Many forumites have surprised me in person with their personality. Nearly all for the better. Preconceived opinions are always a human trait but what is needed is an open mind.

At the Sydney meet and greet I was surprised by a few people that I met for the first time. All in a good way.

I have met lots of people from this site and we do develop a sense of who they are via their posts on the forum. Some are very vocal, some sexually adventurous and some totally outrageous. It then comes as a surprise when upon meeting, the person you interact with can be very different from what I had in mind. All good btw as it just shows that one can't judge a person via one or few posts on the forum. My experience has been most good, except for a couple of people that I have encountered that was not a good as they portrayed themselves to be. disappointing really. Just another lesson for me to learn, and I move on. But almost all have been great and fun experience. Thank you to all of these good people. ☺

No doubt, I have had enough times done with the surprises of revealing the personas of other people (from RHP) in real life! Some were pleasant and their company were most fun and enjoyable; some were like meeting up once was too many times! But that's life and so I learned how to screen out the bad apples and moved on with wisdom gained ☺️ However, having said the above, I have only met a handful of the forumites in all this time. Hopefully, I am the same person in real life as I am in here, as I think I am 😜 - Posted from rhpmobile

I'm not very certain about your first question of "but who are we in our other life?"........did you mean it characteristically, or physically, or behaviour wise, or all of them? - Posted from rhpmobile

It's always hard to see ourselves as other see us but sometimes our online personas can be different to the one not behind the screen Q

What you see and read on here is generally who I am IRL (or so I hope). I've met so many wonderful people, I feel very lucky. I always try to see the positive in people, I've been disappointed by a few people but mostly I find positive qualities :) There are some people, once you work through the shyness, are absolute diamonds and have enriched our lives beyond measure :) Mary xx

I can get a bit hot headed sometimes...I think Im a bit quieter in real life. But Im equally as social in both instances. I genuinely love meeting people and like nothing better than being with a group of friends, whether its at a meet type of event or a gathering at my own or someone elses home. My other half is pretty quiet but he loves the social life we have and gets on with all of my friends. All the RHPers I have met have been awesome people, no one has been any different to what I expected apart from being even more gorgeous in real life. I met some great ladies and gentlemen in Adelaide, but I was really tired after missing our flight and getting the later one....I was a lot more sedate than usual. I really hope to get over East and meet up with them all again. Foxxy, Annie, Lily, Pheonix, Libby, the Adelaides, Nibbleme, was a pleasure meeting you and will meet you all again and hopefully some more of the RHP family. xx

I'm not sure what my online persona is, and how it differs from the regular me. Probably easier for others to say, as I'm not sure we'd all have that self awareness, unless people implementing some sort of conscious impression management. The forumites I've met have all been rather bloody lovely :) *looks above at a couple of particularly gorgeous and fun ones I've had the good fortune of meeting.

Meeka surprised me a little, but only because her online persona was so strong. Who are we IRL? Accepting, open-minded people who shy away from shoving our sexuality down your throat. IMO even though many of our friends and family know we swing, an individual's sex life is only the business of those involved in it. - Posted from rhpmobile

That cos I'm opinionated, and funny on the odd occasion, that I'm this huge ball of social energy..... To which I'd say "lay off the crack!!!" Lol cos I'm probably one of THE MOST socially awkward fuckers on the planet, and usually sweat starts running out of like Niagara Falls when I turn up to meet people.....fucking embarrassing I tell ya..... - Posted from rhpmobile

... since falling ill with chronic illnesses, my life has been severely affected by them and as a result, it has affected my energy levels and hence to a large extent, my personality. I'm a shadow of who I used to be. I think I've put up a good fight and found most of my mojo back although it's always going to be an uphill battle for me. I have good days and I have really bad days. So... depending on whether someone meets me on a good day or a bad day, the results can vary. If I have to deal with pain, then I'll be much quieter and subdued and a bit distracted. Someone might think I'm a boring, quiet introvert whilst another might think I'm a talkative, bright-eyed, cheeky girl. I've met people who are really awesome and wonderful and these few peeps have become my good pals. A few of them aren't very active in the forums and so there weren't any preconceived personas to deal with. Most of them are down-to-earth folks who keep it real. We are real people with real needs and a life outside RHP but we just happen to acknowledge our sexual needs / kinks / desires and that's our common denominator. Some people bring out the best in you and you just hit it off; others make you uneasy and uncomfortable. Can I say that we are different things to different people because we show a different side of ourselves to different folks? I no longer believe in first impressions because often, it takes time to really know someone and it really isn't fair to write someone off based on an unimpressive first impression. I have met folks who appear to be very popular etc but I have been massively unimpressed and have been left wondering what the fuss was all about. I have also met others whom no one seems to notice but they have proven to be great pals.

