Quoting 'sweetgem' Are you suggesting that I have small boobs that go unnoticed? Lol my chest is already heavy enough without the push up bras, it's the people without "sight" that need to change lol but never mind, it is people's rudeness and stupidity to be blunt and that is none of my business really 😜 - Posted from rhpmobile If we look, we're branded leery/lecherous/sexist/misogynistic pigs, and if we don't look we're branded ignorant* (or even gay - especially if you're polite and well-mannered)!! * "...rudeness and stupidity..." amongst Sweetgem's own words.

I don't know what you're talking about! But I'm pretty sure that I didn't say the random addressing of me as a man was coming from a man, or men! So, the joke is yours to own and the assumption is yours to make, not mine! :) - Posted from rhpmobile

I did not specifically address my post to you, or your specific personal situation/experience. Rather, I offered a male perspective on the phenomenon you raised in your post, and purposefully left it open for anyone to consider. ie. As a man, sometimes it seems: If we're caught looking at a woman's breasts, we're bastards. If we don't look at a woman's breasts, we just may be in the shit too... You might consider some people may perceive you have a face which is androgenous in appearance. (Your post suggests that is in evidence). It may be a quite simple and innocent error on the part of others in correctly identifying your gender by a glance at your face alone. You have suggested your hairstyle may have contributed to this. Granted, the people who mistook your gender could have paused, and purposefully looked you up and down before speaking to you (though I suspect you might understandably also find that upsetting, or disconcerting). You're not Robinson Crusoe; their are males mistaken for females on occasion too.

Is unreliable! At least in my experiences anyway! Since September, I have been arranging with a welfare service provider for some respite care services for this week when I'm in Melbourne. Only today, literally an hour before I left my house for the airport, I got informed that the booked worker could not come over tomorrow to look after my parent, simply because she had her days and times mixed up! My head went numb with unbelievable shock and panic! 😰😰 This is why I am so reluctant in using the so called Respite Care Services! They praise on their name so much so well, but can't even deliver anything when I have decided to give them a go! 😖😖🙄🙄 - Posted from rhpmobile

Were you able to reach this person's Departmental Manager and sort it out? I hope you did not have to cancel or delay your trip at such short notice. (It may be worth your while to formally write the Department, enclosing copies of all of your correspondence and diary notes relating to the matter. Doing so will prevent recurrence, and help you recover any costs you have incurred (if any). If you choose to do so, and if you require assistance, I'd be happy to help. I would not need to see any of that paperwork, or peoples' names. I could help you draft something using aliases, then you could copy and paste the correct contact names, dates and locations into the document).

Peachy, I can't reply to your message as when I've tried replying it says "Message can not be sent, no recipients found or inbox locked". Which seems a bit ridiculous. If someone is able to send messages, you should be able to reply to it a few moments later. I remember you saying the PM box was screwed and they were looking at it, they still haven't fixed it as of 3:30am Sydney time, I tried to send again with same results. Anyway, I think you must be confused about my thoughts on the matter.

I'm sure you can all relate....lol How many online forum group members does it take to change a light bulb? 1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed. 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently. 7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs. 27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs. 53 to flame the spell checkers. 41 to correct spelling/grammar flames. 6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb"...another 6 to condemn those 6 as anal-retentive 2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp". 15 know-it-alls who claim *they* were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct. 156 to email the participant's ISPs complaining that they are in violation of their "acceptable use policy". 109 to post that this group is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb group 203 to demand that cross posting to hardware forum, off-topic forum, and lightbulb group about changing light bulbs be stopped. 111 to defend the posting to this group saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts *are* relevant to this group. 306 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique, and what brands are faulty. 27 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs. 14 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's. 3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group. 33 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too". 12 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy. 19 to quote the "Me too's" to say "Me three". 4 to suggest that posters request the light bulb FAQ. 44 to ask what is a "FAQ". 4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?" 143 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs". 1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.... Moderators to delete posts. Ms Foxy

