Woodstock Weekend....

July 06 2010

sex

Don't you just love the way Lessa thinks? I can't help it. The woman is simply brilliant. Take a look at this event..... http://www.redhotpie.com.au/Event/Swing-stock-Australia-Woodstock-Theme-Weekend-16247 Now, I dont know about you, but I absolutey adored going to those three day music festivals back in the early '80's out in the scrub somewhere with 100,000 other people, living like a hippy in a tent, swimming naked in the creek, sharing our lovers in the back of old panel vans and listening to the latest bands... you know like Midnight Oil, as well as some of the old favourites from the '70's like Rodriguez and Neil Young... yep... those were the days.... so much sex.. so much innocence... and pre 9-11... jump on the motorbike and ride, sleeping bag, tent and gf strapped to my back. hehe. Gawd I was born to be a hippy. Whatever went wrong? When did the man get to me? Top idea Leesa! Hugs Stalky

Hey Stalky, I love those festivals and really think there should be more aimed at the over 35s without resorting to Barry Manalow tribute shows ! I recall my first Midnight Oil concert. There was a distinct sweet smokey smell in the air wafting over the Kooyong Stadium. xx Miss Saturn

I've been going to the 'Blues and Roots' at Byron for the past couple of years and it's still a blast going to festivals. You just have to be in the right frame of mind. Anyone going to 'Splendour'? Want to sell me a couple of tickets with camping? :-)

I thought that Meredith Music Festival would've been brought up by now...that place gets so packed and is out in the middle of nowhere with bands on around 18 hours per day. The funny thing is on a Sunday morning the Salvation Army Brass Band walks all through the tented area playing their instruments...everyone LOVES it lol. Whether people get stoned or pissed or has sex...noone cares...not even the Security Guards and police...as they are told to turn a blind eye....unless it causes problems. Never a fight there and lots of love going around!! They also have another festival in the same area around March more for the older generation that used to love Woodstock and the music from back then...although that one only goes for 2 days where the main one goes for 3 days. xFunlovingx
