  There's a club at Zillmere called NCIS & another at springwood called Mikes Place. We've been to both & had a lot of fun at both. - Posted from rhpmobile

  Wrestling it could be apt in some circumstances. Perhaps you could try private parties, take a look at the events in RHP ... there are sometimes, cruises, camping or holiday events which you might try. Just remember go at your own pace, be comfortable with just saying no, if things move quicker than you would like, but be open minded. The clubs are different every night you go, different groups, but there will usually be some 'regulars' who will generally make you feel very welcome when you first get there. So try a few on different nights till you get one you feel comfortable with. - Posted from rhpmobile

  Thanks youngfitchick, we've looked on Mikes Places' website and were interested to check it out, but hadn't hear of NCIS before, well have a look into it. Sir-stir is right meeka, we just want to visit and check it out once or twice, meet a few people and play once we've found our feet and met some people we like.   Diversions. Same suburb as mikes place.check out their webste for info. They rarely advertise events on here. They are having a bi night on July 4th...for those that are that way inclined.

  If you would be more comfortable in private gatherings, google SEQSparties. Brisbane private house parties. Held in homes. They have social meets and newbie events. More aimed at couples. Shoot them an email and Im sure they will give you some info and make you feel welcome to attend something aimed for new couples.

  We went there last night and had a lovely time. Friendly staff, good parking, lots of facilities, had some fun with a nice couple, if you just want to go along and have a look I'm sure you will be welcome

  depending on your requirements/standards the clubs and private parties are a waste of time In Our Opinion have been to a few! and will not return,,until we fall into the age group most commonly found at these venues have had some fun at these venues but only when we've prearranged to meet others to our liking...otherwise its been a rather creepy outing,,and we quickly bail out, and head into the valley for a dance but go check one or all out for yourselves,,you can always leave if you don't like it
