However stating that this dynamic doesn't go away i cannot agree with, as we age and we develop sexually and psychologically we "grow out of this", this is where biological evolution comes in. As i mentioned in a previous post about finding younger women more physically attractive, this is because of an evolutionary biological "imprint". Men have evolved to be attracted to women with a high child-bearing potential and who are perceived as more fertile and therefore younger women.With the "girls with the daddy kink" comment can also be related to both evolutionary changes and psychosexual development. Freud also mentioned that during the phallic stage of development young girls also learn the sexual differences, known lesser as the Electra complex. This is where girls develop penis envy (ever see a girl playing with a pole etc as if it were her penis?), and to put it simply this is pretty much the opposite for girls as it is with boys in the fact that they see the power with their father and their mother to be the threat. From an evolutionary point of view; younger women are more attracted to older men due to their status,education, financial security. Essentially older men have proved themselves to be a suitable and secure option for having a child with, thus the attraction.Now saying all that, Freud has been widely criticized and for just reason as he was overly obsessed with human sexuality and inflexibility for his theories (he said that a young boy was scared of a horse because it reminded him of his father's penis and thus made him inferior). I am not saying that if men like older women or if older women like younger men that they are wrong in what they think, i'm merely stating the scientific facts. We all have our own "kinks", with some of them being from an evolutionary reason and others due to a combination of personality, psychosexual development, and overall frame of mind. I cannot say why people are attracted to other people or that their attraction is wrong (my main worry and objection is the psychology/attraction behind pedophilia, rape etc) or wrong for not following an evolutionary trend, but in the end that's all it is, a trend.

For me, on older woman can be very attractive, but I think a lot of it is the fact that it can be somewhat of a taboo that society has put into our thinking. For me, breaking such taboos heightens the sense of arousal, makes me much more interested in the person. My job takes me into many peoples homes to do trade based work, and one of my biggest fantasies is to have a woman in the 60-70 y/o bracket come onto me and ask me to give them what their hubby cant give them anymore.

I did expect my post to be provocative, not intentionally yet i did assume that it may come across that way. I mentioned what i did about Freud due to the fact that i felt the need to (in the least confrontational/arrogant/most sincere way) inform of certain psychological behaviours and thus also evolutionary trends. I agree with what you say about Freud, and yes Jung was an renowned and excellent psychologist and indeed was one of the many to criticize Freud. Being present day i also agree with the fact that Freuds' theories are mostly irrelevant and outdated, yet the stages of psychosexual development I believe are quite an observation and have stood the test of time (maybe not to the exact timelines and detail as Freud stated, but nevertheless still observed).Personally i do not believe in fate or divine intervention or anything particularly of that nature, however i respect your beliefs of it and will not criticize for amusement but just inform you that mine are different and i disagree but accept yours.As for paedophilia and rape, i would preferably not like to get into it as there are so many points to argue psychologically and i don't think that would do well for anyone, especially in a public forum.I guess to sum up what I'm saying in general is that i can look at psychological and biological and evolutionary trends and facts to come to a conclusion as to why things are considered the norm (and we can't say that men being attracted to older women is a social norm, as if it was, this thread would not exist. It generates interest and discussion among this diverse community). I have also explained my personal point of view and reasoning behind such in an earlier post, with this conversation and private messages I have received as a result of such are perfect examples to solidify my original statement. I feel that there is no right or wrong answer to the original question of "why guys like older women?" (essentially), it is each to their own and rightfully so. Im proud to be who I am I've experienced a lot over my 41 years of life and I think you need to love who you are first body , mind and soul if you point out all the things you dislike about yourself then so will everyone else I know I feel sexy and have been told that i have a sexiness about me plenty of times I think younger guys go for older women for their experience , less hang ups , better attitude, more confidence and understanding if the guy doesn't last more than a couple of minutes it happens even with older guys maybe it's because it's a big turn on for a guy if I'm confident and get lost very easily in the moment and no I'm not trying to blow my own trumpet that a guy doesn't last it's just a fact that obviously if you radiate confidence and are comfortable in your own skin It then means the guy is more relaxed and gets lost in the moment as well So crack up if your not happy with who you are on the outside do something about it I was where you are at Christmas time last year but I was also 18 kgs heavier my husband stopped showing me affection so I thought its time to change it so I started losing weight hubby stil didn't want anything to do with me so I lost more weight and then found out a 30 year old was giving him all the attention he needed we broke up in June then I joined rhp I'm 18 kg lighter I go to gym atleast 4 times a week I now have a really good job that I love I have earnt respect at work I've met a few great guys from here and also the gym having lots of fun with new found friends so I'm making the most of it up until a couple of monthes ago I was in a very dark place also contemplated ending it all a few times but a few guys on here were there for me in my time of need and I respect them for it as now I have them to thank for the turn around of my life So to cut a long story short you are who you are if you don't like what life's handed you do something about it and don't point out all the negatives only focus on the positives love yourself so others can too

