erotic reading materials

September 10 2013

I'm looking to add some new volumes to the bookshelf.   I've noted that "Insatiable Wives" by David j Ley is one to add.   What other's do our forum readers recommend.   I'm particularly interested in anything to do with women exploring and expanding their sexuality.

I've pretty much bought out the erotica that's popular, I really enjoyed Tiffany Reisze's The Angel and the other two that go with it. I just finished Ünfaithfully Yours by Dr Zita Weber, it's an account of 12 women who have had affairs and the good Dr gives us her thoughts along the way. A bit generalized, but was an interesting read anyway.Lots of choices around at the moment, 50 shades certainly got the ball rolling on modern erotica :) I remember finding an old one amongst my mums things, very different to the modern stuff and definately intriguing read for a teenage girl!

I just finished reading the Velvet Pouch by Holly Hill. This is her third book based on her life. In this one she writes about what really happened when she and her boyfriend have a 'negotiated infidelity" arrangement.   I also liked Mattress Actress by Annika Cleeve This is about her story of being a sex worker for sixteen years.   Losing February by Susanna Freymark This is a story of love without sex and sex without love. It describes what happens when a capable, passionate woman tries to flee the pain of having loved and lost too much. One way or another by Nikki McWatters This is about her life as a Rock n Roll groupie One for the guys (great read) Laid Bare - One man's story of sex, love and other disorders by Jesse Fink This is a brutally honest account of one man's emotional and mental oblivion after separation and divorce. How he becomes player in the world of online dating. All these books are written by Australian authors.

Anais Nin's Diaries are not in your library K then they absolutely should be...she is my hero,an amazing writer and exploring her sexuality in a time when women were not encouraged to be free thinking ,sexually adventurous or reflective about that journey.Henry Miller and his wife June were both her lovers.

It's stock standard classic wicked lit... It's amazing how you can be drawn erotically into things that by my moral code are revolting... The power of the well written word... I'm trying to finish the last 50 shades book at the moment, it's more interesting seeing some of the looks I get carrying it around than it is to actually read it... Hp xo 💌 #Believe

I'm really intetested In some of the classics, I've read much of the modern stuff. I'm intrigued by those who went there before their time....- Posted from rhpmobile

those erotic stories are a little shocking....they were originally written for a collector of erotica...the diaries are amazing....and just last night I was rereading her novel ''A Spy in the House of Love''....

Nancy Friday - My Secret Garden - is a collection of real sexual fantasies sent in by women. It was controversial in the 1970's but may be viewed rather differently now. Erotic nevertheless.

is definitely worth a read - it's about a thousand times more erotic than 50 shades of badly written, ludicrous tripe. - Posted from rhpmobile

Yep, I was a naughty little minx right from the get go and Mum and Dad had a huge stash of toys and books, they were comfortable in their sexuality and never went out of their way to hide it, embarrassment city a lot of the time for us kids, but then you get to that age were you get curious and start searching through cupboards etc. One of the books I found was a 70's publication about a group of tourists having sexual adventures as they travel through the wilds of africa, I remember one scene in particular fascinated me about a girl masturbating herself with a tree root in front of the group!

If you're interested in bdsm then Laura Antonio's 'The Marketplace' series are incredibly well written.

I had to download the audio books for Mr Fantasy so he could listen to them whilst he was at work (he drives cattle road trains around Nth Australia). By the time he finished the last book, nearly every other driver of the company was fighting over who could borrow his iPod next! It was an absolute crack up

I was inly thinking this evening that I'm about to add yet another interesting chapter to my book....followed by the thought "I hope Mum's still around to read it." and I think she'd love it, but I think parts of it would give her pause.....and maybe make her love me morer......because I am "On Safari". K will ring you when I get a moment to breathe xx. Loving some of the suggested reads and agree wholeheartedly Rocknminx 50 Shades pales in comparison to the Original Sinners series. And Lady Chatterley's lover is more about the build up K!! Lol you know....

Apologies if it's already been covered but what about Nikki Gemmell? . I know a female friend has enjoyed Nikki's books (and I keep forgetting to the friend again) but do they translate well for men too? . Start with the Bride stripped bare or any other's to start the romance with. . Ha ha - as an aside, I remember her voice well from when she was the news reader on JJJ. She sounded soooo sweet and innocent.. Boy, was I wrong!
