a summer breeze washing over my freshly clippered scalp,swimming (preferably naked) in the ocean,quite evenings curled up on the lounge with tele and laptop turned off, and good book in hand,the smell of fresh roasted coffee,watching the sunrise turn the city pink in the morning,the heavy scent of jasmine on the night air,singing loudly and badly to the radio whilst driving,getting in the car and just driving, road trips rock,sunflowers,my cat curled up in my lap asleep,the endorphins after kicking arse at boxing,lazy afternoons outside with friends, sharing food & wine & laughter,70% lindt chocolate,an expected smile from a stranger,standing in the rain,dancing in the moonlight, feet bare,musiccrossing bridges, going under bridges, climbing on bridges (the literal kind)..fuck there's too much for me to list, I'm going to bed now...Oh happiness is freshly shaved legs sliding into a bed made with freshly laundered sheets.

Springtime in the air, children laughing, birds chirping...oh wait a sec... this sounds like a Disney movie! What makes me happy? Plane landings. Shoe sales. Nice smelling shampoo. Flirting. Favourite songs. Snorkelling. The buzz you get when someone you like sends you a text message. Receiving flowers. Hotels. Monty Python. Clean sheets. Getting the clean sheets dirty again. Green traffic lights. Sexy cops. Sexy men in general. Sexy people in general. People in general. Dirty dancing. Massages. Having an ungoogleable name. Kissing. The feeling you have after a workout. For me it is horse riding, getting away from the stress of everything. When im out riding its just enjoying the wide open spaces, im lucky the property i go riding on has damns and kangaroos and other animals. It such a great stress reliever, starting off at a walk then canter and then going hell for leather in a gallop so exhilirating, leaves me on a high for the rest of the day.

I think this is a great topic and I can sympathsize with you. Alone now. Sometimes you come across that perfect moment. You're alone no one to share it with. Usually for me it's just something simple that nature throws at you. One in particular when I was still at school on an athletics camp ran up Mt Warning went right to the top only to have it covered in cloud. It was so surreal I sat there for an hour admiring the peacefulness. Then I had to run down in 20 min to get the bus before it left with out me. One other was to see the full moon rise over the water. Sitting on a sand dune with a loved one drinking port waiting but alas there was a cloud bank. Then on the horrizon there was a firey orange glow. It looked like a ship was on fire. It was the moon rise. We watched it's progress for hours. Then we slowly stripped. Basking in the full moon. Then finaly made love. Sheer magic.

Thats how it was for me yesterday , i walked down around Walsh Bay to the Quay and my brother text me from the States where he lives.And i was texting him back pics of the Bridge and Opera House, the sun was lovely with a nice breeze coming off the water..It is such a free feeling then i walked over to the Botanical Gardens near where i was married back in the day !! Then i had to have a Kebab !!

When I outwit my friends in wargames. When I have completed a landscape and the client is happy. When I tweak a recipe and it works (more lime juice!). I would just forget about everything, good or bad, the moment I see him. When he was happy, Iwas happy and he was usually happy. There's nothing like coming home and found him waiting eagerly at the door for me. So for me, 100% Happiness = 100% love = Dog + I xx

The arrival of a foal being born,just can`t describe the feeling of watching life get started and asthe foals try and get up after 1/2 hour after birth, watching their first shaky steps the first drink all this makes me smile from ear to ear. BUt I must say the day I sky dived ,I have never felt peace and happyness as the I dived .the feeling of complete inner peace when floating down .the high from this left me walking on cloud nine for a good week or so. The Solitude of the bush and camp fire.

This is one of my favourite things... seeing how excited my kids get Christmas morning. Or that feeling you get when your camping and its evening time and you and some great mates a sharing a beer over a camp fire. God there’s Plenty.. Pulling up to you fav surf break to find out your the first one there and its pumping. How excited your dog gets when you pick up his lead to take him for a walk ... A lot of things really WOW

Love Easter like a kid. Love eating lots of chocolate while drinking coffee. Strong coffee and lots of it I can keep this up for hours. Even do it in the bath. Bit hard now cos no one here to get me my coffee. The I get sick of coffee and move on to Tokay to wash it down. Mmmm even better than coffee but it bites. Lol this year I might just stick to Tokay. (like a port wine) Fab.

alot of things to me. Things that make me happy non-sexually,easy; 1)dancing or singing like nobody is watching or cares. 2)a nice summers day with a gentle breeze 3)thunderstorms 4)planes arriving and departing 5)seeing newborns-so gorgeous and cute 6)a friendly chat from a stranger 7)knowing that my family is doing well 8)a mans cologne or aftershave 9)going for a days travel somewhere that i haven't been before 10)unconditional love from family and friends. Oh My Goodness Taipan12,I have all these songs on my ipod that do the same thing.Or even worse make me want to get my freak on (dance) because its so catchy or because it yes requires someone there. sexyme21

