smokers let downs

July 29 2010

I don't know if this one has been done before, if so i'll do it again. I was just wanting to get some feed back from my fellow smart rhp peeps. What would happen if you liked and spoke to other couples here that smoked and you arranged to meet up with them.Would you meet up with them for the intent on seeing where it goes or have no intention on doing anything because one or either of them smoke. Or do you just pass by there profile as soon as you see the they smoke. Because i think alot of poeple on here miss out on the possability of meeting a single person or a couple that could be what they are on here looking for and could rock there world.....let us know your thoughts on this cheers xxx ooo

yes, I am a smoker...successfully cutting down on the way to giving up. I know it is a filthy, disgusting habit.....but one I still enjoy at certain times. Having a coffee or drink are the hardest for me.....or a little nervous meeting someone for the first time.....if someone is a non smoker, I try my best not to have a cigarette while I am with them. I know that it has stopped certain men from meeting up with me. However....I have discovered an inbetween "cure" for my smoking.....keep my hands and mouth occupied! lol One thing that never seems to change though....at the Melbourne Meet & Greet drinks nights....the non smokers generally end up in the courtyard with the smokers......they say it is because we have more fun! Smoking areas are often filled with strangers who become smoke friends, it usually encourages conversation and lots of laughs.

Plenty of times it can be preetty dead in the pub, and a full on party in the smoking area. I am always bemused as to why the non smokers, who hate us smokers are doing out there crashing our party.I mean it clearly says "smoking area"Cheers Nev

Ok..this can be a touchy subject but for us we will not knowingly make a date with smokers...sorry but there is absolutely no difference between regular or light smokers. Those doing it may think so but to a non smoker we can pick up the stinky scent a mile away. This all being said, we admit that we have been in the situation out somewhere and we have met people who are smokers & we have really liked them and sometimes we will play..but it is extremely unpleasant unless they are sucking heaps of mints (which by the way should be mandatory at any swingers party..smokers or not). In recent months the only parties we have been attending are totally non smoking events (meaning, not a case of people refraining from their habit but smokers are not invited at all) & apart from the fresh air..the big difference we have noticed is there is no divided crowd. If fact hotel balconies and such are rarely used cos people want to interact with everyone there so the party goers are staying together which makes for much better parties and that can only be a good thing!!

So you don't smoke, good on you. Some people do smoke some people have sexual activities that don't appeal to you. Kooi doesnt smoke and walks away when she's exposed to it, but she doesn't judge people on that.

personally, I don't like the smell, how it clings to everything, their skin, hair, clothes, and worst the taste of smokers i find very unpleasant, it's on their skin, saliva and other body secretions, so yes, generally i wouldn't knowingly date a smoker.

Now there are some people who never wash their hair and love the greasy, flea infested dread look (yes I know you can also have clean dreads too), there are people who don't like water and avoid showers, there are people who think deodorant and perfumes are unnatural......then there are smokers!!!!!! Haha of course some of these are worse than others but they all stink!!!!

Well, I'm a smoker. And because I don't do anything by halves, I'm relatively dedicated to my cause. For now. Because it's an evil, expensive, sh*tty habit that I have recently decided I might like to give up.I appreciate my freedom to choose to be a smoker, and your freedom to choose to discriminate against me accordingly! However, let me say this. I suspect the only major negative my non-smoking lover would see about me being a smoker is lost time between the sheets while I sneak off for a quick ciggie break. Smoking takes up time best spent undertaking more productive and pleasurable pursuits!!

I'm a light smoker, I list myself as a light smoker and I can understand the hesitation or "rejection" from the strict non-smoking counterparts. But I wouldn't discount us smokers completely! I'm quite considerate and if we plan on meeting up with a non-smoking couple I will completely refrain from smoking unless they're cool in which case I'll always have mints, mini-mouth wash and perfume. I think couples should talk to the smoking parties about it because it doesn't need to come between good personalities and good times. My own partner is a non-smoker!And I must say I'm a little offended at the total disgust towards us smokers, it's not like we're shooting up. It's an unhealthy habit which we enjoy, it's a bit like drinking really.

