It sounds good in conversation i.e. have you had many meets lately? But whenever I go to type it out, I usually write 'meat' or 'meats', which may actually be a freudian slip...I quite like unicorn.

Quoting 'Saskia72' spitroast doesn't really do it for me. lol was just discussing this with a friend the other day,she hates that term. I told her of a euphemism I heard recently to replace the term. "the Eiffel tower" although the men have to high ten at least once during.

50zcool - A Unicorn is actually a bisexual single female willing to play with couples. Genuinely bi-sexual (in that she will play with both members of the couple equally - not just Mr 'X' and fake it for Mrs "X" just so they can get a shot at him). The reason she is called a Unicorn is because many believe that a genuinely bi-sexual single female is a mythical creature. I actually like the word play. I use it when referring to to 'dates' or 'sexual meetings'. I find it a very fun word to be used and believe me some of the 'games' undertaken during those times are lots of fun . Kisses Focus

sorry .... The word I dislike is more inline with BDSM. Thats calling a submissive or a slave someones 'pet'. I just feel that term demeans the whole relationship. A Pet is a diffferent level of relationship. I know most do it through ignorance but it grates on my nerves when a so called 'experienced' dom or domme calls me a 'pet' - trust me thats not how my BDSM relationship is defined. I could go on with other attitudes in this area but I am in a mellow mood and dont feel like getting grumpy tonight. Maybe another night...lol Kissses Focus

We regularly get the probing question, "Soooooo, what are you guys "into"?? Well, we like playing sport, the gym, travelling, gardening, sex....um....the list goes on and on.....Why dont people just come out with it - "Sooooooo, how do you like to swing?". xxx

"Pet" to me is a guinea pig of sorts, someone you see for your own not-necessarily-sexual entertainment. A " toy. " I like pets. I would like several. This being said, I know it's not how others use it. I tend to not get off at all with pets, but rather, I use them to practice. It's like boarding school girls who practice kissing on each other so they'll be good with someone they actually want. I don't have a term for sexual submissives with whom I have a relationship. "Boyfriend" works just fine, perhaps because I have w divide and conquer view. Average 50:50. Nothing makes me lose interest and respect quite as much as men who are not as assertive and dominant as I am. Butting heads and having makeup sex for me.

I have to say there is a word that makes my nose scrunch up a little each time I hear it.......it's involuntary , my reaction and I try hard not to read into it, but I just can't 'like' it......and it's fem or fems I understand that to many it's just a shortened version of female, but to some it's actually a very depersonalised way of addressing a woman....it takes away everything she is as a person and makes her suddenly just a 'thing'.

I think your right, the lovely J did indeed coin that. I think it's kind of appropriate and accurate most of the time, an excellent metaphor!Cheers Felonius....sitting in corner, bucket on head..chewing on spade. lol

For us this journey is about fun and adventure. It's our blowing off steam time. We enjoy it and have fun with it... So we call it play. Sometimes we play hard! There aren't really any swinger words that really rub us the wrong way, but the eternal question of what we are looking for is annoying at times. We have a pretty long blurb on our profile stating what we like, so why the question?

I love that... much better, particularly since I was chatting to a friend of mine who's been swinging for yonks, and I one day asked him if he ever feels uncomfortable doing the deed with someone elses significant other while staring at their partner, his reply... "naah, I only swing with people who are totally comfortable, sometimes it gets so good, we get a high five going" A spitroast implies that the lady is a pig... about to be sacrificed... ewwwww.

I am not sure what else to call my male pet who likes to be called pet, and slave, when that's the bdsm role he enjoys so much with me, collared to me, and refers to himself that way.

Doggy - love the act, don't love the term. Easygoing - anyone who describes themselves as this with little other description loses my interest lickety split. Fuckbuddy - really? Yuk!

Quoting 'Dark_Moon_Lilith'I am not sure what else to call my male pet who likes to be called pet, and slave, when that's the bdsm role he enjoys so much with me, collared to me, and refers to himself that way. But not in mine, especially as thats how your pet refers to himself. It just irks me that some called 'experienced' dom / dommes lump everyone into the 'pet' catergory. I am not a pet. I am not in a 24/7 completely controlled BDSM relationship. Kisses Focus
