Intellect versus Arrogance...

I was just reading a post and it had me questioning opinion's on the forums... intellect or arrogance. Do we only recognise those opinions that reasonate with our own as having intellectual property and the rest as the arrogant bellowing of the masses. Always seemed to me that people of real 'intelligence' were open minded, and able to critically analyse others opinions, free of bias and preconception (oh yes, and free of becoming attacking, defensive and villifying) - willing to take accept arguments that challenged their own thinking, break it down, internalise it, and from there, further crystalise their understanding of others, themselves and the world. We can all learn from each other, even if it's just to politely agree to disagree .. if we allow ourselves to.