People have the right to smoke, I don't begrudge them this right but the smell makes me gag. I wouldn't kiss a smoker for fear of gagging and I'm sure she would appreciate me not dry reaching mid pash. The place that gets me is entries to shopping centres, there always seems to be a group congregated smoking away and I actually get a touch anxious when I know I have to run the gauntlet.

We got into swinging for fun, and to try some adventurous things together. We know its not serious and we arnt looking for new partners. and so we wouldnt judge people by their pastimes or where they live, smoke, race ,height etc. as we could miss out on meeting some really cool new friends :> neither of us smoke , but have no problem with smokers as long as they dont blow it near us...lol

I will never knowingly date a smoker! And I agree with Donna_Brett...regular smoker or light smoker, there is no difference! I have had some very hot guys (in my eyes) who have messaged me, but on looking at their profile and seeing that they smoke at all makes me send them a response in the negative! I have stated on my profile very clearly that I am after non smokers and still cannot believe the amount of guys that still contact me even though they smoke. Or the ones that make me laugh are the ones that say they don't smoke..but yet have a fag hanging out of their mouths in pics! Also, the amount of messages I get saying "I quit smoking, but just haven't got round to changing my profile" make me laugh as well...if you are a non smoker you would reflect that. xFunlovingx THE REFORMED SMOKER!! (Lol yeah I know...the WORSE)!!

Wow, I had no idea how many gorgeous people out there I could be missing out on because I have listed myself as a light smoker. In truth, I only smoke when other people do in social situations. I don't smoke during the week, and if I'm out with other people, I will only smoke if they do first. I'm not addicted but I loooooove smoking. But if I go out with someone this weekend who didn't smoke, would they really be able to tell that I smoked half a packet last Friday night cause I was out on the town? I couldn't even touch another one for the rest of the weekend as I was too ill ;) I shower, wash my hair, brush my teeth and wash my clothes. I do everything I can to make sure I don't smell like a smoker at other times. However, like Mr Sweetiepie, I quite like the smell on other guys, I guess cause I like smoking. I also like the smell of beer but I don't like drinking it... I'm off to change my status to non-smoker now, I don't want to miss out... Mrs W xx By the way, all someone has to do is ask me not to smoke and I'm more than happy to abstain. I would never take offence to something like that.

I'm just trying to quit (again) however, before this week I would look for smokers, just because I know how much smoking stinks and it's nice to be with someone who doesn't mind. Oh, and I actually really love the tatse of fresh smoke on a mouth. It's even better if it's combined with rum or whiskey. Purrrr.Oh, and being forced to smoke when on my knees with hands behind my back... totally hot... (depends on person doing the forcing of course).Oh and some men and women are so sexy when they smoke. I think with guys it's when a finger is hooked over a cigar in a really casual way that drives me mental... oh and in inhalation, sucking that waft of smoke up through the nose (a frnehc inhale I think it's called)... oh my god... drives me insane. Even unattractive guys can become a bit more attractive when they do that.So yeah, smokers, I love you :) PS. Err.. I may have a teeny tiny smoking fetish.

Hey polar i'm a smoking addict come and get me.......he he In respones to soom of the things that have been said here, being a smoker is'nt as bad as some of you poeple have said or made it out to be ( well yhats my opinion ). But it's true smokers cop the brunt of everything when it comes to smoking, we are forced to stand out in the rain and the cold for something we enjoy as much as drinkers enjoy the free wright to drink. Atleast i can say that i can smoke a packet of smokes and get behind the wheel of my car,i can smoke a packet of smokes and go home to my lovely girl friend and not worry about beating her up. Can drinkers say that, why don't they start putting warning labels on bottles of alcohol with pics of drunk driving accidents. Don't drink and drive but nearly all pubs have drive through bottle shops and car parks bigger than shopping centres,,,,, well maybe not that big,,,,. But think of it this way Australian smokers put over 1.3 billion dallars into the australian acconomy last year...... ( So could you imagine if all the smokers in australia quit smoking today ) That 1.3 billion dallars would have to come from some where, and guess where that would be. On the everyday things that you take for granted, now don't get me wrong smoking is a bad habbit. But not as bad as some other habbits poeple have out there so give us a break. Last but not least i'm not bagging drinkers either but it's another habbit that poeple don't think about as much as smoking and for me kissing a female with the smell of stail alcohol is worse than a smoker. But everyone is aloud there own opinions that why we have these ( ADULT ) forums so keep up the good work fellow rhp peeps.

