to wonder whether anyone will want to take me on full time. Aside from the fact that I'm a pain in the ass lol I viewed a profile yesterday where he said he wanted a lady in public but a sexual whatever behind closed doors Nooooo that's not me either 😄 I'm no lady 😉

I hugged my daughter. She’s about to begin year 12 exams, her first one is tomorrow and I know she’s stressed. She walked into my chest, head at my cheek and hugged me (this is huge, she hates anything like that, and we struggle with affection) ... I put my arms around her and told her ‘she makes us proud every single day and year 12 results are but a number. I know how hard she has worked her whole high school life and no number can reflect that dedication and effort. I told her I can’t reduce her stress but hopefully she understands that we’ve noticed her effort and dedication, and that speaks volumes. We’re proud no matter what’ ... We both had tears, good tears ... and I’ll cherish that cuddle because for the first time in a long time, it was a ‘I need you Mum cuddle ... and you made me feel good and safe mum cuddle’ ... a very good morning ❤️❤️❤️ Mary xx

A funeral to console each other. Never enough hugs and they make you feel better - giving and receiving. It also releases oxytocin which is never a bad thing

I almost hugged someone in the shops just so I could post last week! I swear it's true. We (hubby was there) both happened to be looking for 'bitter lemon' drink which is a long time loved mixer of mine with gin. I heard the woman murmur it to herself moments after we found it on the bottom shelf! I passed one to her as we we 3 ended up having a chat about how well bitter lemon goes with gin... it reminded us both of his deceased mother who also loved gin and bitter lemon. Peachy

But I hug hubby a LOT! Every day, multiple times a day, long hugs sometimes as I stop and breathe for a few moments. Catch my breath so to speak? It's pretty cool to have that one person where all I focus on is the breath. It makes me feel good just thinking about it. Peachy

Last person I hugged was my son. They're not generic hugs, we hug when we have dinner served, given there was a time we had to go without, it's kind of appreciation. We've helped each other and there is now a deep respect between us. He hugs me anywhere now, out, in front of his mates, doesn't matter where we are, we always part with a hug. I accept him for who his is, very talented, gifted in so many ways, he's caring and non-judgemental. He accepts me for who I am too, even the cougar thing, he doesn't judge. He's proud of me too. So happy we've had this opportunity to bond. Every hug matters

Go for it Betty, I often wonder if 'we' give ourselves enough love sometimes. I know it is one of the big things that I have worked on, that I just didn't know how. Me time is precious. Maybe a thread there one day. :-) That is beautiful Touch, you made me teary now. Our family can be our foundation can't it? Peachy

That's absolutely wonderful Touch. I hope to get that sort of relationship back with my daughter one day though she has never been one to show much affection. Last person I hugged was my ex yesterday. She'd had a pretty bad day.

lol my daughter lets me hug her but eventually pushes me off when I don't let go 😂 She was more like a Mother to me when she was little, tell me off, she still rolls her eyes at me sometimes, but we laugh, she's really cool. Just don't get to see her often enough. Getting on that tomorrow, overdue for a coffee and hang catchup 👍 I always hugged my kids a lot, smothered them lol

I hugged but I hugged and kissed my Mum goodbye in early hours of July on Friday the 13th.She passed away peacefully I am glad I was able to say goodbye to her.

Just now my lovely neighbour, who has been keeping an eye on my house along with her partner while I was away at my daughter's house for just over a month. Last night I hugged my daughter as I left to return home.
