so I just checked it out and I had one guy on shortlist, one poor lonely guy hanging out on my shortlist. I don't even remember him, have no clue when I added him anyway, he looks good, I'm gonna hit him up and then I looked at who had me on their shortlist and that was interesting, never looked at that before, not that I remember anyway. Lots I'm not interested in but there are some who I am very interested in, but they've never even flirted or anything. So my question too, is why do they put you on there and never make a move? Same reason I had him on there maybe, because I'm an idiot and forget to go back and check, or does it have some other purpose, similar to the hotlist showing that person on your feed etc. I don't really know the answer to that. I'll test it out. I'll put you on my shortlist and report back. Just make sure you leave lots of comments lol testing testing 123 I found one guy who has me on his shortlist, I had flirted with him, not once, but 4 times mind you, talk about a stalker and nothing back from him. Strange that I'm on his shortlist

No, it just adds what they post to your news feed and gives you notifications when they come online (I think). @ITM I have a few people on my short list that I've never messaged or flirted. Some are because it shows they haven't been online in a while, others are ones that I intended to message but never got around to it or have a template profile with no verification/validations. I check it every now and then to see if someone is deserving of a message!

"The mistake made by a transitory being who believes in the immutability of things. The fallacy is so named in D'Alembert's Dream by *Diderot, who gives the lovely illustration from *Fontanelle of the rose, who said that so far as any rose could remember, no gardener had ever died. A parallel problem afflicts *creationists who cannot see, and therefore do not credit, the ceaseless processes of geological change." Nice relaxing day yesterday - SundayCaught up with a couple of forumites yesterday for brunch and a few hours of yak. Few wines, plenty of stories. A few drinks and I decided to team up with one of said forumites for some naughty fun and we posted a datefinder. Got a lovely response from a hot male who was up for a tv/m/f. Some sexy banter via text set the scene. We were obviously keen for the pending hot time. One text suggested that he was happy to pay for the "dinner party". WTF? Not sure what that meant and somewhat forgotten about after some more cryptic texts. Anyway, meet time arrived as did he. Few wines and nice chat. Was looking like a memorable time as he was nice. The topic of recreational substance was raised and talked about and we made it clear we dont do that scene at all. Never have and never will. We moved on and shortly after made our move to get the action going. Before it evolved he excused himself to the bathroom which was normal. We waited. We waited. We got sexy with each other while we waited. He returned to the room somewhat different in stature. The two of us moved in. My friend took the top end, me the middle. I was having little response, my friend pulled back from the kissing and gave me a puzzled glance. She asked if I was having any luck. She went in for the pash again but shortly pulled back and said it was not on. Something was NQR. His mouth was stone dry. He had no response to either of us. He had turned into a dead fish.He denied it but the signs were unanimous. He had iced up in the bathroom. We shut it down and asked him to leave immediately. Fortunately he did. Didn't stop him from texting 2 hours later to see if he could come back. WTF again...... Our first experience with this culture and not one we want to visit again. Reviewing the lead up, we now know what a "dinner party" was. He was happy to provide substance.Maybe we are a bit naive. But will put it down to experience now. We were glad we had each other for backup. 1 on 1 may have been a little heavy.Careful people, it's a jungle out there.

I have been under a lot of stresses and worries lately, so I hopped in here to find some distraction yesterday. I messaged a guy and was asked if he could come in my vagina if we proceeded into the bedroom. Then I heard no more from him after I said no! WTF was even an understatement of my reaction and surprise! I do honestly think that the quality of some men on RHP nowadays is seriously rather less excellent and pleasant!

I won't be so cynical, nor naive, to brush all men with the same brush 😜 I have met (in here and in real life) good hearted men whom I respect enormously! In fact, there is one man in here whom I like to think of him as my mentor because, he has taught me a lot of things and guided me through my doubtful times of when I met the wrong crowd, etc. you know who you are and I honestly think that there is no words can describe my gratitude for your time given to chat to me, so thank you 😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

For a speedy recovery to Mrs urn, Mr urn. Be smiling and positive every morning when you wake up, just to suck in all the good energy and vibe from the earth to give you a brighter start of the day :) I know it's easier said than done, but trust me, I do not just say things like that so lightly, and in the actual fact, the sky above my head is still dark and cloudy, even though it's bright and sunny outside today 😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

In the media today of the story of a fake Tinder account using the ID of a fireman. In the Melbourne area, there is a serial timewaster who claims to be a fireman. Victms are heavily hit up for a date but doesnt show. Even to the point of encouraging women to drive from country Victoria to the city for a date. No show, no message until next day when he promotes a repeat performance. And thats not Tinder I'm talking about. Single male and has a couples profile. Careful out there. It's a rainforest.