A couple of things I love doing is passionately kissing and licking a woman when playing. Unfortunately smoke permeates everything including all bodily fluids (e.g. Saliva, sweat, pussy nectar) and the taste of smoke just ruins those otherwise deliciously sweet pleasures for me. I have played with some wonderful people in the past who are smokers but I don't think I could do it again, no matter how stunning and fun they are. But it doesn't mean I can't still enjoy their company, but no more intimate than that.

We are ex smokers and do not discriminate against smokers it just dosnt matter to us. But if you smoke around us, we might have one of yours with you. Even when we did smoke our hygiene and personal care was tops....like freshening up...quick shower, brushing teeth , re application of deoderants within 30 mins of playing. Breath fresheners after a smoke and before playing. Some non smokers should take note of this! Is much more important than smoking.

All I meant Capital is that it's OK to not like smoking or not like being with smokers but there's a fair amount of people out there pretty much insinuating smokers are the scum of the earth. That's not fair especially when there are stinky and unhygienic non-smokers out there with horrible breath. So even though I'm an extremely considerate smoker and list it so on my profile purely out of honesty does this mean I should change to "Non-Smoker" to enhance our chances of meeting up with people who are strictly non-smokers?Even though when we met they would have no idea if I was a smoker or not? Catch 22.

Oh Pornstars I hope I didn't offend, what a cranky fella I was on the day I posted that...should read my other posts on that day. Well I've finished my period so can get back to being considerate. Yes we are non-smokers and prefer not to be around heavy smokers but we've played with considerate smokers and can't say the sex wasn't enjoyable!!! Now out of the closet for me: I did go through a little phase that when I had one too many beverages that I'd steal a quick puff or two and if I had 10 to many I'd have a ciggie or two to myself. This was a nice little experiment as being one of those big non-smokers I could feel the urge to have more and more. Well I put a stop to that one, very insidious thing addiction. One thing I did note was that I woke up with massive hangovers that lasted for a day or two when I'd had a few. The smoking issue is a mine field, the whole right to choose over the list of reasons we all shouldn't do it. What should be legislated is for all the crap chemicals to be taken out of it as I'm sure these heighten the addiction factor. hugs to all, even you smokers!!!! :)

Okay lets get this out in the open - I AM A SMOKER! Yes, you may now cross me off the list of elligble contacts and I will still sleep well at night. I have been on here and various similar sites for quite a while and can comfortably say that at least 1/3 or the women I have met that have either stated that they are non-smokers or worse, have emphatically proclaimed loud in their profile that smokers are not welcome have lied! The number of times I have met someone and either they pull out their own cigarettes or worse, assumed they could smoke mine continues to confuse me. I even ask them why and most will state that if they are honest and admit they smoke, they will be judged! Now I am one of these considerate smokers, I will not light up around a non-smoker. Hell I dated a woman for 3 months and she actually accused me of lying in my profile because she never saw me smoke. I did look on her with amazement and ask why she couldn't smell it on me, she just assumed I had given up and my clothes still had the odour. To be honest, I would rather be with a smoker than: Someone who takes drugs, I can't stand the smell of a joint but so many think that it is okay to light up infront of me - yet some of these have the hide to rip into me for lighting up a legal cigarette. Someone who just has to get blind drunk at every opportunity - seriously, no one looks good when drunk and throwing up, even if they think they are the life of the party. Someone who has zero class, rude etc; you know the type, the one you instantly regret taking outside of the bedroom, a constant source or embarassment. I will be honest and say I prefer to date a non-smoker as it does shit me when people take liberty and just light up inside the house. I don't smoke inside, no one else should as well. Dons my smoking jacket and waits for the backlash......

