I personally feel "with all due respect" is much more polite/respectful terninology. It is all a matter of ones own opinion tho. 😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

Slow day at home 😄😜 Not sure who you referring to wrt to victim mentality but I have seen you support some of your 'friends' displaying such behaviour. So what does that mean? PCKB. Maybe stop the passive aggressive attacks to this particular person. It's getting tiring. 😎

I've always used that term when I've wandered off a particular topic of conversation and gone off on a tangent. The dictionary defines it as: 'to deviate or wander away from the main topic or purpose in speaking or writing; depart from the principal line of argument, plot, study, etc.' Inspirit, agree that 'with all due respect' means you are going to politely disagree with someone. However, I know that when I use it, I really mean 'I'm gunna be a cunt, so suck it up' 😁

It sounds like your post had a target judging by your last post as far as context goes, thus a 'victim' so to speak. Other than that, I can only speak for myself that I don't view the sight of "I digress" it the same as you and I certainly don't read sheeples in it. Peachy

We all have those that we use that another sees in a different light. The one I use a lot and try to pull myself up on is actually as I know this word over used pisses people off. I don't think anybody is having a dig just our own little pet peeves. And I know I will keep bugging someone each time I post. Shit I see many things I want to respond to but why bother it is only words.

Words and opinions seems to be getting referenced in posts. I would like to be clear about something. Someone meddled into something that was none of their business and because of that the ramifications caused gossip and people becoming wary of me. It was nothing to do with words or opinions it was to to with someones behaviours and believing they had the right to do what they did.

I've been here long enough to know already that I will be judged by my current behaviour by the majority. and I just happen to be the person who will talk to you straight out instead of behind your back. But I'll be reporting the following of me from thread to thread referencing my posts in future. It's not something I want to get involved in with anyone, with due respect to us all. I'll have a look in a minute to see who it was in particular that told me the Mystery mineral in my found piece of quartz is mica. The part of what he said that struck me in particular... Quoting 'Doubleup282'Sounds like a mica crystal and I think you’re right, it came to you when you needed it. The layers in Mica represent the co-existing layers of consciousness and self and it’s shiny surface represent a mirror to allow us to see our flaws in others. A great crystal for healing and self discovery! .There you go, copy and paste of Mr D's quote, thank you. I can see now how other people saw me in the forum at times. I wonder if it was because the lessons I had were so reliably negative that I learned how I didn't want to be. Amazing to see those words under the circumstances. Peachy

MsJonesy, I do feel for you! Not literally though, figuratively! Touch, that sounds like my sort of day if I have any choice in it. Similar here... good news for my young ones and I couldn't be happier! Hm, and to the above post, being the way I am I feel like I can relate to how other people might be feeling 'sometimes'. Some people, I just don't get.

Quoting 'I_touch_myself2' flowers bloom in the cooler weather peachy. Gotta watch those roses, the thorns ouch 😉 Don't talk to me about roses. I got a rose for my birthday last year, (haha nearly killed it in the heat in January), but the bloody thing is literally covered in thorns! It's lucky those blooms smell glorious. And they thought we might like to keep it next to one of the entries! Ah, no. All is good and I'm loving the rest from the heat outside. Peachy, loves her garden of roses...

Not at all and again I stress it was a term I have seen recently in the forums. To be brutually honest here and not digress bit rather with all due respect.... may I suggest you stop being so paranoid and over thinking I literally have NO idea about any shit canning going on in here NOR do I want too. Its none of my business anyway. I have been busy with my mum and her chemo along with all the other palliative needs, to assist my mother in my home, therefore I have my own struggles going on in life.. I have swapped messages with you recently and did not dismiss you for being paranoid. I recognised your concern, and in my effort to understand how we got to where we were after more posts exchanged, worked out that the first misunderstanding had come from what you took out of what I had said. Misunderstandings are easy to solve when we make a bit of effort. Peachy

There is just no easy way to say anything anymore, with out being nit picked at for my generalised comments. Same thing happened before. Im not going in for a third round. Ill leave that up to you ladies. Please do not respond to my my posts thinking I am targeting you or anyone else. Ive made myself quite clear tonight. Be Well. - Posted from rhpmobile

Is a gift, don’t take it for granted! Within two months of 2017 and 2018 (December - February), this is what has been happening around me: - Two people I know personally and have great respect for, are battling cancers! - Four people I knew personally had passed away (yep, there was another one after my former post about funerals) and I just attended another funeral yesterday (as now is after midnight)! Now I am handling losses like that fine, much better than last year actually, because I have learned to accept that death is not always a bad thing to have happened. Instead, it can be a blessing for some people in certain circumstances, as it means that the deceased would be suffering no more of whatever they were suffering from before their times were done. It can be a blessing for the living ones too, as it would mean that they can move on with their life. So, with this understanding and acceptance, I am now able to handle grief better as well as looking at things differently, and be kinder to my emotions 😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

gaslighting. Manipulating by way of planting the initial seed, selectively removing responding comments, then planting negative opinions about the person being gaslit 😉 who of course is then accused of being the gaslighter, then comes deflection, denial, and finally playing the victim and popping that halo on 👎 Confusing isn't it, by design, not by accident. Anyone who knows me knows I don't operate like that, I don't cart baggage around, I'm a happy well adjusted person loving life, simply wouldn't have the time nor the inclination to invest time in such childish behavior. If you have unsettled business, discuss it with me like a grown up and leave my responses in print. I will NOT cower to you, no matter how much you insist on continuing this

