I wouldn't normally ask or talk about it before hand. I'd just give plenty of clues that is where you are headed. Licking the perineum first and slowly dragging your tongue up there. To answer Gayley. Because vaginal flora do not react well to anal bacteria, especially e- coli which causes urinary tract infections . The lining of the anus is very thin and easily damaged allowing infections to be transferred. Then there is the question of parasites and their eggs . The anus and rectum can never really be cleaned 100 %. Never said that it does not feel good and that we don't enjoy it. Just that we avoid it with regards the swinging scene . How does one do that with rimming? Use a latex. " dam " ? I easily get urinary tract infections and Jason knows to be careful when he goes down on me so as to avoid cross contamination. Whilst I may have control over his tongue, I don't have control over the tongues of others, should we play . Best therefore to rather err on the side of caution. We all have our own choices to make and set the boundaries that we are comfortable with . If someone wants to play with us then they must respect our boundaries just as we will respect theirs . After working in primary health for some time it's unlikely to get any STIs (again it's no longer std ?) due to the natural forming of body sweets n in the case of females natural body fluids from the Pusey ;) the sti mentioned in the post did as soon as they become air born ? It really does come down to each person but please be better informed on the transmission of STIs... N alwsy play clean ??

You have a greater chance of getting an infection if ur partner at the time has any form of dirt (dirty finger nails) under there finger nails ??? As the natural body juices regardless of pussy or anal will release the dirt from under ??? Be more concerned if there hands were cleaned ???

The bacteria in your mouth are there to stop harmful bacteria and viruses (or varii if if you wish but the Oxford says viruses) from entering your internal system which is why it is such a hostile environment to microbes.One of the most damaging things in modern first world countries is the idea that 'germs' are bad. It's the same as letting the sun hit your skin is bad...BULLSHIT. Australia is in the grips of one the most absurd epidemics, vitamin D deficiency. Easy to cure, GET SOME SUN ON YOUR SKIN. Shouldn't be too hard in Australia but I see ads on TV promoting pills to overcome this most insidious of dietary deficiencies.And to be honest, if I was worried about STDs, STIs, whatever you want to call them, the last thing I'd be worried about is where my tongue has been. It's been a while since I've had a paper cut on my tongue.

Have yourself and your partner tested for STIs and enjoy each other's body in all ways possible. I understand everyone likes different things but sometimes you don't know if something feels nice until you try it. Sadly no vaccine for Hep C. But like Funlover said, you'd need a (biiiig) paper cut on your tongue plus the other would have to bleeding rectally. But to be fair, you can get other infections via rimming, for example Shigella and E. Coli, as well as some parasites. Herpes and Syphillis could be transmitted, though less likely and only when lesions/sores are present. Again, saliva kills most nasties quickly. When in doubt, use an antibacterial lube, a dam, a cut up condom or Glad Wrap.
