I have had numerous pics rejected, until the one I have now. Would love to have had the Phantom, the ultimate Grey Ghost. Why do I not have a pic of me? Personal choice, I have it in private pics, so I have the choice to show it to I want. its a choice. Cheers

My pet hate are grey ghosts. I believe they should be banned as profiles. I do not engage with any grey ghosts and do my best to not read or reply to their comments on the forum. Harsh, but I don't care. Meh. Talk to the fist. :P

Exactly. So why not have a picture up? I don't know, it is something that really really bugs me. Just one of those things. Anyway, I know you so the fact that you were grey ghost didn't bother me. I just think people on here looking for hook ups should have some sort of photo that says something about them. I think it is a shame that RHP have become so strict with what photos you can load now. I liked the fact that someone might have a photo that meant something to them even though it might not be of them or even sexual in nature.

You are right,I had other photos that are apparently too big for this site now..and I was quite fond of my zebra pic😀...but I have been responding to grey ghosts who re guests and been pleasantly surprised by some of the responses xxFreya

(Always enjoy reading your comments and Meeka's as well - you are very articulate and hopefully I will have the opportunity to one day meet you both and many others at a meet n greet, so far I have only attended a Melb meet n greet) Yes, this matter is all about personal choice and I like the fact that I do have choices in life. I have a recent photo in my PG to share with people who are interested enough to message me and am willing to email/text further photos.I have no problem with communicating with others who don't have a primary photo and have met many men on the basis of giving the benefit of the doubt and although not happy with the results occasionally, have been pleasantly surprised a number of times.Photos are just 2 dimensional and I usually find that webcam is a waste of time.You really need to meet people face to face to gain any real insight into them.

Are good fun, bit like a lucky dip, and once past the initial connection a photo is usually forthcoming. The best part is most of the guys looking for hottie photos completely miss out which is a win win as it turns out. Nothing wrong with grey ghosts.

But unless a grey ghost is willing to open pics pretty quickly, we are going to lose interest. We don't mind someone who doesn't have face pics in their open pictures, we don't, but not even a clothed body shot? Probably a bad assumption, but we simple assume that either the person is not happy with the way they look, or they are brand new. Oh, you'd probably be busted Xeena. ;-) . One reason why using random body pics off the net isn't going to work. . I wonder how many people do try to hide behind pics with no bad intent, just not wanting to use their own pic. . Because there's also the security risk of all the info that's included with pics uploaded to the net. . I can respect peple wanting to be able to see pics too, it's just a matter of everyone finding the right match. :-D . I have to have a laugh that sideways pics bother me more than grey ghosts, lol.

Well. I hope I'm 'real'. God forbid a computer bot has the ability to write a full sentence. I have many varied reasons for not having photos:- 1. I live in a small place, I don't exactly want everyone knowing my business. 2. My job, not a good look. Yes, I know we live in this supposed equal world. The reality. We don't. Women are judged in the real world. Put into two baskets, quite separate. Nice girls or sluts. 3. I'm not really interested in hooking up, meeting or sailing off into the sunset with someone who is only interested in me for 'my looks.' My last conversation on a 'legitimate' dating site a day or so ago, was: "Unless I find you physically attractive, it isn't going to matter how great your personality is, I'm just not going to be interested." So, my thought pattern in scenario 3. Essentially, as long as I'm 'pretty and attractive' via societies sense of the word, you'll date me , or maybe even have me as your Girlfriend. All those other lovely traits that I think I hold, such as being nice, understanding, having a great sense of humour, being reasonably intelligence and someone who is there for her friends when the chips are down don't count. Essentially, my brain tells me, that if you're only interested solely by my 'physical' sex appeal, I probably don't want to know you in the first place. Because what happens, when I end up with this guy who loved me predominately for my 'looks'. Then, I say have a car accident, say my leg was amputated, my face disfigured, or some other catastrophe. What you're saying is, you'd leave in a heart beat. Because, you'd then no longer be 'physically attracted' to me, no matter how fantastic my personality. In the end we're all going to be old, doddering around with our walking sticks, with our beautiful faces erased by the passage of time. Notwithstanding all this, it's impossible to have sex 24/7 for the rest of your life with someone. Something else has to come into play once the initial lust goes onto the back burner. So having someone you can actually have a conversation with and have common interests with far out way 'a pretty little face' to cast your eye upon over the passage of time. It's a whole package. I've said this before, a photo gives off about 10% of who you are, your written profile say 20%. The rest of you, comes from you. The way you smile, laugh. Your character as a person. Along with the realisation, that not all of us are photogenic, catwalk model material. And yes, I reply politely to all my messages. It has to be something truly outrageous for me to press the ignore button. And so, beautiful people can become increasingly ugly over time, yet I have known the so called 'plain or ugly', to become progressively nicer and more attractive as time has passed by. One of life's hardest lessons to learn is, to "Never judge a book by it's cover". And no, I've never asked, requested or demanded a photo from anyone I've come into contact with. I even resist the urge to 'click' via a mouse on private gallery photos that are offered up. It spoils the surprise if you meet, and it builds a picture of the person that may in fact be completely and utterly unrealistic to their real life persona. So, I think that explains quite nicely why I don't have a happy little snap of my smiling face on my profile.

