My name comes from a late night at work and a coworker going slightly off the rails... "hey, pass me that sir... "I looked at her funny and she's like "lady... bits!"I'm not sure where the bits came from, but we laughed until we hurt and I was SirLadyBits for the rest of that shift :P Liked it, kept it. Before that I was Bratzilla, also a name I was given by another, liked it, kept it :)I do find the crude names off-putting, I like a bit of character in the name, it is after all the first impression... I like to be able to hold a conversation with my toys, if they are no more than a walking set of genitals.... well, does nothing for me :P

tuscanred, there was a previous frum topic on this and I think the concensus of opinion from the ladies was that crude names are off putting and I suppsose it is a matter of personal preference. I think that people who use crude names are maybe expressing their sensuality and mean no harm, however I agree with you that the avertising is not always correct. I suppose there is only one way to find out. I have seen women's profiles with crude names like "3fuckholes", "trueslut" etc and they don't bother me. I just found it easier to have my name and the initilas of my middle name and surname as my profile name. Internet dating is probably the most difficult form of dating there is because you can't see and hear the person you are trying to date. The only way you will know is if you meet them in person and it is a shame that people are put off by names that people choose.

Some people seem to think I stole it from Nick Carraway, but the truth is I simply combined Nicholai Machievelli & Oscar Wilde into one name, and Nicholai of course was too long, so I simply shortened it to Nick, as The Picture of Dorian Gray along with The Prince and quite probably The Great Gatsby have definetly shaped me as a writer, for better or worse. And its not nearly as obvious as Sean Patrick Ellis... anywhoo...

I was extremely naive when I joined this site and chose a name that I believed suited who I am and what I would like to be. I thought what I would like to be should come first. ExcitinglyGentle. I've had positive comments about my name, that it does suit me to a T.My name also suggests to some who prefer the 'Wild Cat go get 'em ladies' on here, that I'm not really their cup of tea. I love that others have names that overly advertise their skills and attributes. It helps people decide with whom they would like to share a 'coffee'.

It was originally a single profile called orallyaddicted....because, well, I was! (yeah, I know lota of guys say that). It could sound a bit cheesy, but it was good enough to entice the gorgeous woman that is now my wife :)Changed it recently after reading the comments from the previous topic on this subject. Like others the names I liked were already gone. I started with wetnwikd after a mascara brand (it was wetnwild but that was already taken) so I used my personalised license plates - which I no longer have.Most of the really crude names make me either cringe or laugh as well, though sometimes I may check the profile out.Names that are a little different always interest me :)

Didactic means something that is made to teach or instruct, and I happen to be a school teacher. Tactics rhymed nicely with it (therefore, teaching ways), but is kind of ironic in that I prefer to take instruction rather than give it I too will get a laugh at some of the names on here though. I received a presumptuous and rude message from a guy with a handle stating that I wouldn't be able to say no...Had a bit of a chuckle when I rudely replied that perhaps he should change his name to something more accurate as it clearly was a lie. After two or three boring and unimaginative names I had a burst of creativity in Feb this year.I thought the new photos and profile I'd written deserved a better name and I thought long and hard for a name that suited me.So, DAHDAH, Rusty was born. .Due to a period out of the dating game and some uncertainty with regards to my social and communication skills (along with some um... more personal interpersonal skills that were lacking practice) I felt a little bit rusty.Same goes for my looks, I'm no male model but I feel that a little work and polish here and there and I can scrub up alright. .As time has gone by I've received a number of kind words and compliments and I've thought perhaps my handle could change, maybe to show the growth in confidence I've felt. .Nah. The idea was to appeal to the sorts of people we wanted to meet. Like wise, we appreciate a profile name that is clever or interesting with a bit of thought behind it. We do find some of the more graphic profile names a little off putting, but perhaps that's the point. We're interested in connections, chemistry and the pleasure that follows on from that, we're not here for just the flesh.That said, although a clever name is great, the content of the profile is considerably more important to us, and classy photos always help...
