The Dad bod description Is way more cute and complimentary 🙄 “If human bodies were cuts of meat, the dad bod would skew more marbled rib eye than filet mignon; or, if human bodies were sea mammals, dad bod would be more like a grazing manatee than a speedy dolphin. The dad bod is more mudslide than mountain, more soft serve than sorbet, more sad trombone than clarinet, more mashed potato than skinny fry. The dad bod is built for comfort.” We got ripped off! Why are Dads Manatees yet we are no longer recognisable ? Shells of our former selves fed through the human meat grinder of life. STFU urban dictionary and your skewed perception. Sorry OP just got a bit off topic. As you were.

Quoting 'EarthQueen' The Dad bod description is way more cute and complimentary 🙄 Not off topic at all! Thank you for this. You are right, there is definitely a skewed perception. I wonder how the 'dad bod' gained so much support so quickly? The 'mum bod' needs the same boost!

Mum bods...I love'em because realistically women in my demographic have Mum bods and these are the women who are most likely to get naked with me.Having said the it's the person who rocks the Mum bod that turns me on. Mrs Farmer lives 400 K's from me and the first time we met she was at pains to point out that she wasn't going to upstage Elle. Her term is jelly belly, she is a big girl in a number of ways and probably her heart is the biggest. Without going into details (I'd love to) she is an absolute asset to her community and has made a huge difference to many peoples lives.Wifey and Ms Divorcee have Mum bods too, they're all beautiful women and I'm grateful for them being in my life.

Definition of the no-mum bod: A woman who has had no kids, but has experienced life events that have affected her body in such a way that they changed her physical appearance to the point to where she no longer looks like herself. Ex: stretch marks on the hips, thighs and boobs, rounded face, double chin, cellulite ass, saggy boobs from illness, old age and and generally letting herself go a bit, a rounded or sagging belly (stomach, abdomen).

I love all the imperfections, the ala natural life stories of the people we meet. Yes I have my issues from having 2 beautiful children later in life and the fact that I'm a lazy biatch and never exercised.... I do sexercise a lot tho (does that count) and to add to it I lost a lot of weight which I thought would improve my self esteem to only add due to now saggy skin and lost my butt...ohh well can win them all. Point is I feel better but gotta get over it, age can't be dismissed. I know for fact that's why I'm a lingerie lover and the bugger stays on as long as possible, I feel sexy in it.....although have had a few moments of late where it it all comes off in the heat of the moment but mostly due to the beautiful compliments of our present company. Self confidence is easy to say and I think it's the people around you that help. We have beautiful friends all shapes and sizes but we adore each each other for who we are not for our bodies.

I agree Country. I say the same to people all the time, 'you look like you to me'. Can I just add, ladies we're getting old-bods is what I know it to be. Bone density and muscle-mass decreases and adipose (fat) tissue increases. And can I also add, to all the ladies that are on this thread so far, I think you are all gorgeous and beautiful. Time is going to keep ticking and I hope my ticker ticks until I'm 100! Viva la all of us!

Mum bods have a beautiful little human to show for the Mum's hard work. Either I drew the short straw or Dads don't get pregnant and therefore have no real reason to have a Dad bod. Mums really are worth their weight in gold.

Mum bod here, big butt and wobbly tummy. The guys Ive met and befriended like curves ...but...when Im meeting someone new I get self conscious. Ive met cuddly guys and been attracted to them so I dont see the difference, I just think women are much more self conscious about their bodies than men. For example, when Im chatting to someone I usually say that Im a curvy lady. Yet no guy Ive ever chatted to has felt the need to remark on his body shape.

It would be nice to see dad-bod and mum-bod in the body type selector.. but hey at least my dad-bod has some chance of recovering itself as I work at pushing the pram around! As my better half carried twins to term and, before recovering, had another she's looking remarkably good a year or so on.. but some of those stretches and excess skin will take a while to recover.. Some other options on the body type selector perhaps: "bigger than she used to be .. but you should have seen her while pregnant!" As newbies here it does feel a bit hard trying to select profile photos etc - when 90% of other profiles seem to have almost model bodies.. even those who have had kids (as some who posted above!).. Trying to show she's not overweight, just rocking the mum-bod is tricky.. at least she's good at being sexy and creative - we'll get there! :)

I've got a mum bod. I'm not a "big" woman, underweight at the moment thanks to my thyroid, but my A cups sag like an 80 year old's balls and scars from c sections and hysterectomy leave me wondering if there might be such a thing as a scar fetish so I can get laid at least 1 more time before I finish my innings. When I gain my weight back I'll also have a tummy and cellulite and you can bet your mum's bra I'll bitch about them too. Some will appreciate what my body has created and some will want to devour my flower. We've got 1 thing going for us though... we've always got poppers in the fridge and snacks in the cupboard for after play time. Pray for me and my flower.

