Uzumaki. Totally weird Japanese shit! 🤣😛 There's an obsession with spirals and it just gets weirder and weirder. It's as twisted and perverse as Japanese porn! 😜

There seems to be a trend for movies/series where the dead return to life, non-zombified. I recall the French drama series, The Returned (Les Retourner, pronounced "Lay hor-too-ur-nay 😁) Being really popular. I heard the Americans then had their own version. And the Aussies too, with Glitch. I'm watching Series 1 and its pretty good! 👍

Quoting 'SeekingAdventure'Can anyone recommend something offbeat and little known. Horror related of course... - Posted from rhpmobile I found that one interesting and pretty creepy.

I really enjoyed Banshee. Not sure of what you mean by the offbeat thing and unfortunately those lesser known series are on my broken hard drive. Hard to find something these days that is little known but I go searching for series by nation and that comes up with some great stuff. A few I found on my computer though probably not lesser known were enjoyable. Something a bit different 'Olive Kitteridge' Loved the ' Carnivale' series have to revisit it 'Blackpool was wonderful if you don't mind a play on musicals And just plain amusing 'Backstrom' 'Moonboy' and 'Yonderland'

It's no horror...but if you appreciate brutal films with a bit of history and mythology thrown in, it's got that. Starring Mads Mikkelsen as a Viking warrior, probably left behind in Scotland after a raid....now a fighting slave who barely seems to hold onto his humanity.Short on words and quite brutal.

I'm not in the habit of recommending books or films or tv shows to people because everybody's taste is unique, but for sheer creativity, there is a film starring Vincent Price called "Theatre Of Blood" It is both brutal and camp! A Shakespearean actor who's career is ruined by an arrogant circle of newspaper critics decides to take his revenge using murders from Shakespeare's plays!

I know there's a tv show called Banshee. I was referring to a movie called Banshee Chapter / The Banshee Chapter.

🤣 Watching Antisocial now. I've watched it before but after a long time, re-watching movies can be like watching it for the first time. So, I thought I'd compile a list of horror movies that has some form of social media involvement: - Antisocial - Cyberbully (haven't watched this yet.) - Ring0 - Trust - Unfriended Is Resident Evil counted - there's the Red Queen mainframe computer. 😛 I'd like to check out The Den and #horror. Haven't seen them in JB Hi-Fi yet.

Now that is a list I can relate to. One of my favs. mentioned and magnificently beautiful is how I would describe it but I'd leave out the horror and maybe switch it to twisted and kind of disturbed Hope you have watched the original Let the Right One In not the yank/Brit remake

Is my only channel to watch movies, but many movies aren’t available to watch for free. So, I have been watching a lot of Asian horror movies and some very aged vampire/werewolf/zombie movies, which of course aren’t as exciting given the level of technology available at the time those films were produced. I’ll patiently wait for my time of having Netflix to come 😜 - Posted from rhpmobile

We watched "Get Out". Not so much gory, a little bit possible, and fascinating to watch the mystery unwind. A little bit predictable but not with any certainty, lol. Antone heading home to meet the girlfriend's parents in the deep woods soon? Peachy

Watched this UK horror movie last night. I notice a trend towards the theme of witches and performing rituals recently. I'm sure this will precede a growing interest in Wicca and the practice of witchcraft, casting spells, etc, esp amongst the influential young. We live in dark times. This movie provides an insight into rituals and how dangerous it can get. It also shows how a misplaced, complete trust in a "master" with less than noble intentions can do to the more gullible females. Emotional abuse creeps in too, in the name of doing things to make the ritual work. 😒 The movie depicts the scenarios very well. Scares are sparse in the beginning but towards the end, it does get really frightening. Sadly, the ending could've horrific, making it a memorable horror movie, but I found the ending to be really lame. Tell me what you think after watching it. 😉

Finally got to see it today, with a cinema full of young kids whose screams scared me instead of the movie 😄 This episode is better than the previous few, to me anyway, as there is a storyline to see 😊 but I’ll stop talking about it here, so not to give out spoiler and get my neck snapped 😜 - Posted from rhpmobile

