I dont mind flowers but I prefer a bottle of wine...something we can share. It really does depend though on how often we have met before and is this a daytime date? Dinner? Evening? Just play?

It is my fantasy for a guy to show up on my door step dressed as a cowboy (boots, jeans, chaps & cowboy hat) with his bi male friend in toe! But to be more realistic.. Id be happy if he was to show up with a nice meal (love food) & some red roses (I'm a sucker for the old fashioned romantic gifts). Taby x

all depends on why youre going there.if youre going to her home for dinner...take drinks or dessert.if youre going for sex...take condoms and lube.if youre going to take her out...give her flowers if she likes them...but best of all....ASK her what she would like you to bring....then bring it!JMO...BJxxx

I recently had a friend turn up for coffee bearing two fragrant yellow roses that he had filched from a neigbours garden. To me this was an incredibly sweet gesture. Those of you who know me...or who read the forums regularly...may remember me talking about the love of my life who died in a drowning accident over 20 years ago. This was something he used to do. Unknown to the friend who did an extremely nostalgic, and for me, wonderfully sweet thing.

I think you can never go wrong with a good bottle of wine, but show you are thinking by finding out whether the person you are meeting drinks red or white first. Queen Adelaide is my personal choice, or a good chateau-cardboard......kidding. C

- if you're meeting for sex, a bottle of wine or champers is excellent! or a bag full of toys, of course :) - for a date, nothing beats flowers. who isn't a sucker for flowers? but if you brought flowers outside of a romantic date, i'd personally get a little confused (unless we had an ongoing casual situation that was very clear).

Would have to agree, are beautiful and exotic looking. Unfortunatley when someone says lillies I automaticaly think of Arum lillies which are often used at funerals. I actually like the arum lilly but their cousins, the Asiatic are far more spectatular.

sorry people but not all ladies enjoy flowers i dont...i think they are a waste of money so boys if your turning up on my doorstep...hahahaha as if id invite any man to my doorstep...dont waste your money but having sid that..many years ago i use to have a boy that picked me flowers from the garden on the way and that was very cute...so Fionabee i do agree with you there roxxy

Screw the artifical things like flowers, wine and candies... I mean, I guess some girls like that kind of things and good for you if you want to set a good impression.... As for condoms - I am certain most households have a box of condom and lube in their bedside table... if any girl was to call a guy over... she's bound to be prepared!! Just bring yourself... with your sense of humour and wit oh and dont think your fashion sense... dont think any female would like to open the door and come face to face with a guy who hasnt showered for days, wearing unironed and ripped up clothes!!

One night this last week, talking on phone thinking boring night at home on my own out of the blue knock on the door and to my awesome surprise the most awesome sight seen in a long time, what did he bring just himself his wonderful personality and awesome presence so proved soemthing to me just bring yourself (and you know who you are hmmmmmmm name starting with o) and this girl will melt anytime. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmxox
