What are RHP 'friends'?

I hate getting requests to be added as a "Friend"...most of these people have never even talked to me nor sent me a wink at all! Are they kidding themselves to think I would even add them? < As I said I only add Forum Contributors...I did have a guy that I had slept with a couple of times...but after my last disappointment with him...I took him off! xFunlovingx

My friends list is made up of my yummy other half, followed by friends. Some are very good friends, some are forum friends, all of whom I've met or hope to meet at some point. But they're all people I'd call friends. I don't add randoms. I actually quite like your rules for adding people Cherry :-) Flirty x

People I chat to on a regular basis. People I have met...not necessarily played with. If the chats stop and that 'friend' falls by the wayside...then he/she is removed.

We only have people we have met, and people we are looking at meeting. I don't really understand the whole adding random people on here... wouldn't you just use Facebook for that?

when it comes to facebook, we only add people that we actually know.. but people always look through other peoples friends list on here so we add most people - its a form of advertising i guess

Most of their friends were pretty hot but they had never met or communicated with. They treated their friends list as a form of advertising the people they were looking for. On a side note, when perusing someones profile their friends list does have an affect on how I view their profile. I tend to give someone who has mutual friends more credibility. Probably once upon I time I accepted everyone. Not anymore. I have to actually know you or admire/like your forum contributions (and there are a lot of contributors I admire I just havent hasselled them with a friend request). And when I look at a profile one of the first things I look at are the friends list. If it is ridiculous I go no further. FFS this isnt facebook or a school yard comp to see who has the most friends. I just like quality over quantity anyday.

on Facebook i only add people i actually know but on here, i will add people i've spoken to, people whose opinions i agree with on forums.... This is a lot more anonymous than Facebook, so unless you chose to publish your last names etc I dont see the harm in adding people as friends...

Nice thread, i'm glad someone brought this back. I say clearly in my profile, if i haven't at least met you (intimately or not) I won't be accepting your request. The only exception to that is forum faves of mine. Doesnt' stop people wanting to send a request and that's nice but if i've never spoken to you and you don't post on the forums it means you want to get laid which i have also talked about in my profile.
