Curvy......to me means.....Having a waist....aswell as bigger boobs and bum...I don't know weather dress size has a major influence on being curvy, but I feel if you havn't got a waist,your not curvy.....Hourglass as Bratz said......! Love and peace Tam

I am curvey even when wearing a pair of size eight jeans. I am just built that way. Short and cuddly, that is me. I gain weight and lose weight evenly so I still look exactly the same...just bigger ...or smaller. Same ratio of difference between bust, waist and arse. Curvey means not built like a carpenters dream. It means natural bumps and lumps where they should be. Good child bearing hips they used to call it back in the days.

I am both... but I have any number of friends who are one or the other... and they are all smokin' hot ;)In fact I think it's safe to say that the general consensus here is approval of both curvy... and a little extra cushion for the pushin... lolThere are threads that applaud slender or athletic or tall or exotic... this isn't a critique, just a word definition ;)

Always had a big butt, big tits and big lips. I used to HATE it, always wantied to be slim and have size B boobs. I thank god for the Kardashians for making my shape somewhat socially sought after now!Curvy to me means a smallish waist, and bigger than usual butt and boobs.Voluptuous is more plus size sounding in my opinion

...the word 'curvie' is used as a euphemism for fat or obese. its just a nicer way of saying it. incidently, these individuals wear plus size clothing, so 'curvie' and 'plus size' are really the same thing. in my opinion 'curvie' does not mean fat or obese. to me it means a figure like the one tamworthguy descibed, not athletic or slender, but shapely. but lets face it...the word has been hijacked.

I'd consider my wife as 'curvy'....as her photo shows, shes the same size as she was when 17, just more 'womanly'............definitely not 'plus' sized tho........

I think 'curvy' gets used interchangeably with BBW by some people, or maybe those who aren't comfortable with the BBW tag? To me, it means the lady's got some junk in her trunk and boobs. Very defined curved lines on her body.

My mind just flashed to a finely tuned sports car on a winding road...and taking the curves at top speed, you know the kind when the tires are making that "I am almost out of control" sound. I consider myself curvy, bordering on plus size for my (absolute lack of) height. I have a defined waist, am busty and have an arse that looks great in jeans but prob not so much in a gstring lol. I say there is nothing wrong with either as I have found people who enjoyed me when I was bigger and people who enjoyed me when I was smaller. I am also finding some great people on here who are enjoying me now! It all comes down to personal preference. However I do agree that curvy is being used way too much to describe people who are clearly plus size, and think that if they were truly accepting of their size then they would be happy to be described as plus size

Christina Hendricks. Absolutely gorgeous. Dress size has nothing to do with it. It is all about shape. A short girl can have size 8 hips but still look curvy. There is a difference between curvy and fat/obese. The latter just claim curvy because it sounds better.

I've been curvy since I was 14 and I've been a tall size 8-10 for most of the time since! As everyone else has said, it's about the ratio of boob to waist to hips, not any minimum dimensions! Mind you, one of the best looking women I've seen nude was a size 16 and curvy. I have nothing against bigger girls!
