  Well... just for you , I did a little experiment... here on my desk. While they did all seem to travel at a seriously gushing pace ... they all kind of backed off the throttle once they hit the desk... after a lttle while the experiment went to shit because I think the cat got to them while I was out getting a drink.   I was going to say something quite intelligent about the speed of sperm until I read stalky's comment...Thanks for the laugh and please do update us with your latest findings...By the way, they do say that these speedy little swimmers travel at a rate of 1 - 4 millimeters per minute to as fast as 8 inches per hour

  Yes BubbaJ some of us have actually realised that those little swimmers do have a speed limit. It takes approximately three days from cumming for the sperm to work its way maybe seven inches to find the ovum. The majority dies within the first 24 hours. One more little thing to ponder...the IUD makes the vaginal fluids thicker and more mucousy like thereby confusing the poor little tadpoles.   Just mulling over MissLee's '8 inches per hour' and thinking thats a poor ejaculation rate. After abstaining for a few days the healthy bloke's efforts should be able to travel a body length and hit the bedroom wall.
