bugga, bugga and more buggas...

May 15 2010

excuse me for blaspheming but today has not been an auspicious day for me...For all you fellow rhp'ers who have a phone with all your contacts on it...a BIG recommendation is to copy the numbers down and keep it somewhere safe...*no, between your bum crack is NOT a safe place..!!!* Because today I very cleverly destroyed my mobile phone...big deal you might say...but my mobile is the only phone i have...i can see that it is time to invest in two phones...the upside is that my boss cannot contact me...lol...but the downside is that nor can my son...the naughty so-and-so...and anyway, damned if i can remember his number...so i am one very unhappy chappy today...jose...

Go get your phone bills every call you make is itemised wiith the numberYou can guess who is important by the number of times you called them last monthNext get a phone that synchrosises with your outlook or similar on your computer or buy Sim Manager, you pop the sim card in it and it puts allyour contacts into a spreadsheet and will upload too from the spreadsheet.Sim manager makes it shit easy to redo your contacts, type it into an excel spreadsheet n upload it, way easier than using the phoneWell theres my 10 cents worth

Quoting 'comeandgetme68'broke the phone, not the sim card...but will definitely get two phones and keep one as a backup...cheersjose... Another thought for you mate is to get an iPhone - that way your contacts will be sync'd with your computer and then it does not matter if your phone breaks - you still have all your contacts. I've had this type of thing for many years now and with over 5500 contacts/phone numbers, there is no other way I could handle it. Just a thought for ya. Wayne

Hey Trish I am with Optus for my home phone and computer. I pay $99 a month and pay no line rental, get all my national calls and 13 and 1300 calls for nothing, as well as all calls to Optus Mobiles free. In that amount I get 20G of data on the computer...the kids and I have never used it yet and I have been on this plan for over a year!! It really is great for a family (especially when you have 2 teens that download everything. I find prepaid the best too...am with Vodaphone but will be heading back to Optus soon!! Roxy I have 2 phones that I use. One phone is just for family/friends/business and the other is my "net" phone or when I go out. I find keeping the two separate really helps if anything happens to the "net" phone, as I don't really care about those numbers so much as the other phone. xFunlovingx

My phone is set up to synchronise with Microsoft Outlook on bluetooth every time it's near my computer. It all happens automatically which is good since I have around 800 contacts just for work. I'm good with phones though, mine tend to last longer than everyones elses a work and knock on wood I haven't lost one yet. I don't use the sim directory it slows my phone down too much and the choice to keep numbers on the SD memory card is a secondary backup. I love technology.
