Yes I also have a touch of OCD, mines with pegs, when hanging cloths on the line I have to have my pegs colour coded, or some kind of patten. At work, I'm a perfectionist, I won't stop until it's absolutely perfect.....Im a shopaholic when it comes to cloths, shoes, handbags, underwear and sunglasses, I don't need any of it, but I have to have it...I don't have a filter between my Brain and my mouth, this tends to get me in a little trouble......I eat a burger a little different, I always take one half the bun off and flip it over so that the patty is on top, so it goes from bottom, bun, sauce, salad stuff, patty.(yes I know it's weird) but apart from these things I'm pretty normal.......💋

I'm the same with the pegs - each item of clothing hung on the line must have the same colour pegs! And with my computer, I open up programs in a certain order, as the tabs have to be in the same order every time. As for bad habits - I bite my nails. Argh! And I also don't flush in the middle of the night, unless I have to!

I don't think some people realized that some obsessions over small things, can drive others to the brink. LOL! When I was married, my husbands biggest obsession was to hang the washing out on the line with the same colored pegs! It drove me MENTAL!! Seriously it was a disaster! :( The first thing I did when I got my own place was ...never doing that again! "HA! I'm happy to hang my clothes on my line with what ever pegs I like, when I want and how I want and in no colored order" My daughter did if for a while....until I told her it's ok you don't have to do that here at my place. I remember one time I was at a "friends" place, washing up the dishes and left a few bubbles on the plates! Holy shit - did that upset the little apple cart. LOL! OK - My obsession is to make my bed every day with hospital corners, doona fluffed up and no creases in it. Gotta love getting into a crisp bed at night. :) And yes I sleep all year round with a feather doona on my bed - even summer. You sleep in my bed, that's what you get. LOL! Foxy

bite my nails until I was pregnant with my last son and I had to stop because I got really bad tendonitis in my wrists and it hurt too much to bite them. I also used to be pretty OCD when it come to organisation but I am too time poor to give a shit now and the kids just ruin everything. I pick my nose entirely too much, after moving from a humid climate to a dry one, I feel like I constantly have boogers clogging up my nose. I usually do this on the toilet, not in front of people. I often don't flush in the middle of the night either. I use lol and haha so much when I type that I have actually used them in real conversation, doh! I could have slapped myself for that one, lol....haha

No sure if it is OCD (I doubt it tho) I don't know why I do it, I just do. Self -soothing I think, for when I am upset or my tummy is full of excited butterflies (fuzzie wuzzies) and I want them to calm down. :) Some of my friends have picked that up with me...I think in a way a good thing they see that. I think picking up things/obsessions with people can be a good sign or a breaking point? The little quirky or obsessional things with some people I do actually like - it's their uniquiness about them that is appealing. Foxy PS- I like this topic, Good one Meeka :)

I don't see my habits as bad but they probably seem weird to other people. I don't have the obsession with same coloured pegs but when I hang clothes on the clothesline, I hang them in order of length. Short ones at the front, long ones at the back. It's just logical to me :P When I go out to eat, I will wipe down the table and put all the plates, dishes and cutlery all stacked up in a pile when I'm done eating. I just don't like people cleaning up after me :P I can't stand leaving dishes unwashed. If I leave them and I'm out, I get images of cockcroaches infesting my kitchen sink :/ I pick and peel dead skin off my fingers all the time. OK, THAT is a bad habit! :( When I'm stressed, I chew my nails till they bleed :( I'm a Grammar Nazi so when I read something, no matter how important, first thing I do is skim for spelling mistakes. I will always double check my own writing for mistakes/spacing/setup cos I'm a perfectionist, and I detest Autocorrect. Oh, and I use smileys way too much :/ :P :D ^_^ - Posted from rhpmobile

NOPE! Nada. I'm perfect. Lol. So many times have I missed my flights when travelling (overslept) that I have developed some sort of anxiety regarding flying. I will continually check my booking for time about 1-2 days before day that have checked in and i have my seating sorted. On the night before the flight I always have the nightmare of missing my flight and chasing after the plane on the tarmac. Lol. Thereby have very little sleep, have 2-3 alarms set up to wake me up and racked with anxiety until I'm seated on the plane. Then I zone out and sleep deeply throughout the journey. Not a good plane travel companion for anyone. Lol. - Posted from rhpmobile

Didn't realize so many people had an issue with pegs. Good friend of mine also has this problem, and when her daughter was very young she insisted on helping mummy by handing her the pegs. Of course they were never the right colour, so finally my friend decided that the whole thing was just too stressful so she started using the dryer to dry all their clothes. Lol!

