Such a fascinating word to me. I think most people who use it, absolutely understand it's general power to humiliate women.I have always been very sexually adventurous, and flirty, even as a child. Apparently, I was precocious and liked the company of men. I do like men, and I really enjoy sex. I consider myself provocative but ultimately fairly vanilla. I like one on one sex, (I am a germaphobe so group sex scares me,) but I don't have any strong kinks, and don't do drugs. I'm relatively boring really . That said , I have a fabulous "real" life, with many sucesses, my sex life is a small part of who I am, but I could not suppress it if I tried. (I tired being normal ( not swinging) for 4 years, it was the most miserable time of my life. I felt like I was living someone elses life) My love of men and my healthy appetite for sex does not always sit well with other women in my life, it seems to make them very uncomfortable. My normal friends do not know we swing, but I still talk about sex to them. If we have a bbq and the topic turns to something sexual, I will be cheeky, open and animated, I enjoy those conversations a lot and also find sexuality interesting. We do not openly live a swingers lifestyle, my women friends just think I am "too into sex"I am unsure if it is confronting to them , that I like sex a lot, and they perhaps feel they should like it more, or if it is a mere judgement issue, the underlying sentiment is , me enjoying sex like a man, is some how wrong or "slutty" Recently I had an encounter in the chat room, with a woman I do not know, who was angry over me being naked and fucking on web cam, and called me a slut :) It is not the first time a random woman in chat has called me a slut .I am not offended ( too old and thick skinned) , and pay the person who commented no real mind time. I am just curious how you can be here , out of all the places on the internet to land, choose to click on "adult chat " . Open cams where you see men wanking and read text full of people talking dirty, but still feel it is the right thing to call out a naked woman on cam and think of her behavior as wrong?On a website for swingers and sexually adventurous people, there is still judgement, especially towards women that we can be sexy, just not "too sexy" , don't fuck "too often", and don't be "too sexually different" Ladies - Have you ever been called a slut? How do you feel about the word?Men - If you have called someone a slut before - what was your reasoning for it?

    I am a slut and so is my boyfriend. It just means we are "promiscuous". Well, that's what we are. I don't find it offends my character saying that I'm promiscuous. I'm quite comfortable with that idea after all these years. What you could be offended by us the tone in which that word is used in reference to you. Abstinence is a virtue they say, whereas I think it's a waste of a good opportunity to enjoy yourself. People who think being a slut is derogatory to ones character don't know how to enjoy themselves sexually. I pity them. Hugs Stalky

    I'll happily describe myself as slutty but if someone calls me a 'slut' it's usually the intent behind the word that makes me feel a bit sorry for the sourpuss and makes me assume her life is as bitter and awful as she is. *shrug* I'm with stalky, spare no more than a second to pity the haters and live your life to the fullestxx Sarah

    As someone cute and funny once said....."Bitches be crazy" and they are......especially if you look like you're having a better time than they are. Lift your hand to your mouth, put your tongue in your cheek and give them the cock-sucking sign, flick your hair over your shoulder and strut over to have a beer with the boys.....that way you can talk about sex without judgement.

    I to am amazed someone decides to sit a adult chat room and judge WTF ? I was only just pondering the slut question, as I wanted to introduce my friend to this site in hope of spices up her sex life. I have found being here such an exploration and learning experience and had only just thought how I would have been a person to judge sluts, but that was before my new found womanly freedom.I often imagine telling my ex all the things I enjoy now I never did with him. the list is so long would love to see his face and then I would hear the retalliation............SLUT........Good on me.The one thing I envy delicious is a woman who knows what she wants and goes about getting that.     Firstly, we were amazed how someone on this site could even use the "S" word at all! Especially in a chat room where you know promiscuity is the order of the day. If you don't want to watch someone's web cam then don't. Why click on it in the first place if you weren't curious to see what was happening. Heaven forbid if an orgy was going on, then we wonder what word would have been used then! lolBut getting back to the "S" word, I (Mrs T) was at our first party a couple of weekends ago, and wondered if I was thought of in that way. I was asked if I would start the party going, and it looked liked no one else was going to make the move, so I amazed myself and did. I was enjoying myself immensely, but when I took a breather, I then reflected on the "S" word. OMG what if other people here thought that I was a "slut" for having enjoyed myself. "Me" being the new woman on the scene. But then I spoke to a few people and my fears were put to rest.From a woman's point of view, I feel it is the connotations behind the use of the word and if it was said in malice. Is it "slutty" for a woman to have a good time then? I think not! So to all those women who do enjoy having a sexually good time, keep it up and forget what other "small minded" people have to say as they are only jealous!

    ahhh the illusion of cyber sex , did you see the other woman? If there was a woman do you think that same woman would come up to you and say it to your face,me thinks not. People have been calling me a slut since I was 13. And I had my cherry in tactus till I was 18. It used to hurt me like hell when I was growing up. Men and boys who I did not even know would try and grab at me.     ...other than in jest or as a fun sort of compliment to someone who's sexuality I really do enjoy. It's like the "c" word but I just haven't figured out anything as clever as "See you next Tuesday" as a substitute...hey, maybe "So long you tart" would work? | By the way, I'm a tart not a slut...there is a difference.

