people are ruder here than they are in the 'real' world because they get to hide behind a veil of 'anonymity' .....and you cant look up a stupid nick-name in the white pages so you can call them and berate them for their 'ignorance' and 'arrogance'. get used to the fact that half the people who waste your time are just not being honest and wont be available to meet, if and when it gets to 'crunch' time, and that the rest have such high opinions of themselves that you really wouldnt want to meet them anyway......its a great place to find wankers tho...theres plenty of them to choose from.......

From the safety of their couch, a handle that can't really be tracked back to them due to privacy laws, I reckon some people get off on it? Their kink is to be a bully maybe?! I have seen a few persistant handles that are always like this... Or as there is no need to be sober whilst posting, they could be either alone or with mates off their chops having a laugh at the expense of others, peer pressure bullying type thing. Lastly, they've been let down too many times and want someone to feel the same? Revenge but served wrong... This on-line world gets all types... My skin has thickened up in my time here, i just delete the nasty (male or female) messages, I have found trying to engage with the 'angry/rude' people is a lose lose situation... Just concentrate on the majority, who are respectful, helpful and fun

It can be sooooooo much fun. You know, sarcasm is NOT the lowest form of wit but an extreme art form. Seriously, many think they can hide behind thier keyboards and the anominity it can give them, often forgetting that the humpty dumpty look alike has feelings as well as a large collection of on line friends.

What is scary is that the self-promoting pompous asses that write rude notes are probably just like that in real life. The computer screen just gives them a safety net to hide behind to show their true colours. Personally...I couldn't be fucked answering or following up with a rude or condesending note. Why buy in....tell them to go flog it on eBay.

I couldnt agree more. I respect people and myself. Being polite should always be the norm. That said, I am usually ignored or find myself being abused for being honest about having an open marriage

Well C - I think it is hard for some people to take rejection - hence the rude replies. I read somewhere that folk who put others down do so because they have low self-esteem (seems you are already aware of this). In a way it makes me feel sorry for them. So m'dear pay no attention - just smile inside and say "next"! So love the cute cat pic in your profile - aww! KK x

There's always a certain amount of people in any group who will benhave like that. Unfortunately, whilst a small percentage - they are often the loudest and will tend to upset a lot of people. It's always best to just ignore (block) these people and move on. The rest of us would treat you with far more respect and good manners.

We have been here for a couple of years now. We make an effort to reply to all messages. Of course we are not a single female or under the age of 30 so we don't get anywhere the number of messages that some people do. However we try to respond to all messages. We also make an effort to be polite and honest. We have never had anyone be rude or obnoxious. Certainly not to the point of needing to block them. Maybe part of the problem is the way you say no. Whatever the reason, like midnight says, they aren't worth your time and energy once they show their colours.

With me .. I Blocked and reported .. With my friend .. im not sure what he intendes to do .. specially given that the rude female has viewed his profile 8 times since being rude and calling him names .. Just cannot figure out some people some times .. And the way I say NO .. is the same as HSC .... "Thank you for your email. I'm not wanting to take things further but I wish you well in your pursuits." it suits most people .. but there is as they say .. always one rotten apple in the barrel .. I will comfortably move on to NEXT .....

Quoting 'HotSexyChilli' Mr_MrsJones, out of interest, what is your template reply? Mine is: "Thank you for your email. I'm not wanting to take things further but I wish you well in your pursuits." Short, simple, clear and positive. Works for me Chilli xx We don't have a template that we use. We don't have to reply that often!!! Not as sexy as you Chilli or you Celebree. We respond based on whatever the message says. Usually something along the lines of; "Thanks for the flirt but you are not what we are looking for. We hope that you find what you are looking for" Mrs Jones
