Hi everyone. We have never been to this venue and we are not sure how big it is so could someone tell us if there is a designated area where we are going to meet or do we just wander around? I hope there is some dancing partners out there because hubby doesn't like to dance too much.

LOL They dont know who I am either, and it wont get you anything special lol ...but they will direct you to where we are.. They have allocated us a booth...... which are all located down the left hand side of the venue as you face the stage....and i have a bag of red balloons (thanks Ruby).......i might even blow them up !!!

A few of us girls may be looking and feeling like the walking wounded but I am sure we would happily join you in a nudie run! We havent done one of those through the forums for a while now.....lol . The bags are packed and we are looking forward to seeing some sun in Melbourne. We have had soooooo much rain here over the last few months. Off to the football on Friday night and on Sunday morning we are doing a 10k fun run so don't wear me out too much on the dance floor.

usually whatever happens at forums drinks night, stays at forums drinks nights....lol . Ok, so some light hearted ribbing carries over to the forums the next day.... See page one and two of this post, it may give you some idea of the evening, generally as the name says....Its a Meet & Greet drinks night. . What ever you get up to with whom ever you meet there is up to you. There are many who are nervous about attending their first night.....we were all in your shoes once, but dont let that worry you..... you are more than welcome to come along by yourself. I can assure you will leave knowing many new friends. :)

Just spoke with out darling missb around 9.30 am this morning...... and she asked me to let everyone know she is ok. . Still in Emergency, nothing broken, pumped full of the morphine, green whistles, valium and a couple of sips of champas.......feeling a touch easier as the muscles continue to go a little crazy. . Just waiting for the physio and hoping he/she is cute. . She sends a big thankyou to everyone :) Hopefully sassyme is still asleep after her emergency room vigil, funloving made it home safely....and Blackstilettoes was last seen clutching missbs shoes for comfort as I dropped her back at her hotel for some much needed sleep aroung 1.30ish this morning. . Mr.Seduction Rules....such a gentelman....spending all that time in the ladies loos with us....:) missb said its not your fault & thankyou...... . Next Melbourne drinks night is expected to be held in the park opposite The Alfred Hosptial.... that way, there will be less down time transporting accident victims to emergency, the drinking and dancing can just continue.....

The old saying.....accidents happen..... It was all due to the aftermath of the Oxfam walk....showing off missing toenails and back to earth with a thud and lots of *ouch*. . missb is most upset that she missed partying with everyone.... uptil then it was a typical drinks night, just warming up, the guys mainly standing round checking out the girls, the girls all having fun catching up with each other, meeting the newcomers. Big thumbs up to Denno who travelled by train from Ballarat and had to leave early to catch the last one home

....goss????? / lets see the barmen at red bennies know how to make a dirty martini - yummy, . people travelled form far and wide to attend - sydney, tassie, queenelsand, newcastle, perth.... . jensta sure knows how to shop... Melb has the friendliest people (and some awesome kissers ) . missB is ok - thank goodness was worried about her.... . the receptionist at my Motel should be avoided at all costs - the room and location was fabbulous but my early check in wasnt organised as requested a week earlier and then my 7am cab for this morning wasnt booked - some poeple lol . and my 5 way split personality was in fine form . A special thankyou to the lovely couple I had dinner with....Jensta for showing me a great time all afternoon...and the lovely young gentleman who escorted me back to my motel at what time was that this morning?????? . Thanks for a great night people - next time I think I should try and stay in town a bit longer than 24 hrs (and people that was literally) . Kisses Focus

I hope that get well soon and that you are up and about again in the near future. Yes, I got home safely and surprisingly quickly too. < Sassy, nice to meet you to would've been nice to chat some more but didn't want to interupt the deep discussions you were in with your friends. What time did you end up leaving the hospital? I had to leave early sorry as I was getting the biggest headache from being in those stuffy toilets for so long! < Ruby, lovely to meet you last night...you make me laugh girl! Was great to be in the "smokers chambers" with you to have a good chat and get to know you more. < Stilettos hun, what can I say...you are one of the nicest people I have ever met and so warm and caring and funny as all hell lol. Had a great time hanging off your coat tails last night hehe, thanks for being so nice and understanding about me not knowing anyone there. < Focus, was great to meet you last night...I could pick you out in a line up, your pic is exactly you...so pretty too! It was great of you to hold the fort and stay till the end when the girls and I left to go to the hospital. Miss B was in such fine form last night and ready to be hostess with the mostess to all who can along again and some newbies too.. Unfortunately her toenails (or lack there off) caused her to land on her back and the lovely Ruby has let everyone know what took place from there .She is now on the mend thank goodness and looks forward to our next soiree. Next time we will book the balcony area and have more privacy and room to get to know each other more ... But please ... no green whistles, no ambulance calls, no sitting in ED until 530, please :) When shall we plan the next one Sassy xx