    Like beneath blue eyes, I too have had a "to do list cos I haven't" and yeah my ex would never believe the truth of my grand adventures since becoming single! I feel liberated and totally in tune with my own wants and needs. The power to say no, the power to say yes! Indeed it is the oppressed that point the finger! They know they are too weak to break the mould of conformity and so get there false feeling of power from chopping you down. They are sad immature souls who still have a great deal of learning to do!     Midnight! You Cunwa!! How the hell are you! Yep I just called you a variant of the c word. It came about when my friend retaliated to some guy's remarks at a BBQ. There were kids around so she shouted "see you next week hey!" totally stuffing up the Tuesday bit. So someone else goes "what's that a CUNWA" pronounced cun-wah.     I absolutly hate the word!!! I have been called a "slut" since my teenage years i was very experimental in my younger years and was often called it by the "prudish" girls. I didnt take it to much to heart back then guess i was just having to much fun to really care what others thought it only mattered what i thought. I dont believe that just because a woman loves sex and is open about her sexuality makes her a slut. Guys also use this word to their advantage or just to be plain old cruel my ex for example knew this was the 1 word he could call me and i would literally fall to pieces cause i knew that i was far from it (so did he) but he admits now he did it to hurt me cause if he had of called me a bitch i would have laughed and told him he was right lol.

    Thanks for your post , it resonated with me :) I cant NOT web cam! :) I am an exhibitionist its what gets me off. Ive been proudly showing my vagina to the world since 1996, that masturbatory habit it too hard to break now!     For me and my mates growing up " slut " is a word used for a sexy, stunning attractive female. If one of us said this word, it meant look as she is hot... So when I use it I need to be careful as it can be taken out of context, but it's a compliment But saying that I know people here who love to be called a slut and get off being categorized under this heading. I don't think people should judge as it's no one else's business

    funnily enough i never use the "slut" word in a sexual content.and would never use it against a woman.   mind you i use the slut word everyday. haha   as a designer, when i come up with an inspiring layout etc i call it porn then qualify that by saying "and i really slutted up your ensuite for you, i think you'd like it". but thats just me.

    I for one hate the term. Its demeaning to women. Women get labelled a slut while men get high fives....I have been called a slut number of times by my housemate of all people and he meant it in the worse possible way. He could never score with women, while i have men bashing down the door ( not every night but i do have offers), He is just a hater and anyone who uses the "s" word are just jealous of what us women have xxButterfly

    In their excellent book 'The Ethical Slut'Easton and Listzt say an ethical slut is a person of any gender who has the courage to lead their life according to the radical proposition that sex is nice and pleasure is good for you{indeed swallowing cum may be the cure for the common cold, contains phagocytes!!>.They use this term to signify a person who is accepting of their enjoyment of sex and the pleasure of intimacy with others and who choose to engage and accept this in a way which is ethical and open rather than cheating.I think the origins of thinking in a negative way about sexually liberated and expressive women is still tied to the notion that monagamy is our natural state when quite obviosly it is not!!

    A rose by any other name...as Shakespeare put it. I will happily wear the slut tag, not because I am promiscuous but because I am seen to be so. If some vanilla prude calls me a slut I start by feeling pity that the person is not comfortable enough with their own sexuality to take full advantage of it and end by feeling good because I got the reaction I set out to achieve. If you put yourself on display get ready for the barrage of criticism that follows. Don't take any of it to heart as most of it will stem from jealousy anyway. As long as you are enjoying yourself and doing what you want to do, ignore the naysayers and negative crap and go for it.

    That's the chat room for you...love the place but like anywhere in a social situation there's always going to be the wowsers I seriously think it probably was more to do with her own inadequecies/ jealousy then in anything you were doing on cam.Some people take it all way too seriously in the chatroom and nearly take "ownership" of people in there lol and wo betide anyone who happens to capture there object of affections attentions!!!.   I have a close male friend who likes to call me a "dirty rotten slut" I take it in the form it was intended with a wink a poke of my tongue and say " yes and it takes one to know one!" and we both have a laugh!

    I can honestly say I have never called a whore or a slut and have no current plans to do so as it is intended by most that use it as a derogatory term . yes this is a predominantly sexual and dating site but that is no reason to tolerate insults, slurs, taunts and personal attacks on any one . Rhp is a microcosm of society but we should strive to make it a better community without rudeness , insults and judgemental comments about members and visitors and to steal a quote "and thats all I have to say about that ".

    Think of the women some others call a slut.....often it is just a woman who knows what she wants, is happy to go out and get it, is open minded and enjoys sex. Sounds pretty perfect to me. I just keep remembering an old joke I ehard once years ago.   Q. Why don't men ever get called sluts?   A. It's a given, all men are sluts.   I don't get the double standard, why is it a "good" thing for a man to have some or a lot of sexual experience yet it to many if a woman has the same level of experience they seem to be referred to as a "slut". Strange though that it is usually a labela pplied to women by other women.   Mayber I am just confused :)

    The word's meaning is beyond promiscuous. It's actual definition is, "a dirty, slovenly woman; an immoral or dissolute woman; a prostitute". If called such a thing, I would have to ask the person how they came to such a conclusion. It's actually fun watching these dimwitted people try to formulate a compelling response.