I sometimes go ghost. It's when I feel like ni don't want to Meet anyone or my message box is in overload. When I loose my mojo I go ghost. So long as a person has a face in pg. that's ok. We all started as grey ghosts. Maybe for a day or three. Maybe longer. Some stayed grey ghosts. There was a time i didnt like grey ghosts but i have matured in my thoughts. Each one represents a person. Each a different personality, each a different story. Who is right, who is wrong? A grey ghost pretending nothing? Or someone presenting themselves with photos that hide or conceal the features that they do not conveyed to the viewer? One could argue, the grey ghosts are the honest ones. You all look alike, so sometimes I mix up your posts. And at times I do wonder if the women are actually female, based on past experiences. I have no issue with grey ghosts contacting me, as long as they have pics in their PG they are willing to show. No face pic, no contact for me. I show myself and so I expect the same if someone gets in contact. Having said that, a pic showing part of a body for example shows much more creativity to me. Having no pic at all kinda lacks effort, in my opinion. I much prefer grey ghosts to fake pics that people may think is the person they're talking to though. Zebras and gerberas are cool. ;-)

Hey Mr 50. I said profiles with no pictures should be banned.......... as in RHP should insist at least one picture be visible for people to view. I don't like RHP's policy that it should be of them or sexual in nature though. I would prefer to see something of that persons personality. I am here for the forums so to me if we were all grey ghosts......really how boring. The grey ghosts diminish my enjoyment of RHP and I really could not give a rub about who is behind the grey ghost. The site is supposed to be about discretion. People can add pics at their discretion, or not. . People can choose to have something to do with people with no pics, or not. . not attacking you but just trying to make you see our point of view so please do not be offended. I do not believe Meeka meant to offend you by stating her preference. It is as much as meeka's choice to not engage with a grey ghost as much as yours to remain a grey ghost. again, as many has said, it is one's choice, all about freedom of choice... I feel the same as Meeka. I have stated in my profile, no pic (or access to facial pic in private gallery) no communication. as in so many forum threads i have previously posted in, my analogy is like talking to somebody in a bar with a paperbag over their head. But that is my opinion only and my choice of communication. I respect how you want to communicate that suits you. take care.

That's been posted about in the forums a few times now. I know at least one female RHPer has posted that their home address was found that way... more than once. . I don't discriminate against people without pics because I don't think having a pic makes anyone more 'real'. I have no pics on here because its my choice not to and I couldn't care less what anyone else has to say about it (That's the main reason) Other reasons are: 1. My physical features make me easily distinguishable 2. I live in a sort of small town, where everyone sort of know everyone and I have on many occasions bumped into people I know or that know me 3. I have had pics up on here sometimes, when I was 100% looking to meet up with someone, and I have met wonderful people through here 4. I am a grey ghost at the moment because just for now, for this month, I have no wish to meet anyone.....I am still working out what I want and have temporarily locked my profile to that effect but didnt want to leave mp photos floating around. 5. I am also paranoid...within reason. I have had my photos used without my consent before, about 3 times with 3 different people this has happened on 3 different platforms. Getting the photos taken down is also a pain in the neck. Only managed to deal with 2 out of 3 6. I am also just a private person naturally So, yeah, I am a grey ghost because it suits me for now.