I digress To deviate from the original topic of conversation, to go off topic. Typically one says this phrase when they realized they have gone off topic and decide to return to the original point. Another definition is to return to an original point.Man1: Yes yes I know I'm a slacker and an asshole, but I digress. We need to come up with a plan now. (bad example sorry) George was doing so well with getting his grades up but he's digressed into that bad behavior of drinking and partying all night and not doing any work.#off-topic#deviate#ramble#stick to the point#returnby cloudsgrl October 27, 2010 Urban dictionary

Seriousness indeed Kool. Also, too many posts which allude to scurrilous behaviour, deleted posts, gaslighting, personal affronts, sneaky backhanders and every other dubious move known to online platforms. Too many posts which do.not.make.sense to the rest of us. I've been here for over 5 years, and I have certainly seen it before but probably not such a sustained campaign by so many. Yes I can stop reading them, but they seem to be on every second forum, so they are becoming difficult to avoid. Why dont you create a new thread call "Abuse the shit out of each other" and get it all off your chest in there. Hmm...I shall start one now for you. You're welcome. 😁

But have low (AKA no) hopes of it being approved. Here are the rules...for a bit of shit & giggles. Rules: - Any crack at another person must be be backed by evidence. Cold hard evidence such as direct quotes of their posts, including the forum title, for verification purposes. - NO attacks on the person. Only on their online public posts (in other words, no quoting of personal messages). I don't care if you think someone is a prat, it's their posting which is the issue. - Be current. In other words a quote dated from 4th July 1889 is not allowed. The date is not a typo. I believe some forumites would indeed go back that far to find evidence 🤣 - You must be able to take as good as you get. - Obtuse posts will be instantly shamed. Indulge me, I have a love of clear, direct and unambiguous language. - Right of reply is allowed - but ONE POST ONLY. Make it count folks! No back & fowards like a Federer tennis match. My tolerance level is low. - And remember the RHP rule "Do not post anything that defames or villifies". More rules can and will be posted purely at my own whim. Suck it up and deal with that (an example of clear, direct and unambiguous language 😜).

the term suck it up.I will not suck up anyone else's shit when they fling it at me.I have had enough lived experiences to know most times that term is full of shit. Nice rules there. But I hope that when it comes to the crunch, you will call out people from your own tight clique who may have flouted those rules as well. It has to work both ways, eh? Old forumite or new forumite, no one owns this public fora although several act like queens in here. I've called out about pack attacks before and it's really apparent sometimes - piss off just one in the group and before you know it, the private network / support group gets notified privately and the usual suspects end up banding together. Predictable. Same ol' same ol'. Because I'm unpopular due to my controversial thoughhe and decision to stand alone, attacks on me are usually nullified, including harrassing behaviour and downright bullying of the petty playground sort. *rolls eyes. But if someone in your clique gets their feathers ruffled, you can be sure things will be turned upside down because the entire tribe in full force will be there. I'm not new to forums but in terms of bad culture, there's some massive cleaning up to do in this fora. Your rules sound lovely; just don't make it a one-sided affair. To your credit, you do play fair and you are often level-headed. If it was someone else bringing this up, I wouldn't even engage. I just feel you can be fair because when others went for my jugular in the past, you remained rational and sensible, and I appreciate that.

Quoting 'Koolgrey' That stung! Nah...just kidding. It didn't. At all. 🙄 There's far to much seriousness around here at times, for a website that's all about fun and having a good time. I dont pay my $18/month just to reassure peoples ego's and to have mine stroked in return. I have Facebook for that...and it's free. I hear the word 'fun' tossed around a lot but I don't see the fun on the last couple of pages pretty much. Just more people wanting things their own way. Deriding other people instead of seeking any understanding about where they are coming from. I can't say that's my idea of fun. Then there's your suggestion of Winding people up who may well not be able to cope with it, which is not my idea of fun. Poking sleeping bears is not going to engender fun. And the forum is free, there is plenty of ego stroking, it's a shame that clarifying something someone said is looked at as such a sin. It's supposed to be an adult forum but with all the grudge holders and the know better than yous, it's not a lot of fun a lot of the time. Mainly it reminds me of the world where people live with their heads in the sand as long as nothing bothers them. The let's not get involved people. I'm not one of those people and I'm okay with that until I come here and read how differently I should be behaving. Meander, I think my actions should be plain to you that I got over any issue we might have had the last week or so. It was plain to me that you had accepted that and we'd moved on. I took your post that I liked further back as taking the piss out of yourself, because I know you say 'just saying' a lot. I sought to understand that because I felt I knew you well enough and without our previous acrimony, I was happy to accept that. But I do feel put on the spot with your post though I'm sure you didn't mean it that way. Just saying... Posititvity is not the be all and end all, we are made up of many different parts and negativity is part of that. Not that I think many, if any, will read what I have said because I'm all the things I've been reading about myself these last many years in other people's minds. Rather than being an imperfect human being, the same as the rest of you.

Its been a little confusing lately. Yes, I realise this is the Anything Goes thread and everyone has the right to post whatever. I am empathetic and have compassion to those I know and love. I can appreciate a one or two off tale of how hard you life is right now...at some stage in our lives, nearly everyone will suffer the loss of a loved one 2 or 4 legged, watching them fight their last battle. At some stage most of us will have and injury, surgery, illness, mental issues, abuse problems, ...hardship. I get it. Its cathartic to get it off your chest....try to remember many who read the forums are total strangers to you and most of them just dont care you are Just Here For The Forums. Reading it time after time on thread after thread is depressing. I dont come here for depressing, I doubt many folk do. This aint Facebook.