OMG Meeka, I did the same thing with my kids, I would say mummy needs a blue/pink/yellow one now darling and I too tend to use the dryer instead of the cloths line lol..... I did try wooden ones once, but I could do it....

When I hang clothes, ALL the hangers must be facing back and there must NEVER be empty hangers in amongst clothes, always at beginning.......... Since stopping smoking, I always bite my nails now.......... Can never have an overfull fridge, otherwise I stress out............ I think my counting is the worst, when I'm really stressed, I count everything I do and I mean everything!!!

I can't put notes in my purse without them being in the right order. The biggest note at the back with the smallest in the front. My mum always said that if you had respect for money you would never be poor. Boy did she get that one wrong :-P I have a bad habit of biting my bottom lip. My obsession is washing my hands as soon as I get to work, home, a friend, anywhere really. This might be good for hygiene but not so great for my skin. Another one is drying between each toe after a shower or a bath. I also have to boil the kettle just before making my coffee, even if it did only finish boiling 30 seconds before.

Too many quirks if you want to call them that to list. My ex husband of 15 years rarely slept. So I was often in bed and asleep when he decided he was tired but his habit drove me insane...he would switch on the light and re tuck the top sheet and re fluff the doona while I was in the freaking bed asleep. The bed was made to his standard every morning but he still redid it every night. - Posted from rhpmobile

You're not so bad Meeka. I have so many bad habits I consider numbers 1,3 and 4 of your bad habits as among my few good habits. If I start listing all my bad habits this forum will get long and boring. One strange /bad habit I have is an obsession with news papers and would like to have a butler (in reality I couldn't stand having some fuss over me) just to iron my papers so they are in pristine condition before I read them. Perhaps I should list my good habits................ Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm Nah, can't think of any !

Coming from a single parent family where the dollars and food was limited before experiencing a fairly rewarding sporting career where life became easier' yet I still feel the need to be carefull on how I spend.. I guess that's a hangover from the times life wasnt too good. Before I go to bed I always check to see the doors are locked, then forget if I checked or not and go back again even though Im sure I did.I get the shits with myself because I do this.... and pull myself aside for a lil chat.. Does F--k all but... Apart form that , no real compulsive stuff .. I find the peg thing strange but, as long as they hang the clothes.. ?

Always during sales time so $300 spent might have had a $700 saving on the original prices, but there are only so many pairs of sparkly shoes required, and if I've not had the chance to wear a few of the lingerie sets since I bought then in may, then I probably didn't need all of them. But who can argue with 70% off? Not me.

Flush the toilet with the seat down. I lecture people about it at work esp if there is an outbreak of gastro etc. Even my child flushes with the lid down. I prefer a certain sponge for my dishes. I use so many sponges for my dishes(new one every 2 days, sometimes daily pending what has been washed) - Posted from rhpmobile

Hubby is OCD with pegs and will actually re-hang things if we are doing it together.I always giggle when I watch him hang the clothes darting about getting colour coded pegs. He likes cleanliness where as I like dropping things where they fall. He has even taken photos of my side of the bedroom as opposed to his and facebooked it.

I think it i great that there are so many of us who are water wise..... I too don't flush for a pee..... "If it's yellow, let it mellow. If its brown flush it down". I find it hard to go past a country bakery...... not even hungry, but there's something about finding the best bakery. Can be a bit of a sloth at times....... bed seldom gets made. Every time I get everything in its place, I vow to keep it that way, but it never happen (btw, it is never really disgusting, but things aren't perfect). I am also a person who has to be early. Know where that comes from; grew up in a family that was always late and I hated it. The pegs thing is not my issue, but I have 2 friends that I could never help them hang out clothes. Was visiting friend in Brisbane and thought I'd hang out the washing...... her 10yr old son said "mum will change those pegs..... she did as soon as she got home. I didn't realise how common that was.

I can't stand waiting... for people, doctors appt, my turn at the hairdresser, a TV program to start, anything. If it's going to happen, it has to happen NOW!!! Kind of like "I need to be fucked, and I need it NOW!!!..." LOL (That's actually the one thing I take my time with and can enjoy the anticipation... LOL. So long as she's arrived or I am there... But the days before, if it's an 'arranged thing'... MY GOD, the pain, the pain...). I think we all have a little OCD. It actually described as normal to have your little quirk, whatever it may be, so long as it doesn't affect your life or someone else's. It's the most common Neuroses there is... It's who we are. But I do try to be more patient, as far as waiting goes, but it's so bloody hard! Waiting...Waiting... Waiting... LOL. Like this post... I wish I could just finish it and go on reading, already... Hehehe

Quoting 'Meeka100' No you miss the point. The pegs must also match the colour of the clothes that they are hanging as well. Ohhhh Meeka... You THINK you have a 'slight' case of OCD? Hmmmmm - . We've all got 'em it's just a question of degrees... I have other little obsessive things... I like things neat and tidy and clean. People put that down to be a VERY typical Virgo trait, IT IS, but it's also a form of OCD... It's just the degree that people have to go to to feel clean or feel comfortable that something is clean... Certainly nothing to worry about for anyone, unless is starts running your life. I went to Uni with a bloke who had it bad... He had to go from one Bldg to another in exactly the right amount of steps. If he didn't get it right, he'd have to walk back and do it again. To the point where he missed lectures and ended up dropping out... That's what it can do... So, little quirks are neither here nor there.