Take a deep breath everyone and calm the fuck down - Having a photo or not is no different to lying about your body shape, your height, the length of your penis or cup size, its all a matter of how you wish to present yourselves - Interpreting what you present is entirely in the hands of the reader, if they don't trust you because you have no photo, or the photo you have clearly shows you have a damn sight more than a little bit of padding, well that is the consequence of your own actions. For the record I am a married cheating little shit who does not wish to have his rather handsome features spread around the neighbourhood. Lol. not sure that is whether banned is a good thing but having a picture, even tucked behind the grey ghost, in their private gallery is surely a show of faith that they are willing to meet and have nothing to hide . As per my previous post, in my opinion, i have a picture up, albeit just body pics in my public gallery. in my private , I have facial pics which is readily given to those I want to converse with. Again, a goodwill gesture, like any meeting of adults to reach a common ground and determine compatibility between two adults. Setting level of trust. But that is my approach and my way of thinking. I am a visual person. I am an average person, if I am attracted to a person, it will be whole package, physical, mental, intellectual and sexual (the latter to be determined). Just two people connecting. Simple.

I did only mean to be only addressing Xeena's potential to be 'personally' offended. . But I stand by Grey Ghost's rights to have or not have pics at their discretion. I love the idea of free will. Frankly, a huge amount of the pics in the forums are years old, including some of mine, and I'm sure, a lot aren't as representative as they used to be. . I'm talking about public pics here, but part of attittude comes from being a grey ghost for many months after RHP in it's fine wisdom decided that adding a like button to the forum was a great idea just over 3 years ago. Even after we moved or deleted those pics off our profiles, they still appeared on FACEBOOK when someone liked a thread. (it was set up very differently from the way it is now) That didn't last long, oh yay. All the pics have been replaced by a RHP icon considering RHP had no control over any of the shares and couldn't delete them. . So happy as to stick by my points that people have lots of reasons for what they do or don't do. Even having pics in the pg is not necessarily helpful. It's fine with me for them to do things their way. . And of course for you to do things your way.

Many people who choose to be a grey ghost have a variety of reasons..ironically I have never been disappointed when i have met a ghost..only when I have met men with pics that were twenty years old..or possibly were of their brother..the camera does lie btw and some people just look crap in photos..And I love a ghost,it's kinda like a lucky dip ...as long as he is the ghost that talks I am happy 😜xxFreya

It wasn't that long ago that another forum regular posted a topic about face pics. I wanted to link the topic here, but couldn't find it. From memory it was a demand that all people should be required to put up face pics on profile -so that he decide more easily who to swipe left and who to message. The discussion got heated when it was suggested that anyone without a face pic is a liar, a cheater, a fraud and a fake. From memory, many posts were deleted. Interesting to see forum history repeating itself. Although this time Meeka doesn't demand we put up a face pic ... any body part will do. I'm not at all offended. I am laughing myself silly watching who takes which side this time round.

What happened to the days you had a scarf tied to your bag or something at a cafe, making sure you can sit in the right spot so that when the person you're meeting comes in you have a good angle to see the look on their face... I don't ask for pics, and to be honest they're usually the last thing I look at. I try look at the essays first, then back up to the personal info tabs, then the interest tabs, and then pics, if they have them. If a grey ghost has nothing in their essays but autofill, and nothing to differentiate them in their info or interest tabs, then I tend not to worry too much about them. I respect people's right to discretion; I want that same right afforded to others. And let's not be naive. Fifteen headless pics of your (? possibly) body does not entitle you to a face pic. Seriously. At the end of the day, I'll ask to trade pics as identifiers in meeting. I'm more interested in what inside the head on your shoulders...

I respect your position on grey ghosts (with no pics at all in PGs) and same goes to Xeena and others who decide to go that way. Who am I to impose my position on anybody? I see no point . If it works for.them well great. I have no qualms in their method of communication. As I said their choice and I see nothing wrong with that but I will not personally cultivate a friendship nor engage with them outside the forum if they do not match my criteria. Maybe the lawyers in the audience can help with this. As far as I can tell from the Terms of Use, the right to any pic you post automatically belong to RHP. And RHP can pretty much do what they like with your pics. Including sell them to third parties. (Hello Sydney Uni)

RHP have allowed the use of our pics on facebook before which is something I mentioned earlier in the thread. Even moving them into our private galleries didn't remove them from facebook.