Just got back. It's past midnight. late flight, late departure, later arrival. However, the weather in Melb tonight has been great , so far. wow! As I walked to the taxi rank, it is t-shirt weather. Thanks Melbourne weather Gods for the welcome.... I feel loved. I asked the taxi driver to drive along the Albert Park Scenic Lakeside drive and it was just wonderful.... on my right, the lake glimmering against the clear skies with the moon shining bright and the winding road set against the dark outlines of the office building and hotels lined up along Queens road on my left, all lit up like a wonderful long stretched xmas tree. One of my favourite night drive routes. Hardly any traffic and so close to the city. Ahhh Melbourne. Tall, funny that, I just came back from Sydney town and it really is beautiful there. Feels like summer (23-25?) and enjoyed the walk from my Hotel to work with a strong soy latte in my hand (I needed the extra strength considering late nights at work and crashing in my hotel). Each morning when I wake up in my hotel, I wonder where I was and if George Clooney really gave me lapdance while I was reading work materials. Yes it was. Sadly.... . I better lay off the juice... I WUV YA MELBOURNE!!!! I wuv ya Annie!!!!! mwah!!!!

I have to admit the detox for the first 4 am days was pure hell with headaches/migraines nausea and generally wanting to kill people. But day 5 and I feel amazing. I have bacon and eggs for dinner with tomatoe, spinach, cheese and cream Quarter of a chicken (with skin) for lunch with spinach, cream cheese Eggs for breakfast Celery and cream cheese for a snack And cream in my coffee rather then milk. Went to the shop to buy some milk and a woman walked out as i walked in, there was tampon still in its wrapper lying on the floor where she'd been standing. If I'd picked it up and said "Excuse me did you drop this", what could possibly have gone wrong? However it's also possible she was out and about and had taken one tampon with her to keep her going until she got home, so potentially I could've saved from some discomfort and inconvenience. What did do?I surreptitiously kicked it under the counter

Quoting 'usrightnow' Quoting 'SoftandCurious' Just ate my weight in nachosFeel sick. Now I have to wait a whole hour before starting on the tim tams. We love nachos. Good corn chips, Mexi-beans, finely diced tomatoes and capsicum, barbeque sauce, sweet chilli sauce, covered in a good cheese, with fresh made avocado dip (with plenty of lemon juice, little lime juice, and some zest of lime) and light sour cream with some tobacco sauce in it, yum. And we're a bit like that, you think haven't had them for ages, you have a huge plate, then think, don't want them again for a while. However, while eating them, you think, this is great, we should have these more than once every few months 😃😊. .And Tim Tams are a food group right? Especially the dark chocolate ones 😊😊.Mr. urn. . hahaha.... Oh Mr. Urn... you are terrible.... Love it. my boys make nachos as entre as I make dinner. I always have mozarella and tasty cheese in the fridge and a packet of nacho chips in the cupboard. I also love jalapeno chillis on my nachosl I make my own salsa sauce and bottle/preserve them, about every 3 months. I have been making it for nearly 20 yrs now and learned to make it while living in Dallas. so a bit of TexMex recipe. The supermarket brands just dont cut it. Full of sugar and not hot at all. And I put more cumin and fresh coriander in my recipe. No sugar. I make them spicy and my friends always get a bottle or two (some friends are greedy and ask for 3 bottles). My only request for them is to provide me with small bottles (re-used jam or stuffed olive bottles) for their salsa. If we ever meet, I will give you a bottle or two of spicy salsa. Sharing is caring....

Quoting 'SoftandCurious' It's a simple calculation of giving me the best chance of keeping them down 😉 Mr Urn they are indeed! Keep mine in the freezer. Tim tams can last up to 4-6months at my place. Even my boys wont touch it because of the high sugar content! This is the downside of raising kids with a healthy eating diet. Going the grocery shopping with them can really be a downer as I love my Rocky Road ice cream, my only food obsession. My boys would always remind me we should eat healthier and cut down on sugar based food and minimal junkfood (chips, etc) and eat more vegies and fruits, which we do always anyway. They both give me a 'tut'tut'. bad mom' disapproving look when I wander towards the ice cream isle.... And when I get the ice cream tub, they take it off the cart and put it back, making feel like a deliquent child on a shopping trip. but, but... Maybe I'll just roll on the floor and throw a tantrum to make them give in and hand back my liter of Rocky Road icer cream. Wonder if that will work?

