What's the phone etiquette for contact

August 30 2010

I have my number on my profile and have my phone on when I am available to answer it, which is usually at night after I get home from my business.Up to this point I have not contacted anyone via their phone numbers, I tend to think that if I have messaged them it is better to let them call me if they are interested. I have talked to a few couples and met and played with couples when they have contacted me. I almost feel it is too pushy as a single guy to be smsing or ringing couples or ladies given the relative numbers on the site.Whats the general opinion on this?

It is polite to send an sms first, to organise a good time to call, to protect other people's privacy (families, jobs and more)...

it's amazing the number of people who sms (or worse, call) at the most inconvenient time, only to get shitty when a reply insn't promptly sent. We've had sms's from 3am, and at 8am. We've also found a lot of people can't seem to grasp the concept that we'd like to take a look at who is messaging us, and a few times now they've refused, or been very evasive about letting us see a photo or two.

After reading your well thought out and written profile Rockers...I was thinking of sending you an SMS saying "Hi, this is Shazza..I lost one of my 9 kids on the bus..have you seen it?" xFunlovingx