My strange and annoying traits are:Annoying trait #1 - Always apologising... have to concentrate on not saying "sorry" so much.Annoying trait #2 - OCD with cleanliness... sometimes start cleaning others house without thinking out of habit.Annoying trait #3 - Overly helpful... keep trying to do things for others and for some reason they hate it.Annoying trait #4 - Self deprecating... 'nuff said. There are a lot more but I'll leave that up to others to point out for me SG(CDO... it's like OCD but with the letters in the right order... LIKE THEY SHOULD BE!!!)

Women always go on about guys leaving the seat down, yet many don't have the sense or decency to close the lid. If I was serious with someone and they left it up (many do) Sorry, I'd leave em in a heart beat unless they changed their ways. It's just wrong. As for sponges, changing at least once a month I think is quite adequate, any longer and it's just filled with bacteria, discusting.

I'm with looking4quality on the notes thing. All the men face the back, the females the front and in sequential order or it can end in tears... When the boys invade to watch the footy or over for a few ales, I tend to remove the empty bottles/plates as soon as they hit the bench. With the washing... God help me!!! All the socks have to be paired, the boxers hung in half and all inside out... Punctuality... If you make a time/place and the clock strikes time and your not on time, I tend to get sand in my vagina and that usually ends badly... Arriving with more alcohol in the system before a party/social event can have anyone of my multiple personalities escape and cause havoc, only to cop a spray for being a dick after the fact is on the list of a Bad Habits...

I'm definitely OCD, way too many to list. Good to know I'm not alone. Sure it must drive my family insane at times. The pegs, order of washing on line, way it's hung, not flushing, money in order in wallet, everything in its place etc. I have a need for control ( should be dominatrix ) maybe that's why I love that my husband is so spontaneous. Keeps life fun. I'm sure I have plenty of other bad habits, talk to much and but in a lot, love to get my gear off at any opportunity if it's warm, ok that may be a good point to some, lol. I love other peoples quirks, makes them who they are, wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same.

Wow. That is some serious OCD thing happening there. I'm not sure if I can handle a friend or acquaintance with such behavior Would drive me batty. But it is my issue as have not really come across people who have your degree of OCD. I assume it can be very difficult at times. But it seems you have managed to find out a system for you to move in the "normal" society which can be unforgiving due to our lack of information re the disorder. Good for you. I'm not into Astrology at all... I am just familiar with what they say are the classic 'Virgo' traits, as that's my sign. But it's well documented that Virgoans have many 'traits' that could be easily termed as OCD... It's just part of the 'Perfectionist Personality' and the need to be 'Neat, clean and tidy' and for all things to be a 'certain way'... So, I do wonder now, if Virgos (and other star signs that have similar traits) more inclined to be OCD??? Comments?

It's the first thing I look at when viewing a profile (if looking for something more than just a fling). However there is generally 3 different variants of star sign personality depending on the particular date they were born. It's not an exact science but it's fairly close. It's Unfortunate that many people on RHP lie about their age or the month and day they were born as it muddy s the waters a bit in trying to figure out what they are likely to be, personality wise. As a cancarian, I've never met a virgo I didn't get along with, not to my knowledge anyway.

I also like all the hangers to match #3 - I like my towels folded and stacked the same way #4 - When I read a book, I like to flick to the end to see how it ends, I then continue reading! #5 - Prefer plastic pegs but it's a must to use 3 x pegs for a shirt lol! #6 - I like to drink my tea scolding hot. I always leave a bit in the bottom... just wrong to drink the whole cup ;) - Posted from rhpmobile

I climb trees when I'm drunk. One of our friends ended up cutting back my favourite climbing tree after someone else followed me one night and fell out! I loved that tree

Mainly because I like to trick people into thinking I'm fairly "normal" (whatever that is these days), but the one thing about me that probably scared people off the most is, if I decide I like you, I can be full on. Until I realise what doing then I try to stand back a little. Yep.....I'mime a huge playful Labrador that comes bounding right at you, jumps up on you, knocks you down and licks your face. Then I get sent to the naughty corner. I have many other bad habits, big too many to list.
