I've had quite a few jobs in my days and a few at nights too. Most have had interesting parts and all have some mundane parts. The best parts are usually the people (probably the worst parts too eh). I've earned pathetically little to enjoyably much and it took a shitload of time, effort, stress and education to get from one to the other. I love what I do now but do find it a little too taxing (basically because I give too much of a damn for my own good). I'm really intrigued about what I'll be doing in the future as there's just so much I'd like to do. I do enjoy meeting people from other walks of life, not to hear about their jobs but their lives and choices and where they have been and want to go. A lot of jobs have a great affect on people and after getting to know someone it is then quite interesting to hear about their jobs as you can see what effects their jobs have on them. I do hate the "What do you do for a living" question in initial chit chat with people as once my answer would have me pegged as a shit kicker, now I'm pegged as one of those professional types and I'm thought to earn way more than I actually do (again because I care and am waaay too cheap!) but hey I am still me now as I was then. I'm older, more settled, often more grumpier but on the other hand have a much better understanding and love for the world. I have just about everything I could ever need or want for (apart from the fanciful world peace, end to poverty and love between all men and Stalky). Sometimes I still want for more but only fleetingly and often I want for less. I work to live not live to work and hate it when it has to be the other way around. I'm rarely jealous of others careers (apart from KEN BLOCK!!!). I wouldn't mind being a sommelier but I'm just not fancy enough to pull it off. So there you go Waggy, does that answer your initial question? Far more informative than if I just said "I'm an accountant" don't you think? Oh and I am not an accountant

Yeah i dont have problem with sharing meaningless information.. I buy crappy cars like yours and chop it in half then fix all the stuff wrong with it that has been neglected for the whole time perriod of which you've own it.. From the ground up, a total rebuild, and from that date a totally unique vehicle with colours only dreamed of.. with my name under the bonnet.. These days i am fortunate enough to do it all from home, leaving me time to jump the net and check out whats happening.. Though i have worked in construction before also and know how demanding and time consuming it really is,

In the meantime, I work in fields outside my preferred occupation, but it pays the bills. At the end of the day, it is more important to be a positive role model to my children, one who goes to work and puts food on the table. I am learning to be the best worker I can be, in the jobs I am doing. Satisfaction can be found from doing a hard day's work :)

neither have i for that matter!! you won't spot us atm as metro's kicked us out for 2 weeks, we have 5-7 weeks full occupancy of a tunnel (most likely caulfield next i can't remember). We spend most of the time doing sweet f/a and there's a couple of rail safety blokes who let us "disappear" if required... and with 20 blokes per shift you'd not be short of choice hehehe. And no I'm not a prostitute...I love knowing what people do - I often find it fascinating. If they don't to talk about it, no worries, but why ignore what occupies at least 50% of a person's waking hours?I do fundraising, technical writing, a bit of PR and marketing, research and admin stuff. At least, that's what I get paid to do.I also volunteer a fair bit and I am at uni... As far as I'm concerned it's all work.Cheers,MS(the female half)

I sell New Homes and also help design and customize designs for their dream homes. Lots of custom stuff. So if you need a dream home look me up but have a full bank account Does not seem exciting but i enjoy it. Its great to see a home you designed come to life. I love to please people