As a non smoker I do prefer other non smokers my previous long term partners have both been smokers and to be honest I didnt like regularly kissing them so have decided nope, no thankyou. That being said, I am known to cheerfully join smokers outside cause I enjoy the conversation of the person I am with, I have kissed smokers in a social setting but definately do not judge a persons personality by the fact that they smoke. Yes before I start getting a tirade of 'put your profile states...' type responses the simple reason is I am now no longer with a smoker, have not been around a smoker regularly for the majority of this year and find now that my taste buds definately dont like kissing a smoker so I choose not to play with anyone who does. But I do see the smokers points. You do get ostracised and criticised for being smokers and those of us choosing not to play with people based on their smoking preference may well be missing out on meeting some absolutely wonderful people who would otherwise fit our requirements but again this is just another tool which helps us to wade through the many profiles available. Kisses Focus

Quoting 'cnsfelswat' But think of it this way Australian smokers put over 1.3 billion dallars into the australian acconomy last year...... ( So could you imagine if all the smokers in australia quit smoking today ) That 1.3 billion dallars would have to come from some where, and guess where that would be. it wouldnt need to come from anywhere, there would be no need to run non smoking campaigns funded by the government, health system would be greatly eased and the strain on landfill and our environment would be dramaticly reduced both in waste and emissions. If I had a dollar for every cigarette butt I saw on the street I'd never have to work.I'm more annoyed at the government then smokers, its one thing to advertise against the use of it etc but they are exploiting smokers for money... its a health issue plain and simple and it should be outlawed. there is no safe amount of smoking. My mother has been diagnosed with emphysema never smoked a day in her life. She will never recover from it, when she coughs her lungs dont expand back to the same capacity again. With alcohol your body has an organ designed to remove the toxins associated with alcohol. With smoking it does not. I'm not someone who holds smoking against you, its a choice you made because you were allowed to make it. War is unpopular because of the cost of life and yet more people die from smoking/smoking related illness then have died in afganistant/iraq war and yet the government allows it to continue.

*I* avoid smokers. As previously listed, their bodily secretions, male and female, taste vile. And I can tell the difference! Although the scent of stale smoke does have some 'comforting' associations (Mum was a smoker). Personally, I chose to avoid them because of PTSD. Nothing like a smoking guy, albeit drug fucked and pissed, being abusive towards you to put you off anyone who smokes. Those who say they are 'light' smokers, or 'have given up' are also on MY taboo list. I have given some of those a chance, and they have arrived smelling like an ashtray. Hey, lying wont win you any fovors either!

My position on this one is the same as all the others, to each his own. Not meaning to be sexist but you all know what i mean. If you are ok with it, fine, if not, fine. One thing I ma encouraged by is that this hasn't degenerated into a slanging match, YAY US! Oh and its an awful lot more that 1.3 billion, have a look at the ABS figures or the budget papers :)

IDEALLY I prefer a smoke free experience all round which includes my companion(s) and where we socialise, but it's not always black & white. In my profile I emphasize that I'm not a smoker but don't mind other light smokers.I also state that I'm not judgmental in any introduction message I send to a potential play partner and I stick by both pf these.Having said that; in my mind - 'light' means outside only and not have to interrupt any verbal or sexual intercourse by excusing themselves every 10 mins to have a puff outside. I am willing to make exceptions for people who are otherwise well groomed, keep good hygiene and have a healthy attitude to themselves and life in general.HEY I've encountered some nice looking people with foul halitosis caused by poor oral hygene. There is no profile criteria to state ones dental status - halitosis? gingivitis? abscess? ... I also draw a line at foul language So - I won't hold a polarizing filter to the profiles I respond to given the above.
