I'm sure your wise lady would be smiling at the scene of her daughter and grandchildren doing the Christmas decoration, from Heaven :) hope you're having a great weekend too :) I don't think the wound of having lost a parent can be healed, though we do get better at handling the grief as time moves on! Been there done that with one parent! That's true. We get what we put out there first. Hence, my comment earlier about being kind and respectful to each other :) and that didn't exclude that OP from her incident :) I, too, was unable to walk away easily from anger, or frustration, or wanting to react in the moment of heat, etc. before my life took a grand turn. But now, nothing matters that much anymore :) So, seeing such impulsive reactions nowadays makes me realise how silly I was in the past 😛 hopefully the OP of that topic learns to take a step back and breathe, in situations, in the future :) - Posted from rhpmobile

Where the heck did that Topic go? We've noticed people lamenting the disappearance of certain posts and to avoid misinformation and bizarre conspiracy theories, this is how it is: If a topic starts to attract negative posts (reported to us or otherwise), we will do our best to remove the posts in question rather than kill the entire topic but if things get out of hand, we will either lock the topic or simply remove the thread if it is relatively new and has not had a huge response. The original poster is welcome to restart the topic if they so wish but may want to include a note to encourage posters to stick to the topic or play nice.

The forum topic, from what I read, had replies were quite mild although in disagreement with her views. nothing new. Just another shit tantrum fr another poster who can't take different opinions from theirs and go running to the mods to complain and delete the topic. Too many of that going on here, some being too precious and controlling of other people's opinions. Boring as bat shit. :-P Again, it is a public forum and expect varying opinions from the Rhp hoi polloi. we can be a hard lot at times. 😁 it may be the case that there is something else going on in the OP's life that such minuscule negativity is blown out of proportion. I Hope the break from Rhp will serve her well and she can come back and start afresh. all will be just fine. Most people forget and move on as they have real things better to do in their real lives. What I'm saying is that these forums are sometimes good for teaching people some harsh lessons about Life...lessons they may not receive from their sewing circle of friends. Friends can be shit people to ask for an independent point of view...and strangers on the other side of a computer screen will be far more honest. It was an entertaining thread, and I was just able to read it all before it was deleted. Actually, I was going to comment that I've never "liked" so many comments in one thread before. My rhp subscriptions' earned its keep for this month.. 😊

If the OP of a thread where they're the ones receiving criticism, has a tanty and requests deletion, well, my thoughts on that are clear. If it was someone else, I think they're a despicable person and it is MUCH worse than if the OP requested deletion. Peachy, maybe you can put up a colour coded table so we can all know the accepted allowance of dissenting posts before someone needs to run to the mod squad, 20, 30? (obviously 50 was just beyond the pale). Is it a ratio against other posts in the thread? Or just on a "vibe of the thing"?

Took Redhot666 for an interview in the CBD today, up on the 27th floor of a building overlooking Darling Harbour. Showed her where the M&G was held, as well as the great views around the western side of the harbour. Then went for a walk up to Circular Quay, and had a great view of the large ship in at the terminal , that new Ovation of the Seas. What an enormous ship ! She also had a grand view of the Harbour Bridge, and afterwards we went for a walk around the Opera House. She had more fun having a look around our grand ol' town than a kid in a candy store. Still got a grin bigger than the Cheshire Cat on her face. Hope everyone also has a great weekend ahead. Tall

So this is a bonus trip! 😀 As for the weather, according to my weather app, the weather in Melbourne is quite warm at the moment. ...I don't have much time or sympathy for people who feel they are owed something. When i go through the checkout with my shopping i don't expect that they pack my bags too because "that's their job" and "that's what their payed for." How would i know that...how would i know what they are and aren't payed to do? If they do pack for me, well that's nice of them but I'm happy to assist as I'm a healthy man with 2 hands. If I'm dissatisfied with customer service, wether it be a supermarket, a restaurant or whatever...i show my displeasure by not returning. Not by making a snippy comment. I have no idea what is going on in a persons life...work is just a necessary part of it. But that's just me. And an internet forum is just as valid a place to be taught a bit about yourself as anywhere else. Lots of people don't recognise their own shortcomings. Myself included.

I haven't seen it yet but I've been reading the reviews...and this is absolute nitpicking of me...but I read that, because it was such an action packed film, it created a bit of dis-continuity with A New Hope.That Vader is so full-on warrior in Rogue One that his demeanour in Episode 4 now seems tame...out of character...considering it only takes place a day or so later. Just what I've read...and even the critics admit this is nitpicking!Opinions, people who've seen it..?

