People wait around too long for love. I'm happy with all of my lusts!” “I don't know why people are afraid of lust. Then I can imagine that they are very afraid of me, for I have a great lust for everything. A lust for life, a lust for how the summer-heated street feels beneath my feet, a lust for the touch of another's skin on my skin...a lust for everything. I even lust after cake. Yes, I am very lusty and very scary.” “My spirit is healthy, yes. But I tell you, my flesh is healthy too. I am enlightened and free, but I am also lustful and carnal.” “I don't define lust as anything evil or nasty. Lust as defined by me, is the feeling of desire: a desire to eat cake, a desire to feel the touch of another's skin moving over your own skin, a desire to breathe, a desire to live, a desire to laugh intensely like it was the best thing ever created...this is lust as defined by me. And I think that's what it really is.” “Blood rushed to the regions of my body that I associated with sensuality, and I was powerless to stop it.” Lust is Only skin deep.” Everyone lusts. Everyone Fantasizes. When your lover respects you, you should feel free to explore your desires. No matter how extreme.” Ah, lust. It makes us forget anything we want to. The greatest relaxant, the greatest stimulant.”

To his coy mistress;Let me not to the marriage of true minds Admit impediments... (sonnet 116) Wm S;Wild thing (the Troggs);Blueberry Hill (Fats Domino);Wanna be your man (stones/beatles);Gimme some lovin (spencer davis); That's all right mama (crudup/presley) and Empty Bed Blues (Bessie Smith and everybody). The sweetest one is Blueberry Hill; the most lascivious Bessie Smith and her new coffee grinder; the saddest probably Crudup and the most urgent Marvell and the Troggs.

The woman of a thousand feelings. The woman that evokes so many emotions in me that I feel like I'm about to explode. If only she could feel my heart every time I hear her voice, or she looks into my eyes. If only she could hear the words that sit on the tip of my tongue when I'm around her. If only she could tell just what she means to me. Then she would cry. She would cry those 1000 feelings I feel every time she walks through my mind.

“I think our last kiss was meant to be quick and chaste, but after the first touch of his lips fire leaped up and roared through my belly. My fingers yanked him close, digging into his back, and his arms crushed me to him as if wanting to meld us together. I knotted my fingers in his hair and bit down on his bottom lip, making him groan. His lips parted, and my tongue swept in to dance with his. There was nothing sweet or gentle in our last kiss; it was filled with sorrow and desperation, of the bitter knowledge that we could've had something perfect, but it just wasn't meant to be.” ― Julie Kagawa, The Iron Daughter “She looked like the kind of woman I could fall in love with. Trouble is, she was standing next to the kind of woman I’d like to make love to.” ― Jarod Kintz,This book has no title. Musing and not about anyone in particular.....you all make me think too much.

Well the worlds that we come from, oh my darling they are so far apart, and that it couldn't work is something I knew from the start. Still if wishes were fishes, then I'm worth a whole school and if longing was money, I'm a fat wealthy fool. And though I see you often, it's when we're apart, the thought of your sad eyes it near breaks my heart. And I wonder if you saw me, would you kiss me, If I held you would you shudder, In the way that I do, Oh tell me would you?

As a child I read a lot of Fantasy/SciFi novels... as well as one or two more classical pieces of literature.Something that I've always taken to heart is "All that is gold does not glitter" poem (from Lord of the Rings)... don't assume that because it isn't 'pretty' on the outside that it isn't beautiful on the inside. When trying to deal with the disparity between woman and man “Any fool knows men and women think differently at times, but the biggest difference is this. Men forget, but never forgive; women forgive, but never forget.”And finally when trying to console myself after an emotional misstep... "'Tis better to have loved and lost / Than never to have loved at all".There are many more idioms that help express feelings and views on the world but they only come when the moment is upon me.SG

Don't over think it!!!! The words "I love you" coming from someone standing in front of you, with the words that are being said can be seen in the persons eyes who is saying it..... That is all that is needed to send the feeling of heaven flow through the soul. - Posted from rhpmobile

THE IVY CROWN - William Carlos Williams. One of me favourite writers. The whole process is a lieUnless, crowned by excessit break forcefully, one way or another, from it's confinement - or find a deeper well.Antony & Cleopatra were right; They have shown the way.I love you. Or I do not live at all.(that's the first part)Many, many wonderful things written, said, sung, played, painted & crafted to commiserate and celebrate affairs of the heart...and sex organs. Wouldn't know where to stop listing. It's all good medicine.

Opera provides some of the most the most poetic language.....search out a recording of Dame Kiri Te Kawana signing it...absolutely beautiful. Whether in the original German..... Or the English translation - Morgen translates to "TOMORROW" And tomorrow the sun will shine again, and on the path I will take, it will unite us again, we happy ones, upon this sun-breathing earth... And to the shore, the wide shore with blue waves, we will descend quietly and slowly; we will look mutely into each other's eyes and the silence of happiness will settle upon us. From Mr_Smith

Emerging slumber, Images focus, Warmed soul, Body remembers, As eyes open, To the morning smile. Memories flood back, Of the sensuous night, To fill you with joy, As your eyes delight, In the morning smile. When nothing matters, But the moments you share, Treasure the days, With the one who was there, To make the morning smile. And when she leaves, Do not despair, Hold on to the memory, Of one who did care, To make the morning smile. Radiant sight, Pure delight, Hearts' confession, Loves' learned lesson, The morning smile!

Naturally, to move on is an infidelity - to others, to the past, to old notions of oneself. Perhaps every day should contain at least one essential infidelity or necessary betrayal. It would be an optimistic, hopeful act, guaranteeing beleif in the future - a declaration that things can be not only different but better.

