What to you expect 'body types' to be?

August 12 2009

Hey all!  I'm only new to this site and new to the forum, so I'm not sure I'm posting this in the right section or whether it's been covered before...   I am curious as to what people (guys in particular) expected a woman who has listed their body type as 'ample', 'a little extra padding' or 'large' to look like.  What are the differences?  I ask this because I've listed myself as 'ample', but when I've been checking out profiles (as you do *hehe*) and I've noticed that other women who look to be about the same size as me have listed themselves to be 'a little extra padding' and even 'large'!  Has anyone met someone with a vision, an expectation of their body type only to be shocked?  Personally, I would be so embarrased if I ended up meeting someone who I thought was ok with my size only to have an awkward meeting because I was larger than he'd pictured in his mind.   While I'm here, I have another question...what makes a thin, average, thick and extra thick male appendage?  What is average?   S xox

All of the "descriptions" for weight, penis size thickness... whatever indicate to me how that person percieves how they look. Sometimes that can be very telling... because it is sometimes at odds with how I percieve a person's body shape. Take "Athletic" for example..... I mean, I'm going to expect a pole vaulter will appear a whole lot different to a heavy weight wrestler.. but both are athletic. It's really just information about your own perception of your own body image that you are conveying. The more interesting one is dick length.... because there's the poor quality controlled "RHP inches".. and then there's imperial measurements... lol. In any case, most guys say that they are 8" plus because that's impressive, right.. and by the time you unwrap and unfurl all that dick... you'll probably still get your end in anyway.. so the "little lie" was probably worth it. Then of course, there are guys like me who are too honest for their own good... I mean take a look at my profile for instance... I shoot my chances down in the first two words about me! So take your shot and describe yourself any way you feel comfortable doing. Meah, I enjoy the forum though. I hope you have fun too. That's the important thing. Warm Hugs Gazza

I (Mrs) see it this way:'extra padding' - anywhere from average (but they feel they could lose a couple of kilos) to literally having extra padding which can be otherwise disguised when clothed'ample' - someone who is on the larger size and it's fairly apparent even with clothes on that she/he is somewhat overweight'large' - someone who is at least somewhat overweight to morbidly obeseEven dress size/trouser size won't really help as everyone has different shapes (size 10 waist, size 14 booty, or a 34 inch waist on men but a beer guy hanging over it lol).Sonsie, I can't really see the rest of your body but your chest is certainly ample (v. sexy!) If you have observed that other women listed as 'extra padding' have the same size body or bigger then change your description for sure.Otherwise you might be disappointing some guys who luuuuurve their BBW by being more petite than they expected lol

What gets me with most sites is they very rarely have ... 'voluptuous' or 'curvacious' to describe women.  As I don't see myself as Ample or Large.

I see average as size 12 - 16... considering thats what Australias average woman is :)

Thanks for your replies!   Mrs 2more - I so agree with what you're saying!  In the drop down list 'ample' comes after 'average' but before  'a little extra padding' so I had just, wrongly or rightly, assumed that it was in between those two. It may have been presumptuous of me, but given you took the time to look at my profile before replying with your advice, I've sent you a message with access to my private album (which is where the body pics are).  You made me blush and giggle at the thought of me ever been seen as petite ... that's something I've never been called ;) !    BustyWILF - You are so on the mark!  I'd much prefer to think of myself as curvacious or voluptious and definately think these should be options!   Thanks Kate...I didn't realise that the australian average was so broard!  Maybe I'm half average LOL

I go to the gym, I work out, but there's still that stubborn bit hiding the six-pack I know is there.  Dammit.Yeah, yeah, I know... I need to modify my diet as well - less fat, fewer carbs (none after lunch), and more protein.  And eat more often but less at each sitting, rather than once a day...  Or maybe I just need to alter my perspective, the guys at work just laugh at me trying to get rid of this stupid little bit nobody can even see...  sigh.Cheers!AllWork

Sonsie, to avoid any disapointment for either person, why not put up a pic of your whole body, not just of your bust ! The "body discription " is very misleading, and how someone presents themselves ( male or female ) I believe is much more important than anything. Two ppl who have the same body shape, weigh the same etc, one can look jaw-dropping, the other, not so good !!! Just don't lie about your age, REALLY ANNOYING !

I'm a size 16-18 and i describe myself as "ample." I dont know how accurate this is, but from my photos and the way I describe myself ( ie bbw) no one  interested in meeting me would be led to believe that I was slim, or even average in size. so, no surprises there!!!  If the option was there, as it is in some other sites, to describe myself as voluptuous, I certainly would do so. I believe it describes my body better. PS: boys, my pet hate is when your profile describes you as a certain height, ie 6 foot and when you arrive, you are so not obviously 6 foot!!!!!!! Measure yourselves!!! Unlike a description of body type, height is not subjective. If it is incorrectly stated on your profile it is because you have LIED. And thats just not SEXY.

