  I have found a phone book entry for Swingin Safari at 2945 Gold Coast Hwy Surfers Paradise. I phoned them and they are a restaurant & bar on the corner of Thornton St and the Gold Coast Hwy. So I think that must be it. (Email address attached) or ring (Phone number attached)

  On the corner of GC hwy and Thornton street. It is a great little place, definately not your typical Gold Coast night club. It is a converted house and has a very relaxed and chic atmosphere.