I didn't say bullying, it didn't get to that, quite, but it was rolling in that direction. What I said was a tangent, meaning a momentum. It was overly harsh when she said nothing offensive to any forum people to provoke that, but also didn't dismiss comments. Fair enough that people may not have agreed but no need to open fire. And summer's baggage comment? Thoughts on that? 😉 Different entirely with the other thread, the op has ignorantly ignored opinions, and rolled along with his own stubborn view, people tend to switch off, I just left the thread, haven't been back, no point. He doesn't want to hear other opinions, has his and that's it. Enter the dragon 😎

Quoting 'SuperFoxxxy' 1 person that started reading the post, but then scrolled past because it was too long to read. 😂 Ms Foxy The person you identify in this quote (TLDR/scrolling) will have been the "...1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again...." If you believe there was any worthwhile point at all in originally posting the mythical 'Lightbulb/Light Bulb/Lamp' thread, you might consider the first 22 posts fair enough. Beyond that, unless someone 'brings to light' (pun intended) new information for consideration, the other 1332 posts are largely redundant. Many threads simply become echo chambers, chambers, chambers, chambers, chambers...

I have two days to finish shopping, wrap all pressies, attend two Xmas celebrations, laundry and packing the care for a 1400km road trip with two kids! Still have to load their devices with movies and games, make food and fill out a 50 page form. Currently enjoying a coffee and the birds on the back deck. I'm sure if we forget something, we can get it at some point. But bonus (if we make it) I might get to see LD again! If anyone is travelling over the break, please stay safe xx

Ahhh the family road trips. Brings so many memories, good and not so good. Great thing about technology, you can keep them busy for 2-3 hours at a time to break up the monotony of the trip. for the kids anyway. I'm staying in the city as still busy with work. My kids are also working in their part time jobs so mom taxi is in demand. Better and cheaper than Uber, apparently, my kids say. 😔 Enjoy your trip and safe journey back.

...at the moment. It's good to have the whole, small family together at least once a year and the weather is warm but breezy this week. I'm taking my 10yo nephew fishing tomorrow afternoon down the beach, which he's been looking forward to for some time. He spends most of the year in Beijing, so fishing is quite a novelty for him. Christmas lunch will be a cold affair with baked ham, prawns, salads, some sort of fried chilli fish and so on. I need to make some chickpea koftas too as my 17yo neice is vegetarian now. They're both well-adjusted kids, intelligent kids and i enjoy their company...their parents have done a good job. Better get busy and re-rig my fishing gear. It hasn't been used since last year I took him fishing..

Or place in "venting"... But I want to know opinions from (other) people who use phone only dating apps like Tinder or Bumble. What is the main reason for people not communicating/responding to any messages sent to "matches". Do people treat a match/right swipe as just a Facebook style "like" of photos but not necessarily interested in chatting, or do you (esp women) have too many "matches" that you can't possibly talk to all of them? (If so shouldn't people stop matching for a while?) I occasionally have a match (that isn't a scammer - but they at least DO message), but there is never any response or (with Bumble) initial message. I'm just curious, or perhaps completely naive... - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Missb4u' I use tinder. I find the great majority of men don't chat at all. If I match I send a message. No reply I unmatch myself The problem is (or benefit, depending on who you are) with these apps is that people search on proximity. I'm in Melbourne often enough to get occasional matches, but I don't get responses. Outside of Melbourne, matches are next to nil (with real profiles). I'm also generous, I give matches quite a while to respond... a few weeks normally. Then I'll send another "reminder" message, to see if there's interest in chatting. Sometimes they will then unmatch me (damn those guys pestering for conversation!). ;) Or, as I actually have written information, they unmatch quickly after matching, where I assume they didn't read it in the first place. So it seems there's many complaints that women don't talk, and that men don't talk. So where do the stories of real people meeting and dating come from?

I have a friend who is now dating a man whom she met on Tinder :) so for me, I get the story of real people meeting and dating via Tinder from my friend's experience 😊 In my opinion, and speaking from personal experiences, online dating does work in real life. But it does take a very long time for one to find their compatible match and it also involves fate in the work. To me, everything that happens in life is all about timing and fate. These two elements go hand in hand and without either one, things do still happen, but won't last for long or forever. - Posted from rhpmobile
