If a man is doing the cooking it will be an aphrodisiac in itself...especially if he volunteers for cleanup duty as well. Even better if he can cook something edible that does not come out of a can or the freezer as I am rather fond of fresh and raw food No slouch in the kitchen myself, I do have the worlds best brownie recipe. Eating one is almost an orgasm anyway. Light the candles, share a glass of wine and good conversation, I find it isd not the food that does the trick, but the man doing the cooking. Tell me...do you wear one of those frilly little aprons and nothing else?

OMG..so very yummy - off to find my copy of the recipe now....mmmm . As for a man in my kitchen he better only be there to get another drink or indulge in some playtime otherwise I am likely to get cranky with you and say GET OUT!!! Its my kitchen and mine only...lol...I love to cook...not a bad one either I might add...and have been known to kick others out of their kitchen so I can cook... . Food that gets me going...GOOD food...anything freshly prepared...mmmm...love seafood....love casseroles...love good food in general... . Kisses Focus

Had to laugh at brownies as I have a 2nd edition Betty Crocker cookbook from the 1950's that is a bit of a family heirloom. The page for making brownies from scratch has little chocolate fingerprints all over it with a penciled note "Steve-age 8" ...which is about the time I started getting messy in the kitchen. | They are even good...after they are baked.

I'm obsessed with food. Perfect flavour and texture combinations can send me straight to my happy place. Ice-cream, cheese, pizza and spicy aromatic Asian dishes are my favourites. But it is a strictly 'food' happy place. Food and sex don't mix for me. It's either/or. Both deserve my full concentration. I once ate 3 dozen oysters in a single sitting and didn't think of sex at all. (Focus, I'm a competent but not great cook and I'm happy as can be when my kitchen gets commandeered by someone who can do a better job than I can)

Just reading your post did it for me ;)For me someone putting effort into what they cook for you is hot - whether it's amazing, or they are just really really proud of it!!Strangely maybe...good blue cheese makes my brain do all the fun stuff,(especially when paired with halved strawberries!), very dark chocolate in small quantities, and any well composed vegetarian meal (particularly when made by a non-vego), Good olives!! Oh - and Jeremy's truffle, mushroom and scallop risotto. The man got me to eat seafood after 11yrs or so of not eating anything but veggies. Get onto it ladies!!! It's amazing!!

Quoting 'irresponsibility' I'm obsessed with food. I once ate 3 dozen oysters in a single sitting and didn't think of sex at all. Interesting...stuffed oysters are a speciatly, and think there may be a restaurant over your way that does something similar. Not quite...but close. | Julienne zucchini and carrots. Set aside. | Large pan combine fresh cracked pepper, butter, fresh squeezed lemon, freshly pressed garlic and finely chopped bacon, heat until bacon begins to brown slightly and reduce to a very low heat. | Absolutely fresh oyster...you know the kind, with the oyster still rounded at the top and shiney. Not those day old flat ones that look dull. | On the half shell, lift the oyster and don't spill the juice, add a mix of the zucchini and carrot, replace the oyster. | Scoop a proper mix of the sauteed garlic and bacon lemon butter into the shell, not quite full. | Top with fresh broken croutons and plenty of freshly grated parmesan cheese. | Here's the coup...cook them on an hood bar-b-que until the sauce and juice is boiling and the cheese begins to melt and brown just slightly. The half shell with sputter and pop a bit but no harm done. The flavour pick up from the bar-b is magnificient. | Let cool slightly and serve with little wedges of lemon on a plate full of rock salt to balance the oysters and nothing spills out. | My personal best is 2 dozen...but they are almost a meal unto themselves. Don't know if I think of sex after...maybe more like a good relaxing conversation over a glass of your favourite. Of course, that's not saying I don't think about sex all the time anyway. | Bon apetite'.

I have to agree, it's not the type of food itself but how it's presented. If it's been made especially for you, thumbs up :)No stodgy foods please because carbs make me fall asleep and that obviously won't help the cause :|

It doesn't matter what you end up cooking as long as the ingredients are fresh. In this hot weather I love a well prepared Chicken Caesar Salad. Or if the evening is a little cooler a Thai curry is always nice. The only problem is I would probably end up in the kitchen with you as these are my favourite dishes to make. For dessert I think ice cream and real chocolate or for the diet conscious a plate of fresh cut fruit pieces with a little lite cream to dip them in.

I am the keeper of the recipes for the family. If anyone is looking for a recipe I get rung as I have both my grandmother's and my great grandmothers books in posession. Both well worn books. Ones that have pound cakes...1 lb butter, 1 lb, flour, 1 lb sugar 12 eggs type of thing. Nifty little household hints such as setting the fire under the copper the day before washing day and using stove black. Wonderful pics of some early ovens. Oysters Steve? I like mine au naturel and 2 dozen is an easy snack.

Quoting 'mikeandshel'food as an aphrodisiac? yea maybe. But as Shel just said to me "fuck on a full stomach? no way" you dont get sex after a meal out in our house, lol. Hahaha yep we are the same:-) Made this mistake last weekend...went to dinner (Italian...the most delectible pasta) then dressed up for a dance party after...All my photos looked terrible cos my belly was makin my corset stick out funny. Opps! But light flavours...as hubby pointed out I had had my orgasam already that night when I had my Gorgonzola, pear, walnut & rocket salad....Wow! So for sexy food I look for flavour fusions...especially sweet & savory together. Mrs H xx

I do agree that nothing beats fresh...and even living in the suburbs of the city manage a small herb garden as those flavours are magic. Too, I still shop in the shops in the little specialty markets and of course the Vic Market when I can get there. It pays to know a butcher, green grocer and a seafood merchant well...and it's fun. | You are right...eating not unlike swimming, some activities need about an hour to recover from but there is nothing wrong with using that time to talk and build suggestively to dessert. The entire meal...does not have to be served at once. I like the idea of a progressive meal, the entre' with a break...followed by the main, with a glass of cognac...and finally dessert. | The heavy comfort foods are a delight on a cold winter's night...and in all things moderation. I learned that both from the Norwegian heritage blood line and on my travels to South America. Although I do prefer the many textures and aromas of both North and South Indian food and the amaing smells of a kitchen gone cajun. | Salads are never boring...one of my favourite summer salads is a mix of fresh baby spinach leaves, tomatos, avocados, cucumbers. walnuts and fresh mango....topped with a spicy red chili prawn and warm sauce prepared quickly in the kitchen. And not heavy at all. | Chocolate...be as creative as you like, and a mixture of slightly glazed rhubarb and strawberries put in tray then frozen to be dipped in a warm dark Dutch chocolate before serving, now that is an aphrodisiac! Of course a chocolate fondu' can simply be served in bed! | Domina T...that is the most ridiculous think I have ever heard! Who in their right mind would risk getting anything on their clothes when all you really need is an apron "borrowed" from a restaurant in New Orleans. And as for the rest... ...have pans, will travel.
