You can't even someone special or precious these days without having someone raise their eyebrow. I feel this way about some words...I do think like you say the context has a lot to do with it, and the' political correctness' has gone too far in some areas. I suppose 'retarded' and the like particularly rattle my chains because of my previous work in disability support, and the large focus on disabilities in OT studies / work. Plus in our studies we are taught to strictly avoid labelling language, and penalised / rebuked if we do use it. Like everyone, my personal experiences colour my opinions and values. I'm still trying to condition myself out of using the word 'fucktard'....must admit I am rather fond of that one

I so understand where your coming from...... The funny thing is mines a bit more twisted..... I was slim with curves and all guys flocked to me and my sister was large and had all these great friends...... We spoke just recently and we found out we were jealous of each other..... Her, wanting guys, not guys that just wanted to be friends............. Then me, wanting to know that my friends were after me and not just because I was pretty and that guys weren't only after me because I was good eye candy....... My strong, intelligent and beautiful sister finally found her confidence, however had to move to Vancouver in order to find it and her partner............. She didn't look any different on the outside, it was all the confidence she had built and achieved, that let her light shine.

After commenting previously i did a search on google for bbw images. So it appears that on there mostly i believe bbw is for women sizes at 24 and upwards at least. so in my thoughts it would go like the following. Let me know if you agree or disagree. size 6,8,10 slim size 12,14 average size 16,18 a little exta padding size 20,22 ample size 24 and up bbw

I'm not sure if I would draw a line in the sand like that, or else RHP could just list dress sizes. In any case, having much experience in leading fashion brands.... A fit model is size 6... A catwalk model is size 8... Both are 6foot plus tall... Most labels grade designs up to size 14. 0BBW The other categories are fillers in the range 0

Most of the guys there look at each other... and most of the women there are too busy power strutting to take any notice... so the models are left there like coat hangers... mingling... nobody makes eye contact with them because the women can't see all the way up there.. .and the men are too busy looking at each other... so I make eye contact with them and try to elicit a human response... guess what.. it works! Now these women are fucking big. Nobody can deny that a woman who is 6 foot 3 is not fucking big! She is a size 8, but that doesn't matter, she is still a Big Beautiful Woman. As I said earlier in my first post, the emphasis here is on beautiful. Whether that is in looks and appearance, or grace and style, or mannerisms, or character matters not one bit. What google or anyone lists..... To me personally, I like the term, it represents a woman who is not slim, skinny or sleek (btw only don't like skinny on that one) but a woman with the extra padding. They dont have to be voluptuous or have an hour glass figure.............. They are a larger make, be it through food, life, childbearing etc... Each have a story, each is beautiful in who they are and yes this applies to everyone, every size and every walk of life......... Just that this post was for this style of woman particularly. Enjoy

Found a fun BMI (body mass index) calculator online that has sliders for height and weight and a image that changes to show what you look like. LOL lots of fun to play with. But even though I have a BMI of 23 (178cm 75kg) the body image destroying site tells me I should check my waist measurement. WHAT!!!!!! I don't have 3kg of fat to lose to get a perfect BMI. Dam my big bones. Oh well 10 years ago i was 100+kg after I stopped surfing, clinically obese. Still have my big cloths just in case.

I got the shock of my life a couple of weeks ago visiting an gastroenterologist. I'm 184cm and apparently now 95kg. I've never been this heavy. Doctors orders... lose 12Kg. Google Michael Mosely 5/2 diet. You basically fast for 2 days a week, well you're allowed 600 calories on those days. Based on the cave man hunter gatherer life where a wooly mammoth kill would mean a feast fir a few days followed by a day of hunger as they hunted again. Do you want to lose a kg a week?

What size does one have to be to fall into the BBW category? 16 and above? Or does it go by weight? I'm very proud of my womanly curves and refer to myself typically as curvaceous, although I do like the term rubinesque. I wear a 14-16 and am an hourglass in shape. Just wondering what defines one as big. Is it in the eye of the beholder? If I don't fall into the BBW class, where do I fit?

Miss B-watch out for those fitness age tests. I tore a rotator cuff doing the push-ups and because of tachycardia my fitness age was 76! Lmfao. One day I will die rooting! :p Thanks smo669. I looked it up and I like that! I especially like the implied idea of going hunting for a woolly mammoth for two days a week. I shall search high and low, (particularly low), for the hairiest mammothly genitalia I can find! Love a good quest! There are more men out there then most people realise that love to be with a large body woman and I am proud to use the term BBW to describe myself in fact I usually put sexy in front of it as that is the way I feel about myself. It is a pity though most men feel that they have to conform to societies expectations and find a slimmer a woman to develop their life long relationships with. As a society we should become less judgemental about each other and treat people on their personalities instead of the size of their bodies. I can still wear sexy underwear and lingerie and feel very confident when displaying my body to a male and that is what makes me beautiful and sexy.

I am a BBW and am comfortable in my own skin. I find it sad to see in day to day life and to read on here, that some women validate themselves by their size.
