unless it's beyond my control. I'm more inclined to say I love fuckin you rather than I love you. And If it is said to me I wont respond with the same unless I really really mean it. xx

Not in a relationship now, but it's always me too. Even the one's I love who I'm never going to have a relationship with...Just relaised what a weirdo I am.Anyway, nothing wrong with saying it first if you mean it. :)

I'm always first too. I only ever say it when I mean it, never say it when I don't feel it and always say it without the expectation of reciprocation.

The first time I fell totally and completely in love with a woman - not my ex-wife, I might add. We were at the Baden-Powell hotel in Victoria Parade, sitting around the pool table. I leaned over to give her a kiss, looked her in the eye, and at that moment, we were completely in sync....we both said "I love you" together.

I never said it first either. It took me a good few months (last time) after he said it. I would never say it just to get what I wanted. If I tell someone I love them...I mean it!

A few years ago, I met this guy and after 4 days he said those words... lucky I was sitting down. A little while later he asked why I hadn't said it, I replied by saying I was not sure where I was at and that when I did say it, he would know I meant it. I think I was knocking the very high walls that I had up. The relationship didn't go the distance, for various reasons, but we still chat and he still loves me. I dont think for one minute he is in love with me. We share all the goings on in each other's life. He is now a male version of a close girlfriend. I can only say it when I mean it.

...for a special few. I'm not afraid to say it first or follow up with a dittoI'd never use it to get what I want but I might use a more generic:I love yous all!!!

Sarah that was bloody funny and I can even picture it, which is funnier. Him taking what he could get huh? . I've said it first before but its always like a shock realisation when it bursts out of me, " god I love you" oh geez I really do, where the hell did that come from but yes I meant it and I certainly didnt expect it back, heck I didnt expect to say it LOL

Mr J had just got back from the Olympics in Sydney with his gf and I had just told my husband at the time that he needed to find somewhere else to live... We met in the Pancake Manor in the city and after a lovely meal Mr J said it...

bring back the good old Sunday sessions! we met at one and about 3 or 4 months into our relationship he said it to me, in the midst of a little bit of morning glory.... he said "i love you" looking down at me and it took my breath away... we continued on with our morning glory which quickly became one of the most intense moments for me ever (at the time) which brought on a few tears of ecstasy (for me) when we came together shortly afterward.i couldn't reply at the time, but a few weeks later i let him know the feeling was indeed the same for me.still going strong 8 years later...ish