For some strange reason , as though what we are isn't lovely or worthy enough as it is. So yeah quite often when u meet someone in real life u are pleasantly surprised when they stop faking and presenting an over idealized version of themselves....u meet the real person. That's just been my experience anyway.

I don't tend to think about whether I come across as the same person in real life. I'm myself here and when I meet people. I can only go by what others have said to me which is that I'm the same in person. Although I do enjoy more of a laugh in person than on here. Everyone I've met from the forums has been lovely. Some have been a surprise package and have been a little quieter or more brazen face to face. I just see it as another facet of people. Some people communicate better in text than they do face to face and vice versa. But it's been a real pleasure to meet everyone I have so far.

Definitely much more shy in real life when it comes to meeting new people in a group situation where you know nobody beforehand. Apart from that, I'd hope people find me to be just the same as I am in here... Except for those who think I'm an arsehole lol

to the situations we find ourselves in.When I am out with the boys on large bike rides.. the fellas who meet me for the first time build a portfolio on me, which may NOT be anything like I am at home, and CERTAINLY nothing like "Cavey-at-work" or "Cavey-in-his-garden"Certainly.. the people I have to manage at work as a supervisor ... IF I ever let see my "Out-of-work" self, realise I am NOTHING like that at home.. (for better or for worse)When I am on a movie set, or out camping, or out with horses.. out on the beach.. or even sitting and getting drunk with a mate, I take on THAT persona..As most people APPEAR to do..I "Watch" people. and analyse their responses and patterns.. IF it is of interest to me at that time.. or if I am bored.. or if I give a fck...BUT.. who gives a fuck really??I just have a hard enough time being me... :)So.. I "Live in cavey time" - and if people find that false/inappropriate/untimely/or-anything-else.. then they can kiss my hairy arse..

According to Myers Briggs I am equally introvert and extrovert. And as Cavey has pointed out,it definitely depends on the situation or role that I am in.But it's harder for me to fulfil an extrovert role....I am a fairly reserved person and when meeting new people it takes me a while to turn on my natural charm:). Interesting response by the way,so very varied Q

What others think of me after actually coming face to face with MsJonesy. Hopefully it is a postive experience and that I am not that different to my online persona. Another forumite recently described me as blunt; I prefer the description 'direct'; I don't think I will ever change! Live is too short to continually blow smoke up people's arses. 😆 When I reflect on Q's questions I think I am quieter in person when in a large group. I do find large gatherings a little overwhelming; I am much more comfortable in smaller groups. Its a bit of a contradiction as I love organising our big Melbourne meet and greets, but perhaps its more the satisfaction of seeing folk having so much fun and making new friends.

In real life I'm pretty much the same as I am online, I think. I am quite introverted, but I do enjoy mixing with people. Like MsJonesy, though, I'm far more comfortable in smaller groups than in big gatherings. I do like making people feel comfortable in my presence, so tend to observe interactions around me until I get a read on the room. Someone recently referred to me as a "charismatic introvert", and commented that they thought people tended to be drawn to me in a crowd because I engage people in conversation well. I'm not sure how true that is - people who've met me in person could perhaps attest to that (or not!) - but is hope so!

Blunt is not an adjective I would use to describe you. I saw that and thought what would they know of you? I love your candour, wit, level headedness and honesty in the forum but best of all, your openness and warmth in real life. Definitely fun woman and engaging. One gem of a woman in Rhp.

Normal, work hard and try hard in all aspects of life.. Have I been surprised when meeting some, yes and no... Some people definately are different in real life than online and sexually as a FWB but that turns me on he he.... Different hats on is a way of achieving things in life, and my personality I admire that and attracted to it... it is an escapism to have naughty sex for some... But I love the whole person and all different sides to them if they were one dimensional it would bore me !!!! - Posted from rhpmobile