This is not rocket science and the answer is easy My friends and I at age 20 to 30 picked older women more so when we did not want to be involved also it was easy to get them to bedroom and this has not changed as I have friends who are 20 to 30... On the up side sex on the beach and so on was good older women wanted the adventure and I have also found some guys 45 to 50 going after 60 to 70. No idea if its the same deal but ya never know....

I know exactly what is meant,,it is all in the attitude, I have met some older women that i have found very attractive because of their mindset towards life, not so hung up on little things ,more comfortable with their body and are much more enthusiastic and experienced lovers.In my experience younger women are less enthusiastic, perhaps small hang ups about their body and less self aware,less confidence(or maybe ive just met all the wrong women lol).Attitude is the thing that gets you mentally attracted,which makes the physical much more appealing,I've met some stunning looking younger women but they really lacked mental appeal in conversation and that attitude that gets your blood pumping.

The ladies seem to think I have this huge personal 'hate' thing gong on.. but the question herein posed was nothing about that.. but rather, what guys honestly thought of the 'older woman'. My opinion on why we are so fantastic... We are over the bs and game playing, it's lay me now or don't. We are comfortable with our sexy, and own it now. We know what we want from a partner sexwise. Hi Crack up, I didn't get to read all the comments but did read a couple of pages. I thought some people were being a bit harsh on you. I don't think its in our genetic make up to feel bad about ourselves but unfortunately we are not all born with fantastic role models for self esteem, with strong characters to teach us how to deal with the challenges of life and once you have learned to dislike yourself it is incredibly hard to change it. Good luck and I totally agree with Ms Velvet we have to try to be grateful that we have a body at all , and that we are alive to enjoy it.Who ever wrote making other people happy and feel good about themselves is the most attractive trait you can have is spot on. Although, if you placed credence in all that is thrown at you in the forums, you would believe otherwise. I get it ALL THE TIME. I have younger men after me from their 20s, 30s, and upwards. On the subject of younger men being attractive to older women, from my perspective, the attraction I have to all women - older or young is the sensuality you see in their eyes that burns into your soul. Yes, beauty plays a major part in the laws of attach, but if beauty was the only factor we men sort, most of us would pay for our female company and have “sex” and leave, not having to hold them or look them in the eyes afterwards. Not so, speaking for myself, I want more and found when I was younger, older women had the life’s experience (and I am talking about sleeping around) that this experience felt sensual. Case in point, just look at the attraction female film stars have due many to knowing how to radiate sensuality.....Paul

I had a conversation with a 30 year old man on another site.He told me he loved mature women because his mother was very naughty.I asked him in what way,he said that she was always naked in front of him and would also masturbate.He said this didn't worry him but it had meant that he was only attracted to ,his word ''mums'. If this is true I do wonder how many other young men have been the victims of what amounts to sexual abuse from an older woman.If this has been your experience please seek some counselling and support.

i've see profiles here and other sites of women who state they are cougars and yet only 30 years old? wth? so heads up ladies, if you r still in your 30's u ain't a cougar!!
