I'd be happy enough to just see myself walking down the street and be able to find out if my self-perception is accurate. I have a particular view of how I look which I know affects how I think about myself, how I interact, even how I sit on a chair, among other things. It would be nice to have an objective view for a change :) What a good idea!

''If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him' a Zen koan'.....the only perception of the self which is worthwhile is in my opinion one's own. Your friends will see you in a postive light, your enemies wont.....we are all many faceted,we show only what we want others to see depending on our relationship with them.A friend an enemy or a stranger.

As for others points of view on me...wellllllllll   How others see me and how I perceive myself have always been quite different...so therefore irrelevant as the only person I have to live with..is me..

or not, first instinct is to say yes... but then I have to wonder would I be more harsh on myself than I already am. Are we talking just appearances here, or our personality/attitude as well... it takes a strong person to listen to anothers view on their negative points and I imagine an even stronger person to see themselves as the world sees them. After all we are not perfect, nope not one of us. Besides I think it would probably scare the shit out of me if I ran into me... What the??? I might be tempted to ask the me of the future what my destiny is... and change the course of mankind... isn't that what always happens in movieland?

Unless it was like that TV add when healthy version of you meets the unhealthy version of you.   Because that would be a drag

Quoting 'Freya13' ''If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him' a Zen koan'.....the only perception of the self which is worthwhile is in my opinion one's own. Your friends will see you in a postive light, your enemies wont.....we are all many faceted,we show only what we want others to see depending on our relationship with them.A friend an enemy or a stranger. Or to put it in my own words, I'm me and if you don't like it you can bugger off.

I think some aspects would be fun...but when she/me started eating all my Lindt Chocolate and drinking my Alcohol like they are going to stop making it well, that would be her/my time to leave...

But when all the fun and games were over, there would definitely be a showdown...

Though I have a pretty good idea of self from the reflection of my friends. I think I'd look older than I imagine though. But I'm tough enough to take that on the chin.I'd probably get annoyed with having someone else to compete against if we met a nice lady though.

I'm shocked every time I hear myself speak on tape or camera. Don't think I could bear listening to myself for real.

I agree with GT, I'd love to meet myself, punch myself in the face and tell me to get myself sorted, start acting on my life plans rather than just dreaming. Other people seem to like me more than I like myself so it could be interesting to get my own true honest opinion about myself, in my own non-sugarcoated way
