Probably much the same as laser, ipl is expensive and more permanent than waxing but less painful and you don't end up looking like a plucked chicken... Same goes for waxing -I don't do it. But legs , chest and pubes get the clippers , and balls and ass (including around the hole) , get the shaver. No complaints.
