who am I to decide they shouldnt write that? I may not like it, but it shows me their agenda on here. I would rather understand why the person is expressing themselves like that, than have it deleted. Ive only ever asked for one post to be deleted and it was mine. Anyway each to their own head trip

-
MsJonesy

Verification means you have held up a piece of paper with a code on it, taken a pic and sent it in. So what? What does that actually verify; that you can write, take a pic and have rudimentary skills in uploading a pic? It doesn't verify anything else, and I don't understand those who use it as one of their main selection criteria. The mods never use that verified pic to check other uploaded pics so it's really a waste of time in my mind. I've never bothered with it, very much doubt I ever will.

You send in a picture of a woman, man or couple etc holding a piece of paper with a number. Verification is done. . It's been a while but I have heard of verified profiles where they get a friend to fill in. So with anything RHP... Buyer Beware. . There are no future checks of pics against that picture as far as I know. . I'm not sure how many uploaded pics are looked over considering the number of famous people we have on RHP. . My funniest experience was seeing the picture of the aboriginal elder on the young, white man's profile. . Again, Buyer Beware. There are heaps of threads on how to make sure you're talking to the person in the pic. Peachy 🍑

I think that was after a thread was deleted and there were some posts saying that the person complaining about the thread hadnt even posted on it, so it was hoped that the op was messaged to see what her thoughts were pertaining to complaining about certain posts on her thread. I thought it was highly likely a mistake. I moved on to what could be done about it, and got over it..I was impressed that when I spoke to RHP, they were entirely considerate of my suggestion that I would have liked to have been asked before my thread was deleted and they did say they would advise me if the new one was reported. .I'd love to see that as a regular feature, it has been offered before, and I bumped up the thread in off-topic for anyone who thinks people should be advised before their thread is deleted, or not. Cheers, Peachy

I'm hiding indoors and only stepping out later in the evening for a good long walk and a grocery / food run. I love cold drinks when it gets hot like that. Yesterday, I prepared myself for today by getting Matcha Latte with Red Bean from Cha Time, plain Soda Water from Coles, made lots of ice cubes, and brewed some lovely T2 teas and chilled them in the fridge. I haven't eaten a morsel today and I often lose my appetite on hot days. Mr Dream Boat sprung a leak and capsized to the bottom of the sea last night / this morning too so I'm feeling kinda blah. However, I do not put up with BS and no matter how much of an eye candy he was and no matter how GIB he was, I have a very low tolerance for BS and mind-fucking game players. Still...

Good news though, more warm weather on the way, 36 Friday/39 Saturday

Quoting 'LoveCurvie' When I was a lad i used to live in a hole in the middle of the road...Perth had its longest run of days over 40 degrees in over 80 years...38 was more like the overnight minimum. The week before last that was the heat wave broke with a balmy 39.2 Degree day if it had cracked the 40 it would have been the longest run on record. This is a vent thread LC.. Spank me.

What a low act. ..and it's probably one of your neighbours as the timing seems impeccable I am so over liars and thieves I used to think oh well perhaps they need it more than me,but not anymore. Maybe you need a large dog to dissuade them xxFreya

Thats what I thought, maybe their need is greater than mine. Although at this time, maybe not! I cant have pets here, although I have a few resident birds who have become quite tame. They have been instrumental in taking care of the smaller mangoes but they are so cute and I love to see them every day. Ah well, next year Ill have to collect them early and ripen them indoors, which apparently, you can do? xx

When a good friend is literally next door to you for a few hours but can't say hello because his stuck up Ice Queen is with him. Frustrating on several levels! Ahhh feel better now

My bum pics with panties on got the same response. Yet Ive seen raging cocks and agape pussies on profile pics. But they are still visible unless you are on the mobile or a guest I was told? Still, I cant see why .............tempted to put some Bridget Jones on and see what happens?

I have several shots of my arse that have never been censored, but perhaps there's just a little too much actual arse in this one given the nature of my undies.. Oh well, I like it. The mobile users and guests will have to survive me being a grey outline until I get bored...