Looking for A Dark Song now. SG. I'm relieved to hear the new Insidous was good. I love that series. It's a shame about the screaming kids however! - Posted from rhpmobile

There is so much love in this new Insidious movie, the kind of love that touches my heart. But pity that there was only a two-second showing of my favourite Patrick Wilson! So, no eye candy for me in this one 😜 - Posted from rhpmobile

Fifty Shades of Grey: Moral of the story - worryingly horror! 👿 Oh dear, I need a bucket of icy cold water to put out my fire when I think of the morals of 50 Shades! 🔥😅 SA, maybe you need to ban me from posting in here, as I keep going off topic 🤦🏻♀️ - Posted from rhpmobile

Love? In Insidious? It's not a proper horror movie unless the lovers are holding hands for the last time while being eaten alive by zombies or having the life sucked out of their bodies in unison by some ghoulish creature! You have me worried now! EQ. Of all the horror movies I've seen I've managed to keep the contents of my stomach down. But I doubt I would be able to say the same if made to sit through even one of the 50 shades movies... - Posted from rhpmobile

🤣🤣🤣 I find most chick flicks mind-numbing. As in, without resorting to narcotics, just merely watching them induces a state of complete zoning out stupor! Given time and excessive doses of saccharine-sweet, totally unrealistic and impractical chick flicks, the mind slowly liquefied and turns its chick audience into mindless zombies! 😨 Aieeeee! Beware the females with their rose-tinted glasses on! There's going to be a mad grab for any Tom's Dick and Hairy because these desperate women need men as accessories to complete their dream weddings and to finance them. 🤣🤣🤣 When life and reality (plus domestic chores and screaming, whiney kids) hit them hard like a ton of bricks, they start to resent the men for not being able to give them their princess lives, and they start to hate the poor man, retaliate by withholding sex, etc. Meanwhile, the men, all clueless, get their hearts broken and who's smashed and they lug all that baggage to the next, the next and the next NSA, thinking life's a drag and women are all bloodsuckers. 😛 Yeah... chick flicks are sheer horror alright! 🤣🤣🤣

I enjoyed the scares, and loved the recliner seats at Hoyt's cinema. Think I might make Tightarse Tuesday a regular thang now! 😁 Wish we could discuss the movie, SG! But I don't want to spoil it for others. Maybe we should have "Spoiler Alert!" in the subject to kinda warn others? 😛😁

After all these years I still love Predator. Its a classic. Maybe its young hot Arnie, maybe its all those bulging biceps, maybe its just being able to say "If it bleeds, we can kill it" or "Get to the chopper", in an Arnie Austrian accent. Whatever it is I've watched it about 20 times now. We love it for family movie night. We're all obsessed.

Not rated very well for acting etc but... I did find the original "Butterfly Effect" quite disturbing, as I happened to relate it to my own personal circumstances at the time in regard to the hopes and (continually dashed) dreams of the protagonist, and particularly the ending (note that depending on the version you saw/have, there were three different endings made).

Strange, I never knew of this horror movie until last week! It was released in 2014. It stars Chandler Riggs, of The Walking Dead fame (Rick's son). Dylan McDermott and Aussie, Frances O'Connor starred in this production too. Again, somebody's grandmother most likely sold her soul to the Devil and bizarre things started to occur. Seems like witches, spells and incantations are dominating the horror genre these days. Scary? Yes, certain scenes were frightening. I wanted more though but then again, I'm hardcore XXX ... horror fan and horror genre addict! 😛

I watched The Monster last night. Bloody waste of time. I fell asleep several times too whilst forcing myself to sit through the movie. 😝 It's slow, predictable, not that scary and it draaaaags on. I abhor the negligent young mother's character as well. I seldom come across horror movies that are this bad. The scares are sparse and not really scary. I'd give it a rotten tomato. 😝🍅

New one on Netflix, watched it last night. Pretty good, a bit cliche in parts but some genuinely scary moments.
