I think work affairs are always doomed for trouble. It interferes with ... work. Someone always gets pissed off... and then the work environment is spoilt... if there's bad blood over it when the interest stops. If he works in the same department or section then as stalky says it could cause trouble if things are not as good as both would like. The same troubles could happen if it all goes too well and no work gets done. . If he works at the same place but in a different department or section, especially if on a different floor and they do not see each other for their normal work duties then it might be ok as it would be easy to avoid each other if things got uncomfortable. ..