There is such a variety between mum bods as opposed to dad bods! Personally, I am ever so grateful that my body provided life to my two beautiful munchkins. It’s taken awhile, but I’ve learned to love my body for what it can do, as opposed to what it looks like! A woman’s body is amazing, regardless of size, shape, colour etc 😊

There is no such thing as not looking like you any more. How you look today is how you look. It's You. As for imperfections, nobody is perfect so we all have imperfections and those imperfections may look perfect to someone else. Mum and dad bods rock. More of us than anything else.

I know many women who are extremely self conscious of their bodies, it’s such a shame because their body also tells their life story. Something to be proud of in the same way some men show off their battle scars accumulated over the years. To me a mum body is sexy because she is REAL. Especially in a world that these days glorifies fake people, instagram filters and the like. Give me a real woman over that anyday . Wing

not sure why dad bods get good write up ,as they have no real excuse they don’t transform or do anything to help give birth physically ,truth is many have dad bods well before the are dads from drinking and eating and partying to excess ,women in the other hand go through a hell of a lot till and after the birth and have no choices in their body changes ,i know who should have the better write up for mum and dad bods mr b

Men become attractive with time as they accumulate wealth and resources hence a middle aged dad-bod is ok. Women aren't lining up for overweight men, unless they are some combination of rich and famous. It is a bonus if the man is handsome, but there a thousands of examples of young women throwing themselves at (rich) wrinkly old prunes. Women on the other hand, control sex up until they loose their sex appeal which is normally after a kid. Hence mom-bod as per urban dictionary isnt as flattering. Just look at Jack Nicolson or Leonardo DiCaprio. They have or had a mad as dad bod, but still pull chicks half or a quarter their age. Leo hasnt been with anyone older than 25... Its just the way of the world. Fucked a few mom's. Yeah their tummies arent tight, but my god do they love the cock!

Firstly, I hate everything about NaughtCam’s comment. SO untrue! Women aren’t that shallow believe it or not and men don’t need to be rich, famous OR have a model bod. They just need to not have opinions like yours. Secondly, I love my mum bod! It’s not great but it does bloody well for what it’s been through 😊 We all age, children or no children we all have body issues, one of the best things about aging is that people are more understanding which creates a much more relaxed & comfortable environment in which to play.

MILF and BBW have been two of the more popular porn searches for a long time so I think the mum-bods have always been widely adored. Mum-bod just sounds less fetishy, which is orobably why Dad-bod took off more than DILF.

Is it possible that Dad bods came about in sympathy to Mum bods, because they loved their wives so much they wanted to make them feel better ? Unfortunately the Mums were able to lose 4-10lbs overnight & the Dads were stuck with it. (not that I can talk as not married & have no kids)

We've ironed out the reasons for the mum bod. All valid. Now, a 180 degree to the dad version. Genetically the male is able to maintain a physique into his aged years to enable hunting and gathering to support his children and now little bit fucked up female mate.Well, the beer fridge was never going to be able to empty itself........

Unfortunately I live in the real world and everything I have said is the truth which is backed by decades of research and studies. In short - woman want a man at least 4 years older and of equal or greater social status than they are. Pending on your socioeconomic background what is regarded as social status differs from person to person. Back to the point. People have different bodies and mom-bods are not desired as much as young, fit and toned. Just like tall men are prefered over short. The only difference is - with hard work and diet a mom bod can turn into a fit bod in a few months. Short men cant get taller. So - just deal. If you are sensual, charming, and still got good looks, someone is gonna fuck you. There is always gonna be someone who wants to fuck a women. He just may not lpok the way you want him to - o the irony... Personally, I have a wonderful relationship with a women 10 years my senior and a mother of three. She was thick and her belly soft and riddle with stretch marks. But my god was she the best sex I ever had and I simply didn't care about the mom bod. She had a great smile and wonderful positive personality. Fuck - just typing about it now gets me a little horny. She was amazing. In short. You can change your appearance. If not - mom bod undesirable by the vast majority. Only way to compensate is be an amazing sensual being and the dicks with fall from the heavens....