A major shopping centre to start my Xmas shopping, dreading the crowds and stressed staff. I'm usually done by December! But despite the screaming children and aisles packed with trolleys you couldn't get through, what made me smile was the retail workers. I went to three smaller stores and to Kmart and Coles. Despite people growling at them and clearly panicking, every one that served me and others nearby was chatty and smiling. I walked out of every store with a big smile on my face and a memory of each one. I will be contacting each store and providing the names of these workers who despite being under severe stress and overstimulation are pushing through. I hope anyone working in retail over the next two weeks (Boxing Day sales anyone?) knows that your hard work is appreciated. 😀 - Posted from rhpmobile

IIRC you went with one aspect, that "customer service levels are declining", and some of us found the other aspect more comment worthy, sometimes the problem isn't the service, it's the customer who has inappropriate expectations. If multiple people have a similar viewpoint regarding a topic, is only one person allowed to post it? e.g. Are you jumping on the "anti 69" bandwagon in the Oral thread, or are you just stating your view, and it happens to be similar to others? I won't for a second say that I don't also see people jumping on the bandwagon in various threads, and I roll my eyes at it. But, how can you tell what is what? Is Precious' post quoting you just her expressing the same opinion/agreement, or is it some craven lackey piling on with a "me too" from behind your coattails? How about talking about a thread that is still around.... Masculine's life jacket thread. Isn't that also arguably a bunch of you all piling on his post unfairly? I notice you were critical of him in there, did you only treat him so poorly because you felt the safety of the other people who were also similarly negative towards him? Were you acting along with the mob (or clique)? Was it disgusting the way that was done? yup, *fingers in ears* no more Rogue One spoilers please, give it a while :) I do like the poster artwork though, and I'm just thankful the series seems to be getting better. Just a shame they can't go back and completely remake the craptacular prequels into something worthy of association with the originals.

If you're doing it yourself or people you like are doing it, it's called 'speaking your mind / saying it how it is / not sugar coating things / having an opinion'. If people you don't like are doing it, it's called 'bullying / piling on / disgusting clique behaviour' ;-)

Your response to good customer service is sweet. Not many go out of their way to give that feedback after they've left a store!And as for customer service jobs...I am thankful this is my first Christmas in over 11yrs NOT working in customer service, and my first Christmes off work in about 6yrs! Wohoo!!

Am sorry to hear about your sick child. My thoughts are with you. As a parent, this is a stressful time for you. Please take care of yourselves and eat well n sleep/rest when you can as your children needs you, but also you need each other to get through this I hope all goes well before Xmas and your child would be strong enough to go home and spend your Xmas together. You will be included in my prayers tonight. Warm thoughts. Xox

I am still mistaken as a man on daily basis! 😖😖 Everyday, I would have at least one random person called me "Sir or Mr" simply because of my short haircut! 🙄🙄 then they would look and see that I am actually a woman! Wow! First one in six years? See that's why I appreciate it when they are genuinely interested in engaging and I get good service. Because it's not like the days when I was a teenager where you had Thursday night late night shopping and then Saturday all day. Not other late nights or Sundays, or public holidays even for groceries and chemists. We expect that things will be abailable to buy whenever the urge strikes us. And everyone goes into a panic if Target is closed for a whole day......whatever will they do??? I hope you have an amazing Christmas Day with people who love you xx

I don't know if that was meant as some sort of e-pissing contest, but I haven't requested any deletions ever, that's over 10 years here. And yours won't be the first. If I don't want to participate in a conversation I just hitch up my big boy pants and walk on out of it, I don't tell others they can't talk about it. Anyway, requesting post deletions is the action most likely to trigger a thread deletion, so I'd argue that'd be your own action encouraging the thread to be deleted. The steam thread wasn't closed simply because people were talking about a deleted thread, it was because they'd already had to gut the thread because y'all were just going back and forth at each other with nasty/petty comments - the naughty list is still left there in the thread. As far as I can see ITM and I are having a civilised conversation. Her posts are all approved, so that suggests the powers that be think our choice of topic to discuss is OK for a thread where it is "impossible to go off topic" according to the OP. So why would this thread get deleted because of that? The thread is in more danger of getting locked/deleted from people being petty and saying nasty or threatening things to each other than merely discussing an old thread

I am sure it's when people ask for comments to be deleted that alerts the moderators that there is a potential issue or conflict. Don't you think? So it would be that persons actions. Not a few pointless comments which are not rude. Or perhaps comments like mine which have to go thru an approval process which alerts the dark side.
