what does it matter? we will all be 'old' soon enough, so the ones saying eww no not me! will be the ones saying OI! what about me? wont they? if you are an 'older' couple but conduct yourself properly and care enough to present yourself in the best possible light, the younger ones will be clamoring for your company. if though, you are an 'older couple' and it looks like you are, then dont complain when no-one comes a-knocking on your door......stay young by staying healthy, as staying healthy will certainly help with things like sex-drive and the like...........it works for us at least......

Unfortunately people can be missing out by strictly limiting themselves to a certain age group. It's a person's attitude & how well they look after themselves that count. There are people in their 30's who look & act way older. We too have a ball park figure of what we're looking for but will not rule anyone out just because of their age...whether way older or way younger.The years creep up on us all very quickly...so those who are dismissing folk who maybe 10 years older than themselves will soon be the ones being dismissed cos they're past their use by date !! LOL

Being 70 I find it hard to find female playmates yet I get messages from a lot of 40-50 yr old guys want ing "experience". I also get flirts from 20-30 yr old females, who, when I follow up disapear. Really pissed off I am.

I have been following this topic with some interest and find the attitude of some very offensive - go and look for older women in shopping centres wheeling trollies etc. Am not suprised you find it hard to link up. And you have additional problems because you are in a country town. You would think that Melbourne would provide some pastures to graze on but I have not had any response in Melbourne through RHP for a long time. Do all women lose interest in sex after 60? hmmm.....we've been away for a week and was surprised to see this still rumbling on! I still find it strange that a specific number can still encourage or discourage someone. The question I'd like to ask is - for those who discriminate on age (and I don't mean that in a bad way, but discrimination is basically what we are talking about but we all discriminate on one basis or another), do you ask someones age when you catch up with them, or do you judge on personality and looks?

It's all about statistics and target preferences.. And on here, we discriminate because age is one of the many basic boxes to tick. It is discriminatory - there might be some hot chicky in her 50's with reinforced hips that I couldn't get enough of here... but I know the majority of 50-somethings don't float my boat and I'm not willing to troll through all the 50-somethings to find her. It'd be like finding a needle in a haystack when I know if I stick to my target group (schoolgirls who smoke) the odds of being pricked are much better. . I guess what I find funny, is it still makes you look at your own dating mortality... I mean I will hit the big 3-6 sometime, which will bump me out of a lot of seach criteria that draw the line at 35. So as I creep one year up the wrinkly ladder, do I have to adjust my search criteria from 18-40 and make the cut-off 19-41..? And do I have to start my messages with a 'But I am a YOUNG 36'?? . Oh.. but to answer your question - if you just bumped into someone and were dragging them back to your place for sporting sex, I wouldn't check ID (I let the courts do that at a later date)... But that's different, the boxes you tickoff are different online vs offline because the order of your checklist is naturally different.

Thanks for writing that saved me from doing it....lol...but will have to clarify for myself when it comes to meeting someone socially if they look obviosuly older than my Mother - sorry I'm not going to ask for ID or their age I am just not going to go there...thats my benchmark - my upper limit - my mothers age and above...I just dont want to go there... .
