And see. I have been in nearly every tiny little hick town in NSW and some that are not so tiny while working in the sheds. Tell me what you want in the way of a town and I will find one for you. Give me your list of requirements, must haves and must not haves. Apart form single males of course as Sydney has the majority f them anyway. Hmmm do I detect Focus' hand in this?

I actaully suggested somewhere near you Fionabee ...knowing some of Roxxy's requirements your area of the world seemed best suited...though where the single men are concerned now I think she needs to move in down the road...lol . Kisses Focus

no wasnt Focus' doing...its been on the cards for awhile lol i only have every second weekend now because the kids go to their dads...if i move the kids wont be going to their dads, so that means no free time for men any more...so it doesnt need men haha just somewhere nice enough to raise a family for me and the kids big enough but not too big and far enough away i can hide if i need too any ideas??? roxxy

In Victoria definately....outside of Ballarat is beautiful...there is a town out that way called Clunes...absolutely gorgeous and only about an hour out of Melbourne! But, most importantly....only 30 minutes from me! xFunlovingx

Rose, don't pay attention to the girls, they try to woo you to their claws :-)Having moved a few times I would really recommend to travel around a bit first, you will find something - it depends on what you like doing. I know here we all like sex but you need to make a living also (I wish the two could go together :-)If you need a specific emplyment area go for that first - there is plenty around Albury but then if you like to visit big city we're far from all of them... plenty of opportunities for sports though ...BTW - Ballarat is far too cold, but compared to Tassie would be fine

Been here 4 years now. We get random traffic infringments in the mail. Booked for doing 2 kays over. A Friend of mine got a parking ticket waiting at traffic lights in his car!!!! Victoria is the most infringed state in Australia twice the revenue of NSW. I want to go home oh! and almost forgot .... and squeeze your nipple!

Ba ha ha ha ha. Yes NSW can be an expensive state to live in but being a single parent, Roxy gets free car rego, rebate on electricity and phone, rental assistance as well as four free state rail tickets to destination of choice each year. Health care card as well so she gets free medical and dental for those that bulk bill as well as prescription drugs pretty cheap. I know that housing rentals can be the biggest killer here but that is where State housing comes into play as well. here are ways around things.

Take a look at Ballarat, Roxy...put a pin on the map and go out about 20-30kms and look at the choices around there. | The other thing...the hub of the medical district is there and they have facilities second to none in Oz. They get the benefits of a couple of very big foundations and really impressive...and let's face it, kids and doctors seem to go hand in hand. | The city is just big enough that it's slightly north of dullsville...but you are within easy reach of Melboring and the property prices are still well within range of most. | Good luck.

Roxxy.. If you want to live near the ocean, definately nsw north coast, too cold in Victoria. There are so many nice places near the ocean in nsw. Country Victoria is nice..Albury/Wodonga is a good suggestion, and it is an easy drive to Melbourne. But in all truth, why would u want to go to those horrible Places..Move to Perth..!!

Actually when you get a speeding fine they already take off the percentage allowable...which used to be 10% but not sure what it is now (I know its lower)....so the 2k's that they show is MINUS the percentage they took off for error of speedo/radar! As for the parking ticket waiting at traffic lights? The lights must have turned green and they must've been waiting for someone to jump in the car. It takes to long to punch out a ticket ... alot longer than a change of lights! xFunlovingx

Personally I think Country Vic is better than Country NSW but I guess I am biased. It would partly depend on your interests and also on whether you are renting or buying. What age are the kids, what activities do they enjoy and what facilities and industries are available to them close by, what are the schools nearby like etc. I could give you a pretty good run down of most places around Ballarat and Bendigo but there are some towns I would advise to NOT go to but would prefer not to say them here for fear of upsetting some people! Being within 20-30 minutes of a major regional city has huge advantages and also future opportunities for the kids though some have very limited public transport. So many things to think about and look into. Best to take a holiday and have a good look around, speak to as many people as possible, then decide afterward. The last place I would want to have to live in some towns is state housing, yet some areas are not too bad. I agree with Funloving that Clunes is nice, but then other places such as Daylesford, Castlemaine, Creswick etc. are also nice. If you like beach look down Geelong way. Take a holiday, catch up with some of your friends on here and go looking would be the best advice I could give.