🙋🏻♀️ haver of a Mum bod right here. Have brought life to this world 4 times and had it pass through me in equal numbers also 😔 In terms of Mum bod’s, I don’t feel I’m doing too bad, hold my ground mostly. Till the carnage that growing BIG beautiful healthy babies wrecked on my tummy is revealed... we all look good in clothes... and with the right lighting... I choose my clothes and my dress ups (which I adore) with care. Stretch marks don’t go away however, neither should they define you.... is my struggle and my battle and no one else’s opinion really matters.... however can still make you feel far less than.... especially in our society, which puts physical perfection above all else. Men out there... does a stretch marked belly really put you off that much???

From looking at many profiles on here I think we can simplify the descriptors to “perfect bod” and “not perfect bod”. This would help in both self descriptions and also in the “what I’m looking for” sections. We all fall into stereotyping and recently we have had a couple seemingly really keen to meet us, I had to ask them why as I’m a realist and looking at their photos I just couldn’t see them being attracted to Mr and Mrs family bods. Seems they like the vibe we give out and find it attractive. So maybe all the perfect bods aren’t just looking for carbon copies of themselves! A digress lol, having witnessed 2 births rather late in life I really have come to love different things about a woman’s body. When I was young it was all the perfect bits but now it’s all the little life modifications that seem to mean more. Mrs S now hates certain parts of her mum bod and will hardly let me see those parts but I adore every bit, to touch a soft belly where two beautiful souls were nurtured to life fills me with warmth and I have never felt more intimate than with post baby sex. I think everyone should have to witness childbirth at a ypunger age so we appreciate what our bodies are ultimately designed for. We would then maybe appreciate all women more and maybe even care a little more about our self destructive race!

My two cents worth about why the term doesn’t exist is that it probably says something about the men that are into women with “mum-bods” and that the perfect, tight body isn’t front of mind for so many of us. As someone who tends to prefer to date women that are older, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t care about looks, but it’s the look of how she carries herself, how she dresses and the love she puts into her body because of what is has given her (and for some that may not have included children). Age still ‘takes its toll’ but wrinkles don’t diminish those things, but can actually amplify them, i remember hearing once that you can see the life someone has lived by the wrinkles on their face and it has stuck with me ever since. So men like me don’t say “mum-bod” and probably never will because it’s simply not what we’re obsessed about it in a woman, but good on you for loving yours!!!

Ahhh I hear you! I absolutely have a “mum bod”, after 5 kids and 4 c-sections (1 set of twins).....nothing and I mean NOTHING is the same! My breasts have gone from perky to severely depressed. I’ve gained extra weight aftereach pregnancy. I have hail damage (cellulite for those not in the know). I have that extra saggy belly skin all us caesarean women unfortunately cannot get rid of. With each baby I got more and more tired, I worried less about hitting the gym and focused more on being the best mum I could be. But after my 16year relationship broke down and I’ve found myself back in the dating pool I’ve come to find just how “unacceptable”, “unattractive” the mum bod apparently is. Guys get out there and proudly show off their “dad bod” because society has accepted it as the norm, unfortunately society has double standards and women with “mum bods” are just seen as repulsive and unhealthy because we haven’t regained our prebaby bodies. Women are body shamed rather than giving our amazing mum bods the credit they deserve for bringing life into this world. I’m hoping and looking forward to the day our mum bods get the recognition and love they’ve worked so hard to deserve

I’m not sure about the statement in the definition about a woman not looking like herself anymore?? It is her, just ageing gracefully and beautifully as nature intended. I’m not a fan of modern day enhancements where some image obsessed women look so fake and not very attractive in my eyes. I love a mature woman with saggy boobs, a lovely butt, whatever shape it is... natural women are more attractive than the enhanced women with obscenely protruding duck lips, fake boobs or that augmented generic face from too much plastic surgery or whatever they do to their faces. Natural, imperfect mum bods are sexy!

