I have a sneezing 'fit' at least once a day. Minimum of four sneezes per fit, but it's been recorded as going as high as 11. They're the 'cute tch tch' ones that Touch referred to, but much more annoying. No idea what the trigger is?

..yeah, i think i know the sneeze variety you mean. Like a cat does. "Tchh..tchh!." I can see how 11 of them might be annoying. Have you heard that in the old days, good christianly folk believed it was a bit of your soul escaping( hence the bless you.. )? Have you no soul..? 😆 Maybe it's hayfever. I briefly worked with someone who couldnt stay in the Pibara in the end, because of all the pollen in the air in spring. Or is it winter that happens up here? Most flowers appear in winter here, I've noticed. Presumably because it's less hot.

I realise it's still there, but closed. Lucky, as some people have commented there for interest that haven't registered on the event page; if it was removed I would have a hard time working out who they were. So in any case now I will compile the full known interest list from the register as well as the forum post and private messaging. Good computer practise, create backup info in case something disappears!

As a prolific sneezer I know I can be annoying. I sneeze for 20 to 30 minutes to all day sometimes. Do not know what sets it off. Dust, new place, cheap perfume, expensive perfume. Medication doesn't help-helps my hayfever only. But I do warn people once I start!!!

The Pilbara has seasons?? Oh, you mean those four weeks every year when it cools down a bit lol? Newman is stinking hot already. Interesting fact about the olden day Christian folk, I hadn't heard that one before. I always thought it originated during the plague, where sneezing is (apparently) a symptom... remember the nursery rhyme 'Ring a ring of roses, a pocket full of posies'? I don't sneeze much, hardly ever actually, but every so often I'll do one of those no warning little tch ones, no build up you know, and I've been known to have little accidents lol always always when I'm busting, those pesky little sneezes come from nowhere. Must be something that gets up my nose, usually in shops so must be something perfumed 😊

Your second question drove me to Google. Lots of info about the origin of 'bejesus', all fairly innocuous & bland. Except for one that I particularly liked, from a website called illogicopedia, and I quote "Have you ever heard someone say, "You scared the bejesus outta me!" That was invented from King BeJeezus. Since King BeJeezus' kinging skills were crap "You scared the bejesus outta me!" means "You scared the crap outta me." Over time the spelling shifted from BeJeezus to Bejeezos to bejeeezis to lalalala to bejesus." Seems reasonable to me 😀 As for your first question, the difference between bejesus and nottobejesus is simple. The former means you get to be crucified with the attendant, pesky, potentially unattractive stigmata, and the latter means you don't. I know which one I'd prefer 😉

Congrats on the new job! Part of my issue is having to stay in Shitsville for the time being, small city and not as many job opportunities. If I could move then I think I would get something pretty quickly. Other issue is being a new graduate I'm now over-qualified for the previous type of work I've done, but don't have enough professional-specific experience for a lot of the jobs advertised in my field of study. That 'rock and hard place' thing. Hopefully something will turn up soon.

I volunteered at a place, to boost my knowledge while I was finishing my studies in the field. I was offered casual work within a month, then a 4 days fixed term contract for 3 months, and fulltime ongoing contract within 6 months. Seven years later I am still there, now manage the place. Volunteering was the best decision I ever made 👌

is definitely a great way to get experience for some jobs. Also really good for all those transferable skills like communication, client rapport, time management etc. Unfortunately for many of the roles / tasks / responsibilities involved in my area it's almost impossible to get the experience in any way other than as a supervised uni student on placement, or working in a job (basically against policies and law for volunteers to do the tasks). Being older and having previous work experience is usually an advantage for me though. Even the other day I was talking to a recruiter and before she knew anything about me other than I was fresh out of uni she said I sounded very confident for a new grad, and basically guessed that I was mature age with previous employment and 'life' experience. As she said, that can count for a lot when going for jobs because those life skills are the things that can't really be taught and just come as you get older (and supposedly wiser... ).

Is it just me or are other women put off by short notice visitors to your area? They quite often change their location to Perth (in my case) at that time so I check out the profile, ovcasionally hit the jackpot and think this guy is perfect, exactly what I'm looking for, then see the travel details, due to arrive in 3 or 4 days, only here for 2 days? Told me all about how I was wrong when I said my period wasn't particularly regular, as there are set biological reasons why women menstruated every 28 days. I listened very patiently, then told him I know I'm only a girl but I can still count to really high numbers, and that I'm pretty sure I know the regulatory with which blood starts coming out of my vagina. But i think the messages are inappropriate if they are sent to people who have confirmed attendance for the Melbourne meet and greet. I sincerely hope it would stop as it is not working for them and giving a negative vibe about their meet. It is unfortunate to have it scheduled so close to SS and the Meet. I wonder why they chose this date? I don't think people going to the two functions. Well the meet anyway, will even bother to make the trip to theirs. But good luck to them. I hope they get their numbers to cover their expenses. Better planning and research next time.

No they missed their preferred date and decided to proceed on the next available which was the M&g night. I let them know it was m&g night but they knew that. Guess they figured the could attract enough but obviously struggling. Having been to both, MG is easy my preferred. And it's next to free and a lot of networking can be done.
