Ya think you've seen/heard it all....

August 14 2012

And then by chance you stumble across this in your RHP trawling.. http://www.redhotpie.com.au/Article/Flesh-Love-Photographs-of-Vacuum-Wrapped-Tokyo-Couples-1040Hmmmmmm now Im all for Boudoir / erotic / arty photography but sheeesh where does someone put this pic to hang? What does it mean? (I'm always the vaugue looking one walking around the art gallery with a "WT?" look on their face so it may just be only me that doesn't get it...Thinks Vacuum seal photography while possible cutting edge styling is better place in back of aisle 8 with the other sealed pieces of meat..Gotta love the Japanese though ..they come up with all sorts of crazy shit!!

It means "the self-deluded futility of striving for stability when all systems tend towards chaos". But then I never really understood entropy*, so.Drift*Also, at first I misread that as 'fleshlight' vacuum photos which for some reason actually made me think it was going to be weirder.

I what ever you can get away with   I rather liked the concept.   The thing with art as in modern art is the Concept..what is the artist trying to say?   Rather than chocolate box art like the pretty little landscape or your Bali paintings.   I love things that make me think, I may not want it on my wall but that’s the kind of stuff they have in Art Galleries   Peggy Guggenheim was a smart cookie look at how much her collection is worth now, and it was often thought of as crap in the time of purchase.

was an artist who had severe cerebral palsy. A few years ago he produced a series of life size photographs for an exhibition that had him as the subject matter wrapped completely in plastic while he was sitting in his wheelchair. It was stunning and confronting work.Shane could neither walk nor speak .A highly intelligent and creative man he wanted to challenge the viewers perception of him and accentuate his visibility.x Hugs H

I think it's the Asian cocoon concept where you are enveloped in a comforting protective way then come out a renewed more beautiful person. Kudos to the Japs!