As I aged and matured, attraction took on different forms. That belly that grew our 4 sons, is now one of her features I adore the most. I now find attractive, that slightly squidgy body that feeds 5 mouths before her own. That same body that drags her self out of bed at 2am to a sick son. That same body that gives me warmth in the middle of the night as she snuggles into me. To each their own, but that beautiful body, 4 sons and 13 years later, maybe doesnt have the time she once had to exercise hard and diet correctly. That busy mum bod is too busy running around raising, nurturing and keeping safe 4 little boys. And let's not forget, sometimes at the end of the day, as we crawl into bed, that same mum bod takes me inside her, blows my mind, leaves me in awe, content and breathless. She makes me wonder how someone so beautiful can sometimes be so dirty?! We should all be so lucky....

My youngest often looks st the marks on my tummy and says that this ones from him and this ones from his sister etc etc... those marks mean I have my kids. Sure we can be self conscious of them but without those marks I wouldn’t have the most important things in the world to me... I would not have two of the people that help to define me and make me the sexy mumma bear I am today!

GermanBurrito....no mention has been made of fitness levels. One doesn't have to be svelte to be fit. And you're wrong to assume that ALL mum/dad bod holders have got that way from being unhealthy..... there's other factors that contribute to one's body mass. I see many "skinny" women at the gym everyday that can't lift more than a protein shake or last longer than 10mins on a treadmill.

Awesome topic. Esp great hearing from the men’s point of view. I started using Mum-bod in my bio when a lot of guys approaching me were 10-15yrs younger (still not sure what that’s about) and it concerned me that prob not having partnered someone through child bearing they weren’t being realistic about what this does to a body and that very few of us get thru looking like a trim MILF. Mostly I wanted to avoid being accused of false advertising as clothed it can be hard to tell what you’re really getting😆 To their credit it does seem that men genuinely aren’t concerned with a hot body as much as with a sexy attitude, pushing boundaries and having some fun in sack. 😘

I totally agree with Fiesty.....I have been going to the gym with a single mum (we met at the gym - in a fitness group) and she is fit and has a mum bod too......I can also say that when we play......usually after the gym when we are both not working, she is fantastic in the sack. She loves the fact that I am not perfect either, and she does give any attention to any of the guys with the rocking 6pack abs, wide shoulders and pecks of steel. It is really not her thing and she feels that the guys that go to the gym that are fit but have a dad bod (like me) are far more attractive to her as she finds them more compatible to her look feel, attitude and mind set. This lady is a hot little pocket rocket and beautiful both inside and out, and I love being with her.....her mum bod and all

As a Male very much with a “Dad bod” I have to admit to still having plenty of concerns as to why someone would be interested in this shape rather than the one I had at 25. I know it’s a combination of too much airport / hotel food and not enough exercise, but I’m totally blaming the fact I’m on the other side of 40... But at the same time I guess I’m always amazed at why so many women I talk to don’t see themselves as beautiful ... I guess we all see and are the worst critics of our own flaws. I have always found that the little imperfections add character, journey marks, signs of life experience rather than flaws. And each of those journey marks are likely to translate into life experiences that I want to learn about as I get to know you, they are signs that you have stories to tell and tales to share, and that hopefully we will have lots to talk about besides the weather :) AJ

I'm loving the replies to my post, thank you to everyone who has contributed. Yes, there were a couple that made me snort and raise an eyebrow but I can see largely those have been dealt with by others. In particular, to the women who have revealed such incredibly personal insights into their lives and to those men who wrote about the mother of their children, thank you. I desperately wanted to reply to so many posts and will just mention a few people here, apologies it isn't using the 'quote' formatting; 'boobs_or_bust' - "... many have dad bods well before they are dads from drinking and eating and partying to excess, women on the other hand go through a hell of a lot before and after the birth and have no choices in their body changes" Thank you Mr B, that's a really interesting observation and a great point! Interesting then how the dad bod has become socially acceptable. 'everybodybutyou' - "I've got a mum bod. I'm not a "big" woman, underweight at the moment thanks to my thyroid, but my A cups sag ... scars from c sections and hysterectomy ... when I gain my weight back I'll also have a tummy and cellulite" Everybodybutyou, thank you for the reminder that mum bods come in all shapes and sizes! 'greeneyes12' - "I have hail damage (cellulite for those not in the know)." Greeneyes may I steal that phrase please! I must have left my body out in a hail storm a couple of times! 'Stevie_V' - "Have faith, plenty of boys and men love a yummy mummy" Stevie, another term I might just steal. I love the thought of being a yummy mummy (a real one, not those plastic fantastics on TV lol!). 'SSExplorer' - "... having witnessed 2 births rather late in life I really have come to love different things about a woman’s body. When I was young it was all the perfect bits but now it’s all the little life modifications that seem to mean more. Mrs S now hates certain parts of her mum bod and will hardly let me see those parts but I adore every bit, to touch a soft belly where two beautiful souls were nurtured to life fills me with warmth and I have never felt more intimate than with post baby sex." and'2inahammock' - "As I aged and matured, attraction took on different forms. That belly that grew our 4 sons, is now one of her features I adore the most. ... That same body that gives me warmth in the middle of the night as she snuggles into me. ... sometimes at the end of the day, as we crawl into bed, that same mum bod takes me inside her, blows my mind, leaves me in awe, content and breathless. She makes me wonder how someone so beautiful can sometimes be so dirty?! We should all be so lucky" Way to go Mr SSExplorer and Mr 2inahammock. What amazing men you are with those beautiful attitudes. And lastly Greeneyes, thank you for your comment which really goes to the heart of my question about dad bods and mum bods. Thank you. 'greeneyes12' - "Guys get out there and proudly show off their “dad bod” because society has accepted it as the norm, unfortunately society has double standards and women with “mum bods” are just seen as repulsive and unhealthy because we haven’t regained our prebaby bodies. Women are body shamed rather than giving our amazing mum bods the credit they deserve for bringing life into this world. I’m hoping and looking forward to the day our mum bods get the recognition and love they’ve worked so hard to deserve"