And I guess I'm guilty of running profile pics (and others) through Tineye. And whilst a grey ghost may have an entertaining and well written profile, if they aren't going to be forthcoming with a picture quickly, I lose interest very quickly. Just way too many fake profiles to waste my time on. To all the grey ghosts, I respect your decision to remain incognito. I've just been flirted by a grey ghost from WA, two flirts actually. I answered with "the short answer is No, the long answer is Noooooooo", followed by the block. Call me cynical if you like. Spicy grrrr

I work retail in a small suburb and I put a face pic up knowing full well that people would recognize me, but I don't have a boss, don't have kids and I'm a man. I can fully understand why people wouldn't want pictures of them that can be searched by guests accounts that can be made in 30 seconds that have no pic and a template bio. The simple grey image would remove a fair amount of spam contacts by the way of forcing people to read a bit of your profile before making contact. I would assume most blokes would check the show profiles with pic only option when searching.And although I am a bloke, and I don't think this way at all, I am fully aware of how a certain percentage of men behave when they a read a profile that states "looking for NSA". They assume you will have sex them and when you respond to their "wanna fuck now" message with no thank you they then unleash a torrent of abuse. It's that behavior that has me quite surprised how many women do have face pics.. Photos are important, but far to easy to fake, as are profiles. Just got to have a little faith that the world isn't full of assholes, despite lots of evidence that it is.

Ive had 15 messages since November from a man that wants my email address or mobile number to send me a picture of himself..he doesnt attempt to strike up a conversation, its always about giving my personal contacts. Ive said no thanks every time and also ignored a bunch (its the same thing every time worded a little different) I then get excuses I dont ask for and usually its a contract agreement with his work about no social media profiles. I wonder how a private pic would alter his current profile with an alter ego username? I tracked him down, married (not single) and owns his own business!

Search my pics all you like, they only exist on RHP. Anyone using the same pics here as on Facebook or LinkedIn is acting very foolishly in my opinion.

Thanks for that Well know we know why men get upset with the no thanks replies. Just because we may be up for sex with someone, we have no right to choose with who. We have no right to deny all the creeps and fuckwits that have no chance out there. They think its their right to line up for their right to stick their dick in anyone that says NSA? People choose to put piccys up or not. Work around that and get over it.......

If a home address was discovered by having a profile picture on RHP..that doesn't make sense because we dont HAVE our home address on here. If a home address comes up in a google search, then that would have to reflect her lack of privacy settings to maybe facebook and so on...and her address was found out because someone on rhp googled them, or something of that nature. I was stupid enough to give my number to a grey when I first joined RHP that couldn't load up a picture on here. I got the picture, did you get it, what did you think, got one for me, what are you doing, want to catch up, hi sexy, hi sexy, hey sexy..THEN! who do you think you are, I hate you, fuckn old slut. A picture in a private gallery is the safest way to communicate on here. .if someone sends you a message (or 10) on here then you shouldn't have to give out personal information to see what they look like! There are far too many ghosts that dont chat, just constantly ask for email addys. Half are spam, the other half are scary. Ghosts that send someone a message should have a picture available for that person in a private gallery. Looks matter for a start..and a ghost looks just like a lot of ghosts that arent very nice, the only thing you have in common is that you didnt read my profile. I go grey when I want time out, not to send someone a message..I wouldnt be that rude.

If RHP set up a separate site only for greys..and you had no access to profiles with pics, everything was grey like you.. would that be ok with you? Would you stay logged in as often as you do now? Answer to grey ghosts' messages and flirts if their profiles were well written. But tend to lose interest if they put up a template profile, which I get no information about who they are and what they want or seek, etc. especially with the relationship status that says "Ask me"! I respect that it's people's choice to be a grey ghost, but it is also my choice to choose to communicate with them or not :-) - Posted from rhpmobile

littlenicky When you use a mobile phone to take a photo, your latitude and longitude coordinates are embedded in the metadata. Simply extract the coordinates, map it onto google maps and find out where you live.