Wow what an evening.........I chose Red Bennies so I wouldnt have to provide the entertainment of blowing up condoms on my head or playing strip pool........I hope everyone had a great time and enjoyed the circus act...there was a circus act wasnt there ?????The ambos were cute ???????? why didnt someone tell me so i could have flirted with them .........LOLTHANK YOU so so much for being there for me girls.....Sassy Ruby Shoes Funlovin and Mr Seduction....and that security gaurd.....I didnt swear did I ? Touched down in Newy, clear skies, birds are singing, sunshine oh yeah Thank you Melbourne for the lovely weather I must say! MissB is on her way to a speedy recovery, what a soldier in many ways that one!!! What a weekend, wow.. Absolute brilliant venue, we actually ate and it was great, beautiful beverages, great entertainment. Very nice eye kandy and conversations. Yes was a great catch up with the girls. Fantastic venue MissB, congratulations. Well then there was a fall....oh heck...Yes guards were pretty hot, letalone paramedics, mmm the young one hot! Getting MissB a green stick for christmas lol.. Funloving you are a doll!!!! We had our conversations. You know you are special to me. Thank you for driving me to the hospital and staying with us. Funloving, awsome chick...thank you lovely..and thank you for your compliments and taking me to hospital, chasing Ambulance lol. Thank you Ruby for dropping me back to accomodation...was great to catch up with you again, you special lady. Focas & I kept it alive! I got to be honest! No good Man talent! Very disappointed! LMFAO One of those Men was warned! you deserved what you got! POW!POW! Just wanted to say thanks to the guys who DID turn up who said they were attending. Well MissJensta, it was a brief visit from you and I understand your feedback, still a brief time with you is a always a good time. I think next time for identifying who is at rhp party, perhaps we should tie red ribbons on wrists or ankles...bags doing that!!!!! Would anyone be interested in a Newcastle Drinks Night??? or should I do a separate post. I would love to host a Newy Drinks Night....red ribbons, red balloons and perhaps red drinks...I know a perfect outlet and the publican and they have accommodation and close to town for the brave. Can I be so bold as to suggest next drinks at O'Sullivans in Essendon around the middle of July? Great eye candy for the girls and guys (especially us girls as the guys on here are all talk and don't show up)! They have a great band there (covers) up the back of the venue and we could all meet at the front of the Venue where it is quieter! There is no charge to get in before 10pm! For those that want to chat they can stay at the front and the ones that want to dance or watch the band...they can meander down to the back! xFunlovingx

Nightclubs are great but not for Meet & greet! if thats the case we may as well go to our own locals! Its about getting together chatting laughing and having fun! I do go clubbing trust me! not alot of chatting goes on! Music pumping! and lots of dancing! I say back to the Union hotel....keep it to is original so its fair to all! xxx

So sorry girls - have been off line recovering from my first dose of Melbourne Whisky!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Much stronger than in Tassie - was truly painful at work Monday, but thankyou to all of you so much, can't believe what a great bunch of women I met and would love to stay in contact. would love to come to a drinks night, they sound fun except the dramas! Hope Miss Bowpeek is on the road to recovery. and I am sure everyone has a great time, but if I have had a big night eg overindulged in a few drinkies, do we need reminding. I for one dont like to be reminded as I know how to behave with or without alcohol and get quite embarrassed when someone mentions it.

Alas it is closed undergoing renos...and opening as a destination dining adventure.........not quite what we are looking for.What if we secured the balcony area of Red Bennies ??Then we would all be in one place and easier to find one another ?Fridays are good cause they have a burlesque theme with semi naked women on stage..... all very tastefully done.Did everyone enjoy the entertainment on saturday night ??????? (Somehow I was having my own entertainment in the girls toilet....not in a fun way either lo)lOr we could head into the City if that suits all ?? Marekesh is swanky as is The Spice Market.........the girls will have to do some research before june/julyI wonder if they serve champagne ......only one way to find outsomebody stop me from belly dancing !!!! lol

Not that I didnt enjoy the music but some commented to me throughout the evening that while the venue was great (and it is) they couldnt hear the people they were talking to...for many part of the reason for going to a drinks night is to meet and talk with other like minded people...they dont want to shout to be heard - and not just by the person they are talking to but everyone else around also.... . I wonder if Abode would allow a section to be kept aside for a meet and greet on one of their quiet nights? I've been to birthday parties there where they have done that... I think the last one there was a door charge but you were given the money back as a drink once inside.
