As an older guy all I can say is that never let your age go past 50. So many, no matter what the ladies age is recorded or actually is, has their age criteria set to 45-50 and once you go past that eternal number, you are excluded!To be honest, I am surprised if I meet someone from here that has actually been honest with their age. I know of some women that have wiped 7 to 10 years of their calendar but still get upset if the guy they are interested in does the same - go figure lol

hahaha!!!! Yes but Mooks we can often get away with it with the makeup and hair and 30 years or more of preening!!!! Didn't you know? It's ok if you can get away with it and actually look the age you say you are. Not OK however if you say you are 38 ( or insert appropriate number here) and i meet you and see 45 or more. hehehe...I'm just teasing says she who can't bring herself to clock that age counter over to 40 because she can't bring herself to say the F word

But is it fair and who are you deceiving? The poor guy/gal who thinks you are 39 only to find out you are now in your fabulous 40's?Me, I guess I am a little more pragmatic than most and a little less trusting. If I find out they have fudged their age, my first thought is 'well sunshine, what else have you lied about?' I do remember a woman from another site who sliced a whole decade off her age and with her looks she could pull it off, she did look 40. But she also confessed she had a 30 year old son so the math just didn't add up !My humble advice to all, be brave, and be honest. No one likes little surprises and I have found that most appreciate honesty over just about anything else.

women can and do hide their age much much better than a man can. they have the advantage of cleverly applied makeup, flattering clothing and even lighting. men dont get these tools to use....and if they (we) do, they are used very clumsily.you can be 50 plus and remain attractive, but you have to get the package right. we sometimes need to lose those extra few kilos, straighten that back and lift the shoulders, dress appropriately, remove the bloody earing and do something about those teeth, women have it down pat, but most men never get past the basics when it comes to personal hygeine and grooming......sad but true....we let ourselves down by being lazy and thoughtless.......................... mike.

I have 10 years to get used to the next F..... hehehehe.....and I'm going to need every day of it. I'm often told I don't look anything like 40..........very nice but doesn't help. I just had a sprin clean of this rather large house and it took me 4 hours and now i need a bex and a lay down!!!!! Nooooooooooo!!!!!! hot bath soon me thinks

Come forward and respond to this post. I'm like a kid in a candy shop :) In fact guys, if you're 40-45, even better! Yummo!! The trick is in the definition of hot though I think. I agree wholeheartedly with Mike about men needing to make an effort. Jeans are hot as, but the difference in fit between a pair of Big W jeans and a pair of Billabong jeans is ooh la la. I'm not saying go and spend a heap of unnecessary money on clothes, but I am saying learn about how clothes can add to your yum factor. Three significant men in my life who were each over 40 with awesome bodies were wearing old man t-shirts 2 sizes too big and stretched to buggery. I took each of them shopping, put them in fitted jeans with nice pocket detail and slim fit t-shirts and phwoar - hot stuff!!! I love seeing the way women look at them when we're down the street. I love knowing they feel sexier and younger in clothes that show off their hard work a little more - without being pretentious. Clothes don't maketh the man, but they do help to show him off :) A little bit of nose hair grooming goes a long way too :) So come on all you sexy men, show yourselves, please :D

Firstly after I finally picked myself up off the floor from laughing so hard about your last post. I came to the conclusion that a lot of men my age. YES my real age, is they get caught up in what other people think and not what they think of themselves.I've chosen to be single for a while and am a self confessed preener! Nose hairs, eyebrows and in the nether region. I do this because I'm conscious of my appearance as I do like to look good. Not because society says I should look a certain way. Now I know a lot of men my age and 10 years younger and OMG they need to take a hard look at themselves. There is no pride in their own appearance and they think there's nothing wrong with that. I doubt they look in the mirror at all.I'm not obsessed by my appearance but I know I can go out and feel good that I'm presenting a decent package and when there is a lady out there that can themselves be honest in who they are and what they stand for as far as the journey through life they have taken, then I'm sure there's a damn good chance we could make a go of it.Some of the comments about women putting their age down are only kidding themselves. Go for it if you are so insecure I say but you're not the woman for me. Take a look in the mirror, give yourself a kiss and say, Damn I'm hot! Because once you find yourself in this way, then you will be able to let go of the chain around your ankle that holds you back from enjoying the next half of your life. Enjoy life for what it's worth and for who you are. Not for what you "think" society sees in you.

as in 7 months i will be over 45 Though it is not for me to say if I am hot or not, some i may be some not, to me I'm happy with who and what I amnothing like bringing out the dead, but suppose opening up an old post shows you researched before posting unlke my self and so many others....pats jazzes back