A special Happiness, Climbing a very high mountain and lucky enough to have had shared the moment with another person's smile/laughter. Throwing myself out of an aeroplane (my 40th) Learning to dive in Fiji, omg Stepping out of my comfort zone Pushing limits Drama movies Taking girlfriends kids hostage to see kids movies Meeting fresh happy people My dog My bake dinners, my parents etc etc lol Taipan, you are a cool cucumber and it is so refreshing that you appreciate those kinda moments. -winning-when I'm on the ice and everything is 'just working' (still buzzy from a great training session tonight)-outside in the sun or the water - clothing optional of course :)-when the kids I coach are performing at their best-walking out of a spin class with jelly legs.-cool, fresh sheets, natural lighting and a good book.-call me a big girl but I like frangipani trees (though not the stickers on cars).lol @ Polar Bear girls 'lindt chcoclate' - I just did a last minute easter egg run, the lindt rabbits didn't survive... just their crumpled and torn golden hides and a little bell on a ribbon left. (which reminds me - those bells on ribbons from lindt bunnys go GREAT around your lovers ankles and wrists, lol - and a great excuse to eat FOUR of em)

the two things which make me the happiest are:a special person...whether being with them, speaking to them on the phone, or receiving a text message...that makes my heart and soul glow...helping someone out...whether it be something big or something small...seeing the happiness etched on their face and watching as it spreads and bounds and touches everyone they see...that also puts a smile on my dial...and of course my son...every day he warms my soul...as he cuts me up...into tiny little shreds...the bugga....lolcheersJose...

Today i bought my 80 year old mother a digital set top box for the tele in her bedroom.. now she can get a clear picture on all channels plus the additional HD channels..Dad died a couple of years ago , so she is still learning to live without him as we all are..But the smile on her face to have a good clear picture and multiple channels was priceless today.. Have a great Easter xx

Taipan, You truly are a treasure, so glad you share this with us..Great post and so natural..Isn't it great when you do things for Mum. I thought of you today(feeling I am stalking lol), went to dog beach with my baby (no!!! was not thinking of you as a dog lol, let me finish) lol lol...My baby is deaf (german shepherd) and obvioiusly won't come when I call her lol, I still call her nevertheless...Anyway I have a jyenormous lead so I still have control of her...I went with my neighbour and her dog...The water was crystal blue, I had the lead fully stretched so she could sit on the beach whilst I swam, I crawled toward the beach where she was sitting looking at me and she walked into the crystal blue water and gave me the biggest, longest, salty lick...oh yeah, I smiled so hard...love her... Perhaps the long salty lick made me think of you lol lol...no seriously just another happy soul tingling moment for the archives...which I wanted to share. xoxoxo Lick and a Wag!! Just the other week was in the city waiting for the wife, luv of my life finish a fun run for kids.While waiting I was walking past the arts museum and old man that look homeless playing on the harmonica with a little cash box in front of him.So I dont know why I did it but I reach in the pockets for some change and had none, so i looked in the wallet and I only had a fiver ,so I reach down and placed the fiver in his box.Now the look on this old blokes face was a moment I wont forget when he saw that I had place a fiver in his box.Now the tears of joy that the old boy had rollin down his face is moment that touch me deeply and left me happy as for the rest of the day . quietcolt it`s amazing what a simple act of kindness can do for one`s happiness,and the joy that it spreads to others

Happiness for me is my kids telling me they love me and makin me a cupaa first thing in morning( even though the bloody thing is cold) lol horseriding on an early spring morning in the bush fishing sharing a night of passion with a person u care for and waking up in their arms my true friends :) having a healthy and happy family and watching a new born animal( the innocence and purity of the animal) just blows me away. Just a few of what makes me happy. BUt shhh dont tell anyone... people will think i have a heart xxxxxxxxx ;)

Wow - what a wonderful, awe inspiring thread and a nice reminder on how good little or big things are. Hmmm for me happiness is : The feeling of a good quality raspberry truffle melting away in my mouth - just makes me sigh Spending time with my nieces - they give the best cuddles and compliments Feeling raindrops on my skin Dancing!!! especially to dodgy 80's music ;) Petting a cute little dog - they just love so unconditionally Rainbows Spa baths - nothing quite as relaxing or indulgent Laughing with friends who don't care how silly or childish you are the sheer beauty of nature Quietcolt - wow - what an amazingly selfless experience - must have instilled faith about the universe just from something you initially thought as a small gesture. Giving with no expectation is really one of the best ways to both be happy and spread the love and joy xoxo smiling away

What makes me happy................................. There are quite a few but to start with that feeling you get when you have found that someone that sees your inner beauty before what your outsides look like and revells in it with you When I see an old couple walking down the street still holding hands as they stroll together When a child looks up at you and you see that they are proud of who their idol is When you see a child grow up and speaks and acts like you do When you see someone's eyes smile before their mouth does There are many others but these are my main ones
