I started getting late night calls from a blocked number from someone who claiims he met me on here. I didn't recognise his voice as it was quite distinctly European so not sure who or how he got my number. He pranked me for 2 months. The last straw was when I was at my daughters school for parent teachers day and the immature knob called once again from a blocked number to tell me he wanted to 'lick my pussy'. I went to my mobile provider that afternoon and changed my number.Serious school boy behaviour.

Three SMS message no reply. After that it is stalking.Of course... guys can be persistent.... they do this because some idiots actually give in to that. You can't save a fool from herself.HugsStalky

Oh yes I have had trouble with stalkers from here a couple of times. Once it was from the male half of a couple who we had only just said hello too while we were out at an event. It made us feel quite sorry for his partner who had no idea what was going on and it was really an uncomfortable position we were in as to do we tell her or not!? Hubby has had a couple of female stalkers but that was in our outside life not from here. But stalkers are the real reason we don't really do the looking for single male thing, just had a few that seemed ok but just could not take no for an answer :(

If you have told them to back off a little and are still harassing you, you could get there number blocked from calling you..I don't think it's possible to block them from smsing you unfortunately!! Be very selective of who you give your number out too sometimes you can tell if they are a bit obsessive or stalkerish in the msn stage hahaha

It is a pity on a serious note ..these wankers spoil it for everyone with their behaviour..i am careful as to who gets my mobile number...ladies i do think you have to take it serious as you never know these randoms.. No if there was a special mace spray that could go through the phone..!!

I've had my share-In the past an ex who left me use to call me on private number and just listen to me saying "hello" repeatedly. That made me move towards having a private number no pick up policy but with a answering service at least so I dont miss an important call who's numbers are private - None in the emails and personal stalking that I know of, but who knows. All I can suggest is, especially people on RHP, dont reply or send messages to members who are firstly not verified and or also have no picture. Those who get a message and dont want the attention, a simple no thanks. and if they still to thick, then report and block them accordingly.

When you want them to stop contacting you but they won't, it's good enough reason to block them. Androids and iPhones and phones running Symbian have blocking apps that cover SMS too so you don't have to change your number and you never even have to know they tried to contact you. Blissful ignorance.xx Sarah

I have 2 phones...one for business/family and one for people I meet either out and about or over the net! That way if I get a stalker, I can just change my number....no biggie as I also back up my numbers to the handset so I don't lose the numbers of people I like to keep in contact with! If 2 phones is too much of a hassle...just don't reply at all and let it go to voicemail...if he sms's you...just don't reply...they usually get bored and move on to someone else...Good luck with it all Rah hun xox xFunlovingx

In that case, I would call up your phone company and see if it is possible to get him blocked totally even from sms hopefully it's possible...if you just stop replying all together no matter what he will eventually get the hint

There are several apps available if you have an Iphone to block calls and SMS. You can switch them on and off as required. Ast to stalking, if you said back off buddy and the contact continues, yup thats stalking. Lets

it varies depending on what kind of phone you have, mine's android and I don't know any of the iphone app names, but you could do a search for blacklist or contact blocker

well what CNG said, "When you want them to stop contacting you but they won't, it's good enough reason to block them. " In my experience whether it be in person, on email, phone, woteva, each time i've tried to play the nice guy and 'ENGAGE' back after a few no, no, no, no and NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! It is just adding fuel to the fire, my method of success (when i remember derr like to repeat mistakes?!) by acting as if you have Alzheimer's to all of those messages and when forced to comminicate face to face, act like you would talking to the mail man, with that Alzheimer's NOT forgotten about the forgotten messages... or something like that? or just pull your t-shirt over your head and perform Beavis and Butthead rants? P.S. Siren's butt OMG

Block call apps - I think that most of the apps require the iPhone to be jailbroken, so if you are fine with that there is mcleaner and iblacklist. They do cost about $20. Otherwise you could just get a silent ring tone and apply that to their number - at least that one is free :)

At the point when I get over 30 messages in one day from someone that's not a ongoing conversation I get worried cause it tends to develop into them finding out where you live, becoming mates with your mates, egging, prank calls and them somehow being at most places you go. I have changed my number a few times but find it if you just ignore them and they rant a serial killer they move on to some other poor person in a couple of weeks. Ya just have go stop yourself from giving into their craziness. *shakes head*

yep, I mistakenly gave my number to a girl off this site who, after telling me she was drunk and not able to make our meet (which was fine I said reschedule) proceeded to send over 20 sms over the next few hours, fluctuating between "gee could have used a friend tonight thought that was you", and "cock sucker" when I didn't say yes to going over, to "but I still want to meet you".. they ended at 11pm and started at 430am the next morning withi "yeah sorry about last nigth guess it wasn't our time I still want to meet".. I called the Police and Telstra who were both equally useless but at least they're monitoring her number now. She's still on this site too.. WTF is wrong with people.Serioulsy!