I replied to your message but to tie things up here, you are definitely not what I would call ample. In fact, I think you would get away with average. You've got a waistline!! lol You're certainly not what I would classify as a BBW by any stretch.More pics!! Mrs :)

Good point BustyWILF, adding a couple of descriptions like curvacious or voluptuous would be good. A little extra padding could work for the boys, but girls are curvacious. Ive seen some "descriptions" that amaze me. They have pic that either show someone else or their interpretation of athletic is a wee different to mine... As Gazz said, whatever you think works best for you ;)

I think the problem arises because the site uses the same terms for men and women. I would prefer to describe myself as petite because I am small but still have curves just on a smaller frame but not many men would want to describe themselves as petite. On other sites they have different sets of terms for men and women maybe RHP should do the same.

I agree with the idea of two different sets of terms for men and women. (Mrs Salandy here).Curvy and Voluptuous are far better descriptions, as is petite...I wonder? I am 5 ' 4" or 164 cms and I am a size 10 to 12 and 34" boobs  28" waist  34" hips....i think my profile says slim but I am curvy. Average sounds plain dull as I am happy with how I look, even like how I look! In fact i want to change mine not only to curvy but to 'curves in the right places' :Pbe honest, tick the box that makes you feel comfortable and confident and if the limited choices do not seem quite right then add some detail to your profile or into your tag line...x

I'm not sure where to go with ample, I'd expect ample to encapsulate BBW and that type of build. I have seen some profiles where girls have been clinically obese and certainly endangering their health and read a discription which would have lead me to believe they were considerably slimmer had there not been a photo. I think anyone reading a profile should be prepared to give a bit of leeway, I would consider curvy or voluptuous to describe a jessica rabbit shape rather than someone who can't carry shopping up a flight of stairs. As for penis size, I'd say 6 to 7 inches is about average and thickness would be condom size, I can roll one down to the end and it's a snug fit, I wouldn't consider myself well endowed, more like average. I have seen some guys who brag that they're packing and they're my size, I'd rather not build something up and then whip it out and see a woman look deflated!. Men and Women can have fragile egos, it's better to be light hearted and honest rather than make up something that's not true.

l find it to be the other way around with alot of girls saying they are slim when in reality are far from it... i mean if they are under 5'5 and over 55kg, then they are generally not thin/slim at all, but you would be suprised how many have it on their profiles, are they kidding themselves, or maybe i am just to biased/realist as i am a 6'3 93kg guy who has a swimmer's body, a see way to many girls in the swimwear?!!

Sorry people....I did reply to this thread ages ago, but it appears that it didn't go though (I'm liking that posts now appear straight away though).   I agree....they're definately should be different descriptions for guys and gals and voluptuous or curvacious would be great options for women!    Lovebitten - I've had experience with the height issue myself and whilst I really don't prefer any particular height, being a relatively tall woman myself, it does come as a bit of a shock when you suddenly find yourself taller than the guy you're meeting!   Bexta - yeah, I will look at putting some more pics on my public profile but in the mean time that's why I give access to my private gallery when replying to messages.   nostrings - even the term 'BBW' is subjective though and I don't know that it was originally intended to be used to describe the slightly more voluptuous women who can still carry shopping up the stairs.  Most porn sites I've visited (me? porn? never ;) ) have fetish sections for BBW and these women are much bigger than what I would consider 'ample'.

I really like the feel of being in the presence of someone who is very comfortable with who they are...I'm 5ft 1 so pretty much everyone looks tall to me.For the record I am definitely a D cup, John is definitely 6ft2 and I am slim but with a far from tight tummy:P  Three babies later....But I am happy wth what I am:)Back to one of the first questions though, length is not subjective, but the thickness thing - what is the size difference between average, thick and very thick?  I'm not sure anyone knows the answer.  Sonsie, maybe we should make a definition?

Why not have options for height and weight in the body descriptions? Both objective, quantifiable measurements which give more information than terms such as ample etc.

Oh dajm...I don't know how many women would like to disclose their weight...and I for one would probably (read: definately) lie .  I do see where you're coming from though but I don't think that weight and height alone give a very accurate portrayal of what body shape they are.  For example, I am fairly tall and have 'womanly' hips & bum and huge breasts, but I also have a waist line yet someone else my weight and height could be bottom heavy, top heavy, round or even really toned (we all know muscle weighs more than fat).

johnnyd...sorry I missed your post before *blush*.  I must agree, I didn't appreciate how tight my tummy was until after I had children...but alas, by then it was too late *giggle*.  Now for the 'average' thinkness, I'm thinking that maybe 1.5 inches is average?  What do you reckon?   niloctnag... thanks - I think so too ;)

i agree with the thought of having other, more positive, catergories for sizing, and not just with body size. i often find it embarrasing having to click the 'DD and up' box on these sites, when i am a proud FF/G cup, and it because of this classification that i feel embarrassed, and admittedly, makes me shy to classify my body size, as i often get the comment 'your breasts are only large because you are overwieght'. my man also found it difficult to classify his body size as well. where he may have a large stomach, he has very toned arms and legs. i think that body classification should be left to discretion of the user