I sit and wait patiently, Please, bring back the moon!, For as she shines upon our nights, She brings along sensuous delights, So enjoy the fullness of our moon, Before she wanes all too soon, For then it's time to take a rest, So upon her return, We'll be our best!- Posted from rhpmobile

I'm not in love but I'd like to be. I know the universe will throw love at me once again and like this... I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close. The Tom Kat - I was going to quote the E.E. Cummins which is my personal fave for love but the insightful Awesome beat me to it. So I'll settle for seduction instead:ROMEO If I profane with my unworthiest hand This holy shrine, the gentle fine is this: My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss. JULIET Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, Which mannerly devotion shows in this; For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss. ROMEO Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too? JULIET Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer. ROMEO O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do; They pray, grant thou, lest faith turn to despair. JULIET Saints do not move, though grant for prayers' sake. ROMEO Then move not, while my prayer's effect I take. [He kisses her.] Thus from my lips, by yours, my sin is purged. JULIET Then have my lips the sin that they have took. ROMEO Sin from thy lips? O trespass sweetly urged! Give me my sin again. JULIET You kiss by the book.

What is it we seek, When at profiles we peek?, A meeting of minds, Before bodies entwine? Blank profiles perused, So often amused, No pic, no reply, No faceless guy! Must be chemistry, It's often said, For a chance to get me, Into your bed. Then one is found, She likes to be bound, Has just a little ink, Could this be my kink? So words are writ, With a hint of wit, Attention is sought, Dreams not for naught. Writ words re-read, With an editors head, Punctuation mend, Before hitting send. Then a short reply, Says I am her guy. Last line of her note, "Please, Sir, bring some rope" Disclaimer: this story does not depict any real person or persons etc etc. :-)

"You bewilder us with your grace. All evils transform into goodness. You are the master alchemist. You light the fire of love in earth and sky in heart and soul of every being. Through your loving existence and nonexistence merge. All opposites unite. All that is profane becomes sacred again." - Rumi. Deepac Cheopra released an album inspired by the love poems of Rumi titled "A Gift of Love" with guest performers such as Madonna & Demi More amongst others for a musical soundscape. A review reads: "In celebration of the human spirit, The Gift of Love is a recitation of the love poems of Rumi by Dr. Chopra and celebrity friends, including Madonna, Goldie Hawn, and Robert A.F. Thurman. Sensual Middle Eastern-influenced music backs the reading and provides breaks between sections such as "Love Drunk" and "The Light of Love." The Gift of Love is sincere and potent stuff, unafraid of the deep physical, spiritual, and mental hunger that Rumi's words not only taste, but roll about the tongue and swallow whole." The complete 43 minute album is on YouTube if you search for it. Highly recommended. http://youtu.be/X-idP23bHCg

It was the third of June On that summer's day When I became a man At the hands of a girl Almost twice my age And she came to me Just like the morning sun And it wasn't so much Her words as such As the way they were sung It was the way they were sung Desiree Oh, Desiree There I was found By the sweet passion sound Of your loving song Time was right, the night was long Remember, Desiree Oh, Desiree Somehow I knew I could only have you 'Til the morning light If only for that single night Sweet Desiree, you make it right Then came the fourth of June On that sleepless night Well I tossed and I turned While the thought of her burned Up and down my mind For she was there and gone Without one regret But she continues on Like the words of a song I could not forget I could not forget Desiree Oh, Desiree There I was found By the sweet passion sound Of your loving song Time was right, the night was long Remember, Desiree Oh, Desiree And though somehow I knew I could only have you 'Til the morning light The night was long, the time was right Do you remember Desiree Oh, Desiree Do you remember Desiree

Mrs Peachy, I love Neil Diamond. His words might not be subtle but you sure knew he was in lurve! One of my favourite love songs is Turning Japanese. How can anyone say the lines "I'll ask a doctor to take a picture so I can look at you from inside as well" aren't about being totally in love. Jim Webb was another wonderful poet though not all of his poetry reflected on love and lust. I still can hear Richard Harris singing Macarthur Park. But maybe I digress

I was listening to Neil Diamond from the time I was in single digits, sometimes from across the road at the shops as the music blasted out of the speakers at home. I would be the one asking f-f to turn the music down. So, I am a long time devotee... Presents in recent years have been his 40th Anniversary performance of Hot August Night on cd and dvd. I still have a request for the Beautiful Noise album on order LOL! I loved how the selection of songs I posted here covered such a wide range of expression. 'You are so Sweet' being a firm favourite. .Bahaha 'Turning Japanese'... that's an awesome line! Whoa, I looked up the lyrics for 'MacAurthur Park', that's awesome. Music could provide a never ending source of material for this thread imo. .That was pretty deep Awesome, I liked it, a lot, thanks.

Sonnet XVII I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz, or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off. I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul. I love you as the plant that never blooms but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers; thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance, risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body. I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other waythan this: where I does not exist, nor you, so close that your hand on my chest is my hand, so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep. - Pablo Neruda

She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn't supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something. - Rainbow Rowell

You came into my life Under cloak of many layers The rare honesty of your words Caused a memory to prevail. I thought of you often Lady Enchantress under veil, The idea of future encounters Set my curiosity a sail. And, as the next one unfolded I started to see The soul of Lady Enchantress The most beautiful soul I'd seen. A soul so pure, yet tortured Not deserving of such pain. The Enchantress under veil, Living the back flame. We met again and spoke Sharing values for many hours, Bathing in the the magic of words, Spellbound by their powers. Then as we lay when we did rest I knew I must confess, For in my heart I felt it true, My Enchanting Lady, I love you. I hope you get this greeting All I can do is prey For upon our final meeting My Enchantress slipped away.