We are all different and mum's bods you earnt it and gave life to beautiful children. You are beautiful and we all have insecurities about our bodies or something we don't like. At 52 I don't give a F#!*K now what people think curves, scares, flaws etc. Mum's bods, we've gone thru periods, child birth, menopause now, so embrace your body. Dad's bods are the same we all age, change shape. Live your life enjoy your sexuality. X

Mum Bods, There's a song by John Legend that I serenade Mrs Couplakiwis with when we are driving together called "All of Me" Partially Quoting SuperFoxxxy "Love your curves and all your edges All your perfect imperfections" Mum bods to me are like Honey to a Bee, they are simply gorgeous. Oh when I'm finished singing she removes the ear plugs 😜😜

I see it as stages in a guys life verse the physical changes a womans body typically experiences. I had the dad bod. Then decided to change that sure there was a lot of effort required. Pretty sure its not that simple for woman. For me its about attitude. I have had a partner that was drop dead gorgeous. Not that great to be with whereas i have had spectacular time with the mother of one. Buff

My body has changed after having three wonderful babies. 2 by c-section and one natural, no matter how much exercise I do I cannot get rid of the overhang of my c scar. I am self conscious of it but that doesn't stop me from being confident about my body during sex. Love your bodies

Oh i love this terminology for the womans body......NO MATTER YOUR SHAPE OR SIZE, WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL JUST AS WE/YOU ARE...Be Proud of Yourself and Love Yourself just as YOU are.... I myself have had 2 Children who pushed my body to its very limit & then some in more ways than 1... Prior to having my kids i was a very petite kind of lady and I remember I used to be happy with my very small size back then, But since having my children I have really learnt what it really means to LOVE YOUR BODY and I absolutely 100 percent do love the body i am now in...... NOW i know what it means to fully be really happy with my body..... Yes I work out but that is not just for the body it's also GREAT for the mind... Plus as a busy woman/Mum i make it MY time that is solely JUST FOR ME in a world that revolves around me keeping everything else operational.......... * I have never thought anyone one person is what we should all set our goals to because NO ONE PERSON is perfect so who is to say what a person's body should or shouldn't look like? BE HAPPY IN YOUR OWN SKIN.

Quoting 'buff44' For me its about attitude. I have had a partner that was drop dead gorgeous. Not that great to be with whereas i have had spectacular time with the mother of one. Buff My last ex happened to be a very good-looking guy in fantastic shape, and could easily pass for a decade younger (and he willingly did so too). He wasn't a very nice person to be with, it turned out. I'll take character over looks any day.

I prefer a great personality over a type of body. Sure a hot body can grab your attention but so does a confident guy that treats people well. It’s not all about looks. I definitely have the mum bod. I originally started CrossFit with the goal to lose weight and have those crossfit thighs. These days I’m more interested in building strength and improving the functional movement of my body as those are so important as we age. Ive gotten to used to the looks of surprise and skepticism from people when they find out I do crossfit. I wouldn’t say I love my body just yet but I’m more at ease with it then I was a few years ago.
