Relationships are conducted via the internet and the mobile phone. Gone are the days when you only saw each other maybe once a week and that was that. He arrived in the car and picked you up to go to the movies or whatever and all the younger siblings were giggling out the window embarrassing the f#*@ out of you. Today, it is constant text. My kids do this as well while one or the other is at work and the teenagers in my care would just die without thier mobiles. I must admit to doing the same. As for being dumped? Dont know and can not remember it was so long ago. Well over quarter of a century since I was last dumped anyway.

At least you could have a laugh at the silliness of his reason. It's the no contact, disappearing act, assume I've dumped you scenarios that do my head in ! I recommend you go buy new bait for your fishing rod, find a nice place to drop the line, sit back and lure them in.... won't be long before a you catch something. Hugs, Saturn

I don't think I would loose too much sleep over that one, RB...that's more of an excuse and not a reason. I think Bam Bam did manage to score with Pebbles although they really were in the stone age...and this one sounds like a bit of a technophilliac if he needs a mobile to connect. | A while back before I went to work on the cigarettes (progress, not perfection...leave my Cohibas alone) I spent a very enjoyable night..we stood on a balcony and shared a bottle of champagne, both had more than a few cigarettes then followed on with the evening and the next morning together. I even fibbed and said the snoring did not wake me during the night. Then a nice lunch and flew back home with plans then to meet again soon? I am laughing now almost too hard to type but got a note saying "I really prefer non-smokers"...maybe she meant she would leave her own at home again or was going to eventually quit. | There were some other issues that were on her side of the ledger book but ohhhhhh well....and I agree... | Quoting 'Miss_Saturn' I recommend you go buy new bait for your fishing rod, find a nice place to drop the line, sit back and lure them in.... | Well almost, anyway...there are better ways to cast a line over the water and honestly, chucking a dead pilcher in the water and just sitting there does not do it for me. Thanks everyone (well maybe not Chuck Dickens....lol) . I am having a bit of a giggle about it while breathing a sigh of relief I discoverd his true colours so early in the piece. . Usually it is the no contact & disappearing acts that do your head in as you said Miss_Saturn. . Ok then....here little fishy.... ....or maybe some honey....hmmmm.. Fire up the light sabres boys!

I mean you might remember mobile phones as being expensive, giant things that would take up all the room iin your tartan shopping trolley but they are quite cheap and would fit into a crocheted dilly bag these days!

ok....I do have a little itty bitty phone BUT it is a work phone and only used rarely for that particular job. (and paid for by that client) The rest of the time.....I work mainly from home and use a land line. When I am with a client, the answering machine pics up...would be the same if I had my own mobile. . So why do I need my own mobile? . Hey dontgo there.....that means you will be in Melbourne for the next Melb Meet & Greet drinks nite April 9? (see events page for full details). When I was 11 years old I had a boyfriend that i really, really liked (sweet puppy love, nothing dirty, we were still kids at 11 back then!). All of our year used to go to the monthly Blue Light Discos, good times (too cool 4 skool we were...)! But I clearly didn’t know how to keep a good thing... because the last disco we were at together I was feeling super annoyed that a soo many girls were cracking on to him, he didn't do anything to encourage it. AND THEN at school on the Monday there was a love letter in his tray that he found first thing in the morning from an anonymous girl, he didn’t try to hide it, again he totally did the right thing! Clearly not understanding much at that age, the girls at the Blue Light Disco and then the letter made me sooooo angry I guess I felt like I had to do something with all that anger, so my solution was to dump him! Great reason huh, dumping someone because they are too appealing and lovely? And he never went out with anyone else for the rest of primary school and we both still liked each other d’oh but we went to different high schools so it finsihed there :(
