It's a sign of the times for me. Once upon a time one may have done that. Now it's a case of sit back, punch the buttons and let your fingers do the walking.....

maybe on the odd occassion out I might try my hand at it once again just to see if I still have it out in the 'real' world but for the main thing...who really has the time anymore? Now when I go out I want to enjoy the company of my friends not some random guy/girl. This said should the opportunity arise I may or may not say 'No' too. Kisses Focus

I think you might be on the money Taipan. If you find someone from here that pushes all the right buttons then you do end up being 'satisfied' and not on the lookout the same way as before......

Loved "let your fingers do the walking"........ But yes Taipan it seems to be a sign of the times, at least it appears that way for us that are just reaching our maturity....lol.... I wonder whether Gen Y work the same way, think they are still more into the pub scene. That being said I always have a eye out for the finer form...........hehehe Lets

We were just discussing this yesterday. One thing that we have never done since becoming a couple (7 years now...and we met online) is just pick up! It is something that still excites us when we talk about it and one day we hope it happens but I guess you have to "put yourself out there" a bit...I don't see single girls falling all over us in bars...lol We read a profile recently where they said they had joined a swinging site after being "picked up" by a couple while on holiday at a resort. We loved that idea.... wow it would be like being the first lover of a virgin...very exciting.. It's on our "to do" list when the time is right!!

I still hit the town almost every weekened with my troupe of girlfriends, not with the intention of picking up men, rather we are taking time off to bond with each other that we don't get to do during any other time, to catch up on the girly gossips, to let our hair down and dance the weeklong stress away and get absolutely s%$# face. In the process, men do get drawn to us and if we like the look and smell of him, then yeah we'll take him home for dinner. Online dating is very 2 dimensional and I use it as a secondary "resources", to assist in the widening the array of choices. While in the real world, the courting game requires a completely different social skill set altogether. I get to touch, to smell, to tease and sometimes launch into an endless battle of wits with the right guy. Then I get to see him blush, stutter, roll his eyes and his goofy yet priceless expressions. Its not to say one is better than the other. The experience and benefit you get from these 2 worlds are completely unique in its way. Nevertheless, I would assumed its different for us girls when we aren't required to put in as much effort as men do. (hence, the man that blushed, stuttered and rolled his eyes would be probably thinking - wtf - I wouldn't had to deal with this crap if I am hunting online right now) LOL So I can only speak for myself, to me, one is like the raw oysters, the other fresh squeeze of lemon - best if consumed together!

So are we getting lazy with hooking up or smarter ? I think smarter..At the same time though there is alot to take out of what AnnabelleJ said about the smell tease etc.. Eye contact can be very powerful and of course our scent ..That is not available yet via webcam !

I find i have to consciously flick the flirt switch off when i socialise with non RHPers !!!!! How boring lol........... I find myself wondering how non RHPers live......dont they get so fed up with the boredom and drudgery ?? Maybe Ive been adversely influenced by the "scene" but I know I was not a flirt when I was married. Maybe that was the reason lol being married restrained the real me...... suddenly the supermarkets are full of sexy guys that make me wonder while i watch them gather thier essential, just what they would be like in bed........and has anyone else noticed how many women bend over in the supermarket ??? LOLOLOLOL (besides its dangerous for their backs !!) But out on the town with a gorgeous gal from here the other week and she definately hasnt lost the knack !!!! By the time i had bought our drinks she had a cluster of men chatting and laughing gathered about her. It was a ball. Dont know if the lads quite knew what had hit them, two sexy fems chatting them up, but they were very attentive. However it was the quiet mysterious one the lounge observing all that had my attention. Just what was he thinking about and looking for....... Oh and that casual touch thing when one flirts.......damn thats effective LOLOLOLOL

Completely understand the off switch thing missbowpeek. Just spent ten days in Queensland with family and friends, 10 days of highly repressed people, so good to be back with normal sane people.

Well I go out alot. In the real world. I am not aflirtusually too shy. I usually stay with my friends. I find it more fun. Though I must tease alot of women. As I never have the courage to hit on them. I know that they are interested and out to pick up. I usually choose the wrong one though or they decide among themselves who's going to get me. Yes sex in the city is frustrating to say the least. I hate drunk women. So tacky and why bother they'll be a dead root. Lol. Here it is not much easier. As you can see I'd rather play with my forum friends than troll the profiles for potential dates. Lol. I'm no different here. If female guests get one message a day or week then why aren't they looking. Fab.

Seems to me Taipan you must be getting what you need from this site and therefore don't need to go out and pick up. True ?? But I agree with MissBowPeek being on this site - or I should say mainly on the forums - has opened my eyes and senses to the possibilities out there. I am looking at people with knew eyes and I wonder what sort of life they might lead in the privacy of their own homes, or parks, or on car bonnets, or in swingers clubs and parties, etc, etc. Definitley has opened my mind ...... just need to get out there now. MissBowPeek do you ever find yourself at work, or on email, or facebook replying to someone with completely inappropriate comments and suddenly realise oops this is not RHP - delete, delete, delete. Hahahahahahahaha. xxx Meeka

Oh and apparently their are certain nights at your local supermarket where all the swingers or singles go to pick up. The secret signal is to have a single banana hanging on the top of your trolley...

Meeka you are having me on arent you ????????? LOL...........I shall have to start putting my bananas on show !! so what you just walk up to a banana guy and say........"i see bananas are in season ?" or "gosh what a gorgeous banana you have there ! Could i wrap something around it for you ...........like a pancake ??" LOL but really .....how do you get a single banana to hang ??????? lol Gosh what would happen if I left one in the front window to .....well ripen like ????? Apparently in the forces a box of omo in the window meant "old man out" and was an advert for company.....nah never tried that either. Yes I have found my self delete delete delete ing !!!!! and when i worked in the company of several African men SUDDENLY seeing them in a WHOLE different way ......lol phew ! was very hard to remain all professional and clinical like and not make inappropriate comments !!!!!! hmmm as i say "what is hidden reveals most" miss b

Its true - its true. I accidentally did this one Tuesday night at the local Coles had a bunch of bananas on the top of my trolley - and as I was walking past the deli meats - love hot salamis you know - a guy out of the blue just walked up and said hello but just as he said that I slipped on a wet patch. And he ran away..... And I swear it's all true. xxx Meeka

Quoting 'Meeka100' Oh and apparently their are certain nights at your local supermarket where all the swingers or singles go to pick up. The secret signal is to have a single banana hanging on the top of your trolley... Guys are supposed to do their fly's up in the supermaket, not down... and i'd not be going near the frozen food section with my "banana hanging out on top of the trolley" lest it turn into a very small pickle...