Obviously the nature of such matters warrants full and proper discussion in the interests of all citizens (both now and into the future). Thus far, all of the discussions I've heard, and the articles and opinion pieces I've seen have been highly emotionally charged and full of political point scoring. That being the case, and wishing to avoid those pitfalls, I write in hope of ascertaining some lesser discussed facts, and the opinions/perspectives of others to weigh in consideration; particularly those which have not been raised or discussed broadly elsewhere. I must stress, my purpose is not to point score or to discriminate, disparage or vilify. Rather, I seek mature, open discussion to fill some knowledge gaps and round out the debate. If same sex marriage is to be passed into Law (whether by Plebiscite or by Parliamentary vote), there are matters beyond the immediate political and civil rights considerations currently under discussion which also will need to be successfully managed in order to maintain a cohesive civil society. I know and understand there are deeply held concerns over the potential divisiveness of this issue in the community. Again, my purpose is not to stir that up. Rather, I think this potential divisiveness is the very reason these other aspects need to be discussed. Surely, greater transparency will aid quality debate and better management of community expectations. With these considerations in mind, I'd be grateful if someone will shed light on these (and/or other) supplemental aspects. Is there actually any clarity as to the numbers of same sex couples who do wish to be married in a formal ceremony? I have heard various estimates, but is there a definitive source of such information? As an interesting side note with its own implications, I quote another of my own posts from the "Safety Valve" thread (10AUG16): Quote: "xojulesox, lilyorchid et al Census privacy issues have been raised persistently for decades. You may be amused to learn the views expressed by one Prof Colin Howard noted in ALRC Report No 12 in 1979 (ISBN 0642034230). An excerpt of paragraph 35 of that report reads as follows: "The Constitution 35 Paragraph 12(c) Census and Statistics Act 1905, imposes no substantive limits on the questions which may be asked in a census. Provided the procedures are observed there is no statutory limit on the information which may be sought. In 1976 doubts were expressed concerning the validity of paragraph 12(c). Professor Cohn Howard suggested that startling consequences might follow if this paragraph were to he held a valid exercise of power: You could be fined, or indeed, if Parliament saw fit to make the law stricter, imprisoned for refusing to give full details of your sex life (my emphasis) or how much toilet paper you use . The view taken by Professor Howard is that it is possible that the High Court might limit paragraph 51(xi), Constitution, to authorising collections for the purpose of ss. 24 and 105, Constitution, and matters ancillary thereto. Even if paragraph 51 (xi) were to be given a wider interpretation, the High Court might well limit it to collections of information relevant to the exercise of other heads of Commonwealth power..." Unquote It may be quite reasonably and properly argued most aspects of life for most people will remain unchanged if same sex marriage passes into Law. However, same sex marriage will bear some consequences to all of the community. For example: Irrespective who occupies political office, beyond the immediate political and civil rights implications of same sex marriage, beyond the current high profile of the Census and Privacy, but in recognition of the current high profile of and calls for Federal Government Budget repair, is anyone aware of any plans or projections for management of the ongoing financial implications? Would it be reasonable to expect same sex marriages would experience the same/similar divorce rates as heterosexual marriages? Is anyone aware of any estimate of the additional funding that will be required for the operation of the Family Law Courts? Has there been any discussion as to how the Family Law Courts might adjudicate child custody disputes between divorcing same sex couples (of either gender)? What factors might weigh into the Courts' consideration (particularly where each partner are more or less evenly matched in terms of income earning capacity, willingness and capability of caring for their progeny)? How far along are the Courts in consideration of either In-vitro fertilization, or of adoption of children by same sex couples? All parents (regardless of their sexuality) qualify for a range of payments from the Department of Human Services (such as Childcare Benefit/Childcare Rebate). What of Family Tax Benefit Parts A & B? Has there been any budget projection promulgated? Quite obviously, these questions are far from exhaustive. There are many more. I ask these not as reason or excuse to deny passage of Law. I would ask for suggestion as to how these elements of the matter might be fairly and appropriately managed. Is anyone open to discussing these (or other) aspects of the same sex marriage debate?
